  1. If your only looking for 180kw it doesnt really take much, so just buy a stockish car and do the simple mods. Dont worry about this rebuilding bullshit, why spend more money then you have to. Just make sure the car you do buy has a reasonable engine to start off with (doesnt have to be as tight as a virgin, as R33's are a few years old). If you only want 180kw you dont need a brand spankin' rebuilt motor.
  2. Have a search around for the Falken-451's. Apparently they've been superceeded so some tyre places are selling them off quick. I got Falken-451 235/r18 front and 255/r18 down here in canberra (where we get ripped on tyre prices) for $950. They go alright i recon.
  3. ZOMG - what does the Z stand for? Tell the kid he's wasting his time putting a 2 litre into such a barge-ass car. RB30 / RB25 or its not worth doing i recon.
  4. Sneaky f**kers! You would think after buying a 75k car from them they'd take care of you... I guess the mentality is "well, he spent 75k so there must be plenty more where that came from". Bastards.
  5. If it takes more then 1 week to fix i'd go to a new place to get it fixed. Bad luck man
  6. Dont worry about buying a brand spanking new system, pick up a used one if its in good condition and you'll save yourself a heap! My car had cat back, so i bought a second hand 3inch dump/front pipe that just jap are selling. Picked it up for $90 and it was pretty much brand new.
  7. Your kidding right? What a joke. The judge will tell you to go away and learn how to drive.
  8. Grab it and pull, see if that opens it. Dont be scared now child.
  9. I think that might have been me, i was a little slow to react too. Your cars kinda dark grey/blackish yeah?
  10. For f**ks sake man, its been said 3 times: Originally posted by WRXhoon: Thats a white 95 model V-spec. This car was deregisterd about 2 years ago. I would stay clear of this car if i was you . To get it re-registered you will have to go the full EPA , good luck passing emissions with this thing. They have been trying to pass it on and off for 2 years, it has heaps of blow by. To pass it you will need to rebuilt the engine, GTR's barely pass when they are new . No it's not a good price for a GTR whos owner has been trying to get it registered for 2 years. If it was an easy and cheap task, why hasnt it been done by now! Forget it and move on.
  11. Man i cant stop watching your avatar, over and over again! Its hillarious whats it off? She broke her fall with her face. I like it.
  12. Business Name: Debarcle Location: Lonsdale St. Braddon Food Type: Pizza, salads, steaks Taste: 8/10 Service: 5/10 - Have to go to the bar to order Value: 5/10 - Expensive for what it is Parking: 5/10 - Parking in the main street of Braddon on a friday or saturday night... a little bit difficult. Overall it was a really nice meal. Shared a medium pizza with my gf. Was a little hungry after so i'd recommend a large pizza if sharing. Was there the other night when the brumbies game was on. They've got a massive projector screen set up to watch the game. Was a little bit loud and rouwdy but thats why we went, to watch the brumbies and grab a feed. Little bit expensive tho, but it wasnt too bad!
  13. Vortex and Vortex 98 are two different fuels. Normal Vortex is 95RON, and as the name would suggest, Vortex 98 is 98RON.

  16. Any good performance car mechanic knows what they need to do in the 100k service... just talk to your mechanic. If he doesnt often do performance cars, find one who does.
  17. Business Name: The land of goat sphincter rings Pide House Location: Jamison -- (another one in Civic) Food Type: The land of goat sphincter rings - ie dips, breads, pizzas, etc Taste: 9/10 Service: 7/10 Value: 6/10 Parking: 4/10 - Kinda small, for some reason they have kinda thin parking bays, its strange. Ohhhh i love this place, if you like The land of goat sphincter rings food this is the place to do. I'm actually drooling a little bit as i write this. Make the best Humas dip ever! Kinda expensive but if your addicted to it like i am, the taste outways the cost.
  18. Hahahaha, Astra's are the new civic/prelude/etc. No more Vtec yo.
  19. Doesnt it just mean that your cat converter is shagged?
  20. How much boost do you plan to run?
  21. Ahh yes i had been told it was around 170. Thanks for your help folks!!
  22. Hey Guys, I've been searching for the answer to this for a while and i havent been able to find anything. Does anyone know the original cylinder compression when an R33 RB25DET engine is first built. I want to compare my engines current cylinder compression to what it came with from factory. I guess it could be in an engine manual or something which i dont have access to.... or possibly locked in SK's brain waiting to be revealed? Thanks! Justin
  23. Exactly my point, how the hell are they gonna know if you've done the internals of your engine? Make you go for a dyno run and get back to them with the results. I think not. I'd say a lot of cops really wont give a shit about the new rules as long as you dont go too nuts with mods.
  24. I said a stock version of a car. Keyword here is stock. It has the same engine that came from factory - i never said anything about doing an engine swap, and neither did the guy asking questions in this thread.
