I read something today about fuel economy. They recon moving to a higher gear as early as possible, and 5th in 60 should be ok. But then its all about gear ratios i guess, so it changes on a vehicle to vehicle basis. I guess.

I know of a guy who just bought a black R33... it wouldnt suprise me if it was him.

I get about 400km's for 50 litres. I worked it out and its only about a litre and a bit/100km's worse then my mums corrola.

I had the timing belt done the other day simply because i dont know the history of my car, and i dont trust the odometer. Turns out the belt wasnt that badly worn, she had lots of life left in here... but boy did i sleep better last night. Just do everything while your at it, saves the shit fight of having to come back in 2000km's to do the waterpump if you dont do it now and it farks out on you.

Ive got coilovers in the R33 GTST. 1) Apexi N1 Damper series or something 2) Couldnt tell ya as they came in the car, but they're friggin stiff, teeth shattering. 3) Nope 4) I wouldnt say its an uncomfortable ride because here in canberra the roads are friggin awesome, so its smooth. 5) Awesome! 6) Who knows? I think the owner in Japan installed them (for a pretty penny, apparently they are expensive.... anyone have an idea how much they would be? i'm interested to learn). Sorry i couldnt be much help, they came in the car so im pretty clueless about the details.

haha well theres a whole 10RON difference between the fuel it tasted before it got on the boat and after it landed...

Its the octane in the fuel. Our cars are tuned for high octane fuels. Regular fuel in japan has a higher octane then the premium fuel we have in australia. You use shit fuel, you get engine knock, which is not good. Do a search for Ping, Knock, Detonation, Pre-Ignition, rich and retard - you'll start to understand why you need to use premium fuel.
