  1. get enough people to make it worth my while and I will do it
  2. not quite. US market uses 200khz band spacing on FM Oz uses 100Khz spacing. FM will work US market uses 10Khz for AM spacing - here it is 9khz. AM will be patchy. I have fitted those units already. nice unit but the $80+ app for maps is a killer. the customer was aware that the maps would not run as well. he wanted it for music. DVD lockout is the other unless you want to burn them region free. I would look at the app store before commiting to that unit. some of the apps for that unit will scare you price wise.
  3. incorrect. i would suggest looking closely at the maxima unit from a wreck. it consists of: steering wheel with switch clockspring brake and cruise lockout switches lockout relay electronic control unit vacuum pump vac servo and cable. the latter comes in various lengths so find one that suits your car and use that. in my case with a rb20 it was taken from a U13 bluebird. if you do grab a mid late 90s unit get the matching electronics from the same car. the vac pump and servo you can mix and match to suit your position in the engine bay providing you get the cable and thread length correct.
  4. I can see how he's done it but I would have looked a bit better first. if hes bought EVERYTHING on the car new then its certainly doable. I have $10k in mine before I refit the steel panels and paint it. that said I did buy most of the bits new for it. yep! patience is a virtue especially if you own the place where it is stored for a few years. given he has lost patience with it - I would certainly agree.
  5. spend the money , buy new motor , profit
  6. microswitch. rs components. have your wallet out.
  7. nice fake. my previous US passport AND my current one look nothing like this.
  8. they are a 4x6 on a wide base. locally they do not exist. if you look overseas you can find them OR you do a 4" and a tweeter on a plate. now if that is not enough the copy the panels onto a bit of MDF and make sure that you put the rear mount on both panels or you will lose the door pocket seal.
  9. nothing new body wise. its still sittting on its side in gympie. I post up parts pix when I buy them. interior panels are next. all my plastic for the dash area is 2nd hand and has been sitting in boxes since I bought it. the dash pad will be new, the door and rear panels new and seats done in a 'GTR' type trim. all of that is easily 6-8 months away.
  10. intend to. easier to make a local phone call though.
  11. the guys that own those cars don't 'own' them. a company does.
  12. not me. fiddling with a car for a bit then going home. two nights a week out gets a bit expensive for me.
  13. late 90s.
  14. nope custom electronics in the mix with that one. no generic roll up modules at all. full automation. point still being - stop arguing with people and listen
  15. also if the M35 is a stat write off I wouldn't mind checking out a trim piece to see if I can make it fit a R31 (or F31)
  16. there was a fellow that tossed a VQ into a R34 on here. also look up sexy dave (david quinn.) he's got a VQ in a R31 and can probably point you in the right direction for the ECU work.
  17. I try to stay out of fights - no point to it.
  18. not going to start and argument here but I think this post sparked the fight. If you are capable of doing better than the 'sparky' you are downing in the above post - go see the office of fair trading - register an ABN and go for it. in some cases it IS rocket science especially if you are doing this: ------- now I am not sure of your age but I think you need to realize there are people that are smarter than you (and me for that matter) that can teach you a few things if you are prepared to listen. it is fine to sit on a forum and say I can do better - fine , do so.
  19. decided to order a NEW dash for it. bad thing is nissan local are saying NLA on the correct piece. they are coming back to me on the revised piece.
  20. maxima hardware with a matching length vac servo. Scott bailey and myself were discussing this last night. I think my servo came out of a bluebird. there is an option plug with speed and brake in the kickpanel of the C34s
  21. given the amount of effort I saw in the green one a ute would work well.
  22. new wiper linkages - missing 2nd pivot arm in that shot ( nissan local forgot to order it.)
  23. so you are doing the REMOTE control only or a new key?
  24. fark, leave a thread for a few days and I miss this..
  25. for those that are doing this I can MOD the tv tuner so it goes back to what it was doing prior. if you are interested hit me up.
