  1. Nope, although i would happily have one from them Cheers
  2. Come to a DECA when im there Its getting a new exhaust and more boost over the next few weeks Do you, or anyone else know exactly what the Mines R34 has for driveline ratios?
  3. Its the bastard redhaired demon child of a bentley and a rolls. Kitt it.

    E85 For R35

Trent, which injectors will it have?
  6. So has anyone actually got a price on a new dash from nissan?
  7. Sorry, BCNR33, just box
  8. There's someone on this board, who i doubt will see this thread, but has recently taken out a 6 speed box and put the stock 5 speed back in. The car was pretty responsive (given its huge single turbo) and now is just all lag.
  9. In stainless they're pretty cheap, any decent machinist could get one for you. You could always go to Nissan and get one - being sodium filled the price may be pretty bad though but there's a chance they are reasonable on pricing.....a small chance
  10. Also, whats your gearbox? Mines still perfect with all the abuse its taken, but im realistic enough to know its not going to last
  11. When are you doing that? That 20awkw, if that is the exact power gained, will cost you around $1500 if you're talking a custom 4" Which is a pretty expensive gain Im trying for another 70/90kw but on more boost and tuning. I don't see how another 6 or 8 psi cant net another 50kw at least with a much higher flowing exhaust

950cc's for E85? That doesnt sound right, maybe its an R35 specific thing, but my 1000's maxed out as i said around 400rwkw which is close enough to what you guys have standard What duty cycle are those 950's running at?

Also, i had an idea to get a few of these brackets and get them mounted in the car where the backseat usually goes; I figured, that gives a super long range, and while it looks a bit crappy in a nice GTR, once im at the track, just take them out along with all the other crap inside the car then leave the jerry's in the garage/pits. The downside is that then the brackets are in there for good. I personally dont care about that as they'd weight so little, but still havnt taken the plunge yet
  14. Ive been in your car, before you owned it. What a machine that thing is! OP: As said, its up to you to find the amount of lag you're happy to put up with in the conditions you drive it in. Mine is between 3500/4000 and 8500rpm for HKS GTRS's although a 3L bottom end, that suits me, may not suit others. It would be a good idea to look through the dyno result threads in this section aswel, some decent info in there (aswel as a lot of crap results)

    E85 For R35

I cant speak for R35's but i've done this to my R32. Sourcing fuel isnt that big of a deal, go and get a big drum of it for your first fill (this can be delivered full, or ive got an empty one here you can have for free, just come take it), then a heap of jerry cans. Whenever the drum is getting a bit low just take a quick trip to Rozelle (open 24/7) and fill them all up, then come back home and use a fuel jiggler to move the fuel to the drum then seal the drum up, your hands wont even get dirty. Or you could leave the fuel in jerry cans until its needed but ive done this and the jerry cans expanded big time (i left them in the car overnight and it was lunchtime the next day in the sun when i remembered). Even in my commodore (which is smaller than your holden) its easy to fit 6 or 7 jerry cans without using the boot, i prefer them jammed in tight incase there's a sharp corner etc. Using the boot, well, then you'd be able to bring back more than enough. Ive seen one guy at the servo with a red holden SS ute, he had a 44gal drum installed somehow (probably just a braket and some welding) into the tray, he was standing in the tray just filling up the drum - it took ages but i dont think he cares. Your place is very close to the way i go to rozelle (on the eastern distributor, always get dinner in the city in the same trip), so im happy to help out if you like?! From the tuner's comments, there's just SO much more to get out of this fuel, i had an exhaust restriction so we stopped, but other than that there was no pinging and with every dyno run it was making more and more power/torque. I used Injector Dynamics 2000cc injectors, and 2 bosch 044's mounted in a surge tank. I had rochester 1000's in there on pump 98 which maxed out at around 400rwkw on the very first dyno run. The 2000's actually have better idle, better low rpm control and of course more flow. Interestingly, the fuel consumption isnt as bad as the 1000's and its making more power now. Goes to show how good the ID's really are. The car will be back there as soon as the new exhaust is made.
  16. Funny timing here. Im having exactly that made up for my GTR, a Mines style front pipe in 2 x 3" leading to a 4" merge, its custom to accommodate the extra height. Is yours the same height as an RB30 block? If so, it would work out perfectly for you as mines being used as a template. I can see about getting another one made up and ship it to you if you like.
  17. Marko are you 100% sure the xforce front pipes are a true 3" into a true 3.5"?
  18. That's a decent exhaust already, guys make huge power with that exhaust. I don't know price yet so I can't say
  19. It's a custom billet full counterweight crank, 87mm bore. The kits will be commercially available once I successfully test mine to the 400kw mark
  20. I'm not an engine builder, but my stock stroke rb30 is fine. The new one is 1.546, which to put into perspective, hks 2.8 (we all know how revvy they are) is 1.5, tomei 2.8 is 1.6. Most builders will tell you anything from 1.5 to 1.65 ideal for rb motors
  21. What middle ground are you looking for? As ash said, one option is about 330kw, the next finishes around 400kw, the next goes up around 450kw. It's not like garrett will make bolt on turbos that suit 330kw, then a new set for 350kw, then a new set for 370kw, then a new set for 390kw, then a new set for 410kw etc it may be worth going to QR when you know skylines will be there and just asking people in the pits
  22. Feel free to put up a thread of your Supra
  23. Funny someone mentions this kit. My next motor which is being built now, is bigger than that spool kit, better rod stroke ratio, and will rev without issue to 9000rpm plus. Yes, still inside an RB block. For an NA application is would be an animal, but turbos are too much fun Edit: If this is a car being built for twisty roads with pretty much no long straights, even 250hp at the wheels could be a real blast to drive with such instant throttle response
  24. Ok, firstly you say its for a BNR32, but your profile thing says BNR32 GTS. Do you mean a GTS, or a GTR? If you mean GTS, that is not a BNR32, the "BN" code is for GTR only, please keep that in mind when we're all trying to help as it could mean different answers/parts in your case Secondly, why do you want it to rev so high? Mine (RB2630DETT) on its old tune, had the limiter at 9500rpm and i revved it that high. Now its a tad lower as the wear on the rotating assembly isnt worth being able to rev it that 1000rpm more. Especially when it makes so much more low end grunt than the 26 it replaced. What sort of power goal are you trying to reach? Are you on p plates? If you are, and you plan to turbo the car in the future, drive it as is until you get to that point and only spend money on fuel, oils and filters. Save every dollar for the build that you'll keep for a long time. If you are doing this to maximise the speed out of the car you're allowed to have under the p plate laws, dont forget to get rid of any weight thats not needed in the car (big silly stereo etc) At 10,000rpm there's a LOT going on in any motor, its not just a case of choosing a number out of the air that sounds cool and going with that
  25. The understeer will suck, but the oversteer is oh so sweeeeet
