  3. My guess is all thrashed and completely ruined
  4. Of course i have no idea what he's doing. I didnt even go to compak
  5. Good good, now the built motor Nah kidding, yours is perfect exactly as it is Probably will be if i get the ECU back from being fixed, ill stay at my mates who lives about 30seconds from where that pic was taken, and just meet up once everyone gets there, then cruise home afterwards. Ill call him and see if he'll be there the night before. If not, ill meet up in Sydney, it will be a last minute thing though cause the ECU is out of my hands You?

    Superlap Oran Park.

Yeah just show up and have a look Turns 11 and 12 are great to watch from. Ill be at turn 12 all day
  7. lol put some R33 GTR rims on, we'll have twins Now all you need is a built RB30 bottom end
  8. Ok, as its your first skyline ill be very blunt; -Changing oil pumps in a GTST is a waste of time with that power level, or if its working fine -You will break the oil pump if you bounce off the redline time and time again -Always warm up before using more than 30% throttle on cold start -Always cool down (fit a turbo timer if you're a leadfoot) -Before adding power, sort out suspension and a short shifter for the gearbox -Once you've got it sorted suspension wise look for more power Powerwise; -FMIC (forum sponsors) -EBC (forum sponsors) -HKS GTRS kit (forum sponsors) -ECU, ideally one that uses MAP vs TPS for mapping (forum sponsors) -Quality exhaust including highflow cat, good dump pipe (forum sponsors) EDIT: If you need any further clarification, call a few workshops and get quotes for "just a new oil pump fitted"
  9. Yeah spotted this one. Ill be there
  10. Considering buying a new ecu soon by any chance? If so, get one that doesnt require AFM's
  11. You're kidding! Thats a shocker! What cams were they? Postal insurance?
  12. Talking about what sort of skyline exactly?
  13. "LotusGTR" is after something like this, send him a PM
  14. Cant you request a printout from the datalog?
  15. Agreed on neons, but he cant do a turbo back exhaust if it has no turbo Personally id fit a good quality short shifter, then good suspension, and not touch anything else at all.
  16. Great plates! Im a big fan of those type of plates. Much nicer than "RUNME", "LETSGO", "4DPIGS" or "5LUTB8" ones which are utter crap IMO. Here's mine: GTR; Supra; (excuse the crappy pic) Lucky you're in Qld and only have to pay once for plates
  17. I agree, but its an indication of price Ive used Canberra Nissan for GTR parts in the past, the old guy that works there is pretty good. Give him a call and ask for a price Gearset supplied, fitted, in your box
  18. Not enough fuel stations on the way to keep the tow car full of petrol?
  19. Awesome news!!!
  20. Yeah please keep us posted! I just had a look around for a new stock box, as the 3k i mentioned might be wrong since the exchange rate changed. Turns out its a good thing i did; Stock pull type box (pull, push, prices should be the same): $3499 http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=278&page=1 OSGiken gearset: $4799 http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=278&page=1 PAR is without doubt the best option now for a car like mine
  21. You mention its not expensive, what prices are we talking? Also, what does he charge to modify the head to include ports on the exhaust side?
  22. Try redline shockproof and see if that fixes it - its a strange blue fluid so thats where the name smurfs blood comes from. You'll see when you see the container If it really is the synchro's that are gone, the boxes will have to come out and be stripped etc then worn synchro's replaced. While its all out and open, its a good time to upgrade to a new gearset if more power is on the cards at a later date (or some hard driving, fast shifting etc). A new box is about 3k or so. From memory getting synchro's replaced is around the $1500 mark depending on whats broken etc (labour to pull the box out, strip, inspect, replace worn parts, assemble, refit to car) but may be more. I know someone in Sydney paid about 2k for that same service but the parts replaced inside make a difference to price obviously. FYI mines in great condition, doesnt crunch at all, although i am careful on changes, its got a short shifter that i know is also shortning the gearbox life. When (not if) it's destroyed, im going the PAR straight cut 5 speed, comes with everything new that matters, and will cost about 4500. Of course thats for big power, so for anything up to 400kw atw as long as you dont launch it all the time and slam gear to gear, just get a 2nd hand box that you can test first and sell the old one for cheap knowing the buyer will have to fork out a fair amount of coin t get it going again
