  1. they arent set up like the new benz. that car knows if the seat is occupied and uses the bags if it is.
  2. and it does half its rated power do it the way I said..
  3. whilst you are at it grab the appropriate service manual off the net for it. the sub panel behind the battery is in english. the fuse you killed is in there alaong with the main lighting.
  4. I am but the concept that you have is not quite right. think VGA with raw colors/sync and that is what I'm getting at.
  5. no probs I have fast up to 09 so I can look up most things.
  6. not worth the effort. the system is 10 yrs + old and at any stage the laser can die. to date I still call vaporware on that project until I see a full dash shot with it running. chook, not easily a garmin. getting the command structure from them is the worst part. I would love to try another box though. if the TS system still works then I'm game.
  7. parallel will give you 2 ohms - amplifer won't handle that bridged for a long peroid of time. although less power I would suggest one per channel and feed them a mono signal. safer option.
  8. that would work though if you were going to that extent I would drop the video converter and do it with raw video. the IDEAL thing with that would be to reuse the one in the OE DVD unit in all thats quite a good solution for it. this is another: http://www.hitv.com.au/products/view.jsp?id=1&category=7 that is basically a windows box running CE. hack that and chuck on what ever apps you like. it WILL do touch screen as well. standard it does GPS,movies and speed info.
  9. depends how integrated they are doing it. yes it can be simple or a right royal pain. revolution electronics is who he is referring to. for a CV 36 I wold love to see his swap. that one I'm saying is more software than anything else.
  10. bad ign relay I would figure. they have two relays.
  11. chook , run yours past at some stage and I'll fix it where do not need that switch.
  12. if the you do land the car here land it in brisbane and I'll do the car with whatever options you want.
  13. there's probably a clarion service centre in auckland anyway. I'm not the be all and end all for these things I simply do a lot of them and tend to muck around with electronics more than most. I know of 10-12 guys on this forum alone that do what I do and they stay quiet about it. one of which repairs radios for a living.
  14. allocate $900. 700 for the kit and $200 to fit it. in perth I have two guys that can do it.
  15. no. there are specific connectors in there that I cannot source. if you are inclined to do so - try. the people that make them (yazaki or AMP.) will sell them to you in 10k lots. if you are the person from gatton - yes I can do your car - yes it will cost 2-3K to do properly and no it cannot be put to english.
  16. be nice and I'll explain (IE do not yell.) box is $500 or so and it will adapt/split a video signal into its raw colors and sync signals. as for doing it - not explaining that one. its NOT a DIY thing.
  17. usually with a dead navi the only way to do it iw via RGB->composite boxes. few will spend the money to do it.
  18. that its Mick Martins way of saying it came from his car lot. he had SVI imports for a while. if memory is correct that is duncans old car and it should have a mongoose alarm in it. he does a lot of his cars that way. I have a CPV35 currently with the same sticker on it.
  19. not factory. I do a kit for them that you could pass as factory though. uses the OE controls on the wheel.
  20. I'm in. I'll see what I have 'lying' around the workshop
  21. depends on what you need done.
  22. saphire are you on 12v inside by chance?
  23. there is a LOT of area in a M35 if you remove the small battery mount. 600CCA will fit if you get the right style battery.
  24. model:KBNR32RXFSLMZG paint:KH2 build:8908 version :GTR door seals: 76870-04U00 - RT side 78871-04U00 - LT side and see attachmnets below
  25. your second option would do it. I was making one from scratch. as for wiring it in - you *could* make a fake battery and stick two nails on the ends with the appropriate wiring.
