  1. me too. he's probably is a worse mood than you are..
  2. these are VQ25det versions - so turbo. they are failing ADR79.
  3. so its finally sorted. make sure whoever does the nav doesnt butcher the harness. I have a plug and play sol'n almost ready.
  4. so what EXACTLY are you asking? sounds like you bought a EBAY special with remote start and want to set that bit up. (illegal btw.)
  5. if you use a 6" them they will bolt in. if you use a 6.5" then you will have to remake the bracket to suit.
  6. sounds laser related. local clarion unit in the '05 pathfinder is the same unit sans 6cd stacker. getting a laser shouldn't me a problem.
  7. yep - use two sets instead of 4.
  8. if the mech is jammed then disassembly is the only way to remove it.
  9. you may not have much $$ left after your purchase but I would honestly NOT buy that unit. since you are in adelaide go see adelaide pro sound and get him to sort the car out. it will be done properly AND it will be insurance compliant. that one will last 6 months tops and IF you need a remote where are you going to get one from??
  10. they start at $2500 and go up from there. best to find a shop that specialises in them.
  11. how about an EXACT desription of the problem from the moment you put the disc in place. IE what the unit does, noises it makes and the final result. only issue will be parts if its a mech related problem . there are no parts available for it. the laser could be another issue as there is a local version here that i 'believe' used the same one.
  12. send me an email (in sig.) and I'll help you.
  13. what is wrong with it?
  14. remotes need recoding. if you have the manual there have a read.
  15. ring pioneer and get teh nearest service centre.
  16. when you put the screws in you may have crushed something. I had several screens do that. turns out the mech was damaged from previous installs.
  17. part of the reason I wont do them. I watched the above happen to a mate of mine with a jackeroo..
  18. ring pioneer and get their service centre- best and most logical way.
  19. as a trivial point the diagrams that are around for the V35 dont match pinouts are close but not exact.
  20. nope. what are you thinking?
  21. thats it. you can also grab audio off the tv as well.
  22. correct. its a aftermarket setup. as for fitters down there - none that I would trust to do this sort of job. (and I can't fly down to do it.)
  23. thats near enough. there is an option for SAT radio on those. its one of the spare plugs on the bottom.
  24. did this one a few days back - thought I would share. 04 350gt customer wanted his radio fixed and cruise control (to save his licence I believe.) so heres a few shots of the car and some of the mess I cleaned up there was an electric cruise used in this one. dunno who did this but I saw it as trouble waiting to happen and removed the crimps replaced the cuts with the correct wire and tidyed the the whole lot up. second shot I had just done the radio in this shot - note steering column chasing a few wires through - nav had to come out anyway - box on panel facing up is OE Etag unit. for those wanting to remove it - don't. in the service menus of the display it sets a flag and complains in japanese with it out.. cruise stalk (though camera focused on the wheel for some reason..) in all its a 5 hour job from dry and the result is worth the effort in my opinion after driving this car.
