  1. ^ didnt R33's come factory without a sealed battery? Shouldnt that mean they cant fail you on it? Or is the battery supposed to be sealed during compliance?
  2. Are you telling me you wouldnt want cheaper parts because the sponsors get so much business out of us that they feel the need to give us good deals. What is "commercial" on a message forum. If you dont like what the sponsors are offering, just dont visit their forums. Simple. You can get away from sponsors online, its not like TV where you have to sit through the ads.
  3. Do you know how easy it would be to get sponsors on to SAU. How many members do we have, how active are our buying and selling forums... We have MORE members and MORE posts then NS.com and MORE mature members too. I've run a very succesful E-business (which i have recently shut down) and i'm currently making some healthy money online from a "not for profit" music fan site. Thats right, money can be made from a "not for profit" project, which SAU is all about. It would not be hard to gather sponsors in a similar fashion to NS.com - what performance part business would not want to be a part of a VERY active message forum, dedicated to a common performance car group. Believe me when i say it can be done.
  4. ^ a mate of mine drove past and said the Skyline wasnt involved, he was just there helping out... from what he saw. They could be wrong however.
  5. I went through the same thing as you a few months back. I got it passed at a local servo, but less then a month later i got a nice letter in the mail from the RTA informing me i have been "randomly" chosen for a "quality assurance" test, and that i MUST take my car to dickson within 2 weeks or have my rego canceled, or cop a $2k fine. Random my ass. So good luck to you even if you do get a dodgy pass, just be looking out for the letter in the mail if your unlucky!
  6. Oh i went for a bit of a cruise then stole my usual Mobil car park when i got back
  7. That was me. I feel much easier knowing my cars in a well lit area where people are always around, as apposed to the dodgy civic carparks across the road.
  8. Try connecting the intercooler piping directly to the wastegate actuator. If your still getting more then around 8PSI, there may be a problem with the actuator. I guess just use trial and error to find it...
  9. Fuel consumption threads have been done to death, if you searched you would have found them. This is the only thread where we've taken incorrect pump readings into account... so really, it is very relevant. If you think you have put 50 litres of fuel in the tank when you have only put 48 in, your calculations will be off when working out your fuel consumption. Something to think about yes?
  10. What you dont know cant hurt you right? For all i know, my local pump could be working in my favor... I'll never know, so i dont see it as a big issue.
  11. Can someone please buy me a 22b.... I'll be your best friend Best WRX ever!
  12. SO bargain him down... its not hard. I got mine for $240 delivered...
  13. The Two door rexes are, i think, the '00 or '99 WRX STI's. They're mad, i want one!!
  14. Wow that was a stupid move Microsoft!
  15. Why not just leave both of them there?
  16. Theres one for sale in the For sale section. Go buy it. I bought one the other day, havent fitted or tuned it yet. Looking forward to it tho!
  17. ^ yeah thats fair enough, they're just trying to get people to watch it. Unless Choice Magazine does tests then ill ignore the media versions of it... but really what does it matter, we dont miss the .5 of a litre if we dont know we're not getting it. If that makes sense.
  18. Get the Mongoose M80. I've got one, its awesome! Dont skimp when it comes to the alarm system. Your gonna wish you spent a few hundred more if the car gets stolen.
  19. Automatic gearboxes are the devil.
  20. Let the hot chick take it to the pits for you... they'll let so much shit slide. A mate of mine did that with his sister. His sister knows a shit load about cars but acted dumb, they let so much shit slide for her. The story was "I dont know much about cars or anything.. my brother gave me his car before he went overseas. I just want to drive it to school and back home because it uses too much petrol." You wont do it? :-p
  21. ^ A current affair did a test on it the other night, and sure enough, almost every servo they tested ripped them off. But hey thats not gonna change any time soon, and we've been living with it so far without even knowing it, so life will go on.
  22. I've only got one, the one that is located closest to the front. Same with my mates 93 GTST.
  23. On the subject of UC, i spotted a dark grey R32 GTST the other day while doing like 40 laps of the carpark trying to find a space, 10 minutes after my lecture began... whoops.
  24. My mate left his EBC in the car and engine bay and they didnt notice....
  25. Prepair yourself for the event.... Remember to take the lube and be ready to bend over when they say so. Nah really from my encounters with them they dont really have a clue whats factory and whats not on imports, so you shouldnt have too much trouble.
