  1. Holy shit thats awesome! Any importers reading this, roughly how much does it cost to import an FD? Last i heard compliance was a bit of a bitch?
  2. Do you know what was causing it to excessively knock even using the default ignition timing?
  3. Mmmmm Bee-R! I wish i was rich!!!!!
  4. We're turning into America. Sueing people for our own stupid mistakes. Do you really wanna become like them?
  5. Theres no doubt Japan had a shit game, i remember watching them a while ago and they were fast as. I think they got themselves in the "protect the house" frame of mind when they got the first goal, and all they needed to do was defend it. It was obvious because of the lack of offence. But still, Australia needs to improve if they wanna make a dent in brazil. Viduka needs to do more with the ball then having his back to the goal and having to pass it off. The next world cup teams gonna be a goal fest - kaz patafta (who's currently the youth world cup captain) should be in the top squad. That kid has skill, he's 17 and he's already signed overseas. I used to play in the same team when we were young lads. He's a canberra boy so its gonna be awesome to see what happens in the future..... You think kewel is good, wait for Patafta
  6. Thats a whole nuther kettle of fish.
  7. When i was looking to install 6x9's in my parcel shelf i read a post telling me not to remove it as its important. I guess if you do a search about 6x9's you might find the post i read.
  8. Your asking a Skyline forum about which car to keep No doubt if you posted this on NissanSilvia they'll say keep the 180. Keep the skyline, so much newer, so much hotter. Harvest all the parts off the 180 that you can and you'll still be able to sell it for a handsome price.
  9. Come on Aussie, Come on, Come on! Come on Aussie come on! Did anyone else suffer a few heart attacks lastnight watching the Australia vs Japan match? Was a good comeback but if we play that way against brazil we're gonna get thrashed.
  10. Literally... Apparently you guys get the water that passes through our sewage works here hahaha. I think thats how it goes, i remember the older kids in high school paying out a kid that just moved here from Adelaide because he had been drinking our toilet water his whole life. I know i know, its naturally filtered on its way so big deal, i know. Just poking fun.
  11. Do you mind posting up a link so we can have a read too?
  12. Oh ofcourse you would be paying Australian dollars but what i mean is, are you willing to pay 35,000US dollars? You will soon realise once you get to Australia, 35,000 US daollrs is roughly 46,000 Australian dollars. I say dont settle for anything less then an awesome quality Series 3 R33 GTR (1997/98 i think). They're the last of the R33 model with awesome Xenon lights
  13. Holy shit... how did the Ducati guy pull up after that?
  14. Well are we talking US dollars or Aussie dollars. If your talking US dollars, thats about 46,000AUS dollars... enough to buy you an awesome version of an R33 GTR series 3. Thats an Intercooled Twin Turbo RB26DETT (2.6 litre twin turbo). Thats what i'd do with 46k, personally.
  15. Well that begs the question, what's a reasonable price for you? I could just come along and say buy an R34 GTR - but i dont know if thats within your budget... R34 GTR - Do it, do it
  16. Why is it when i asked Just Cars when i was on the phone last time they were not allowed to tell me what was legal and what wasnt. And why have others stated they've been given the same treatment? Exactly as justin911 says, if you have illegal power increasing mods, and you were speeding when you had an accident, why couldnt they claim these mods were the cause and attributed to the accident. I'm no lawyer but that would seem pretty straight forward to me.
  17. ^ True that. It's like asking for a 2nd hand race car, which hasnt been raced. Skylines can handle there fair share of caining. Just make sure you do the pre-buy tests to make sure she's sweet.
  18. Nah man im sorry to tell you but insurance companies do just that. They take your money no matter what, they tell you over the phone "yes you'll be fine, just as long as you stick to the guidelines".. funny thing is the guidelines are like XX pages long and people rarely read them. Just call up Just Cars if you want an example of this. You're allowed unlimited legal modifications. Now what does legal mean? Well Just Cars cant tell you that, go ahead, ask them over the phone, they will tell you they arent allowed to tell you whats legal and whats not, thats up to you to find out. Yet they let you list your Boost controller, Air Fuel computer etc - all of which are illegal to have on your car. In the event you have an accident, they can simply say you fitted illegal parts to your car, which voids your insurance coverage. Plain and simple - if Anjoo shouldnt be driving the vehicle in that state, and the insurance guy thats assigned to his case is a smart cookie, it may very well turn out that mummy and daddy will have to fork out another 30k for a new car, coz the insurance company wont do shit. It's an insurance companies job to find reasons to not payout. Thats why they have multi-million dollar profits.
  19. Dont settle for Naturally Aspirated.... go the whole 9 yards and get a GTST. Your budget will easily have you finding a nice R33 with some go-fast mods.
  20. You cant tune it so you no longer have that issue? I thought it was as simple deal to fix it by modifying the AFR's?
  21. You do realise you just contradicted yourself. Having your parents either give you money or buy you the car is the same thing. The coin is still coming out of their bank account. I bought my R33 when i was 17. I worked my ass off to save the coin and i'm damn proud that i could afford such an awesome car at such a young age, without having to ask my parents for money, or loan money from a bank. Talk all you want about the R34 mummy and daddy bought you, its still two thirds their car, but dont talk shit about my R33 - every cent that goes in to that car is mine, and im damn proud of that.
  22. HAHA you dumbass - i wouldnt take a laptop or a PDA to a formal event! Your at a formal event, act as if you're formal. I'm saying in every day life i would use a laptop over a PDA. Smart guy
  23. Oh no dont get me wrong, i would love life to be handed to me on a platter. But i know what its like to have to work my ass off to get things, so i would respect the things given to me and appreciate them much more if i was given them. I see it all so often, it happens everywhere. Kids who's parents bought their kids fast shiney cars in college we're always the kids who had accidents or did stupid shit in the carparks.
  24. Thanks for the acknowledgement. Its good to see that you got my point, but its a shame the person who my point was directed at missed it completely. Oh well.
  25. Not all of us receive life on a shiney platter, some of us work for what we have. One day you will learn that, and you'll see what i mean. No PDA's are a waste of time in my oppinion, i use a laptop instead.
