  1. different to what was mentioned. I do mail order anywaycso its no biggie. balistic, ring me in the morn. need to talk to you.
  2. r32, ok now you know know what you are looking for- go play. teardown is two posts above. KV2, google is your friend. I've given more than enough info to sort this without the xenavi box in place.
  3. G35 guys have a PN2615 or better (radio part number) they have TEXT capability. the 2414/13 that the JDM cars run doesnt support text and as such will display CD6 T-**. that said it does work quite well for music if you have some idea of the content of your ipod. as for fitting it - if you can tear your dash down then you can fit this easily. micah, if you are reading this show them the silver car's radio. danny, you drive the ipod off the radio or steering wheel. you can do it off the ipod if you want but its really not required. geek, its the same one I spec'd for you.
  4. do it a better way and drive the ipod off teh steering wheel for roughly the same price. no steering controls - no problem - have those too.. as for the speakers- bose use stupid impedance speakers in ther systems to achieve the power output they claim. fine if you wish to retain the OE amplifier, bad if you want to run a radio only with them. cd player is fixable at a cost of course. like most things in these cars its takes a bit more money to mod them.
  5. yep they are not cheap to fix/modify like some seem to think.
  6. got dosh? they $950 will be eaten up by the panel swap and interfaces alone. if you are serious have AT LEAST $2k to do the job. ALL the speakers will have to be swapped out as a start and then the car stripped to get most of the OE gear out. to retain the OE screen the 'DVD' unit MUST STAY. that runs the screen and controls. I have contacts in sydney and if need be they fly me in to tackle these cars. I work on these cars almost daily. questions ask.
  7. not yet. still waiting on a tuner for it. I have the processor here. will update once I get it right.
  8. you have the idea correct. I prefer to scope them so I know what I'm working with. when you do a EVO 8 from dry a scope is a MUST. the question I thought you asked was how to reuse the screen for a car pc. thats what I do with 99% of the cars I see now. if all you wish to do it get into it via composite thats easy. TV button, joystick over to teh top rt select VTR - done. make sure you are sitting still and have the handbrake on.
  9. too low for my liking. I would have SERIOUS trouble getting that into my workshop.
  10. you paint it. OR you get the correct colour one. I paint mine. as for your solution. AC controller, panel, bose interface leads. all up a $900 exercise. want it - ask.
  11. got a chassis number ?? CPV35-??????
  12. screen area. do you know what video and sync looks like?
  13. yep. 0397398866 - ring him - mention me. have roughly $1k handy for the swap.
  14. red/blk in the 12pin plug. from memory its under the +12v feed.
  15. vish, you saw yours in bits though. I do not think the OP has yet.
  16. correct. you will need a O'scope to find what you wnat and probably a sync splitter/combiner. if I have lost you there - do not attempt it.
  17. that is aftermarket and it bolts into the stock pocket. the system and mounts you could find on yahoo japan but its still going to be expensive. what are you trying to achieve?
  18. its the panels and controllers/interfaces that are expensive. din vs 2DIN - about $30 difference. last two car I did were in the $790 area.
  19. we've covered this already. its NOT doable without a lot of $$ - you didn't wish to spend over $500 on the exercise and it will cost a LOT more than that to do.
  20. also - bose or non bose radio. if bose and you do not wist to remove the amplifer then you will also need the leads for that. when you are ready flick me a PM. I keep most of this on hand.
  21. find another installer! The easiest way is to get the correct panel and the correct AC controller and a pocket if you need one. the rest - bracket and top pocket/screen will carry over. if you like I can post images of the rear circuit board that covers the ENTIRE panel to prove otherwise. I will add to that the radio powers that panel.
  22. stagea neo, got bubble wrap???? (came yesterday yet to strip it.)
  23. mind pointing me in the direction of them. the schematics will do me. also need one for a M35.
