  1. precisely well developed product with the best support team behind it...that sold it for me.
  2. From the horses mouth...Ray Hall...hope this puts an end to the speculation that the Vi-PEC is a rebadged Link...its actually the other way. The Vipec was developed to my specification and uses a lot of the features associated with the Autronic ECU. I wanted a ECU that was better then the Autronic in areas that had caused me and my dealers a lot of frustration when tuning. The Vipec works just as I requested, and as can be seen from this forum and other feedback the product is very good. If I had stayed with Autronic, and had not influenced the design of the Vipec, the Link product would not be close to the way it is now, which is a re-badged Vipec. The Vipec comes with mine and the Vipec dealers support. If you want that support, then you have to pay for it. Ray.
  3. voted...filed for divorce...and booked flight to WA...lol best of luck Jess...in both the comp and staying off the filthy fags!
  4. pulling balancer off to install cam gears is not required.
  5. around $700 for the quality of the tune its a $300 saving on what you would pay in Sydney or Melbourne. some tightasses think thats expensive and go and get a cheap tune...but then bitch and moan when there engine pops.
  6. Seperate companies manufacture the cases as well as the chipsets...they supply their products to both Vi-pec and Link...this cuts down on design and manufacturing costs for both Link and Vi-pec. A sensible arrangement really as it makes the end product cheaper for the consumer.
  7. dumb vl driver...? do you know of a smart one...? lol hope the cops nail him.
  8. Nah its a RB20 with RB26 rods and crank (custom pistons). L31 will be an easier build as its been done countless times before and stays true to the era. L31 with 40mm webbers will sound awesome.
  9. precisely with RB's under boost port shape is the key...not port size.
  10. i suppose i could make it easy on myself and use a L28 and some 40mm tripple webbers...but fuel injection once set up correctly would run better and be less maintenance.
  11. unless we have interest there wont be much to watch.
  12. Right...new project. Im considering building an RB24DE for a mint KHGC110 ive aquired. Im keeping faithful with the vintage of the car in the respect of N/A multi throttle power but i feel a modern twin cam engine is the way to go instead of building a tripple carby L24 or L28 engine. What do i need? and what advice can be offered? thanks
  13. please pm
  14. im considering building an RB24DE multi throttle engine for a KHGC110 im considering purchasing. Will be following the progress here...great thread.
  15. Found a mint white 1 owner KHGC110 2 door today with 74000 originals on the clock...too mint to chop-up into a Ken-Merri mock-up. Factory sunroof, original books, full service records (the guy has nearly 30 years of records of when and where he bought petrol, the odometer, the price and how many litres!). It has GT2000 black interior, original radio and factory fitted A/C. Still has the old school number plates on it (the old faded orange and black type). The fella said i could have it for $5000 (went back and saw him this arvo Steve-o and knocked $1000 off his original $6000 asking price) All ive gotta do is convince Stace i need it!
  16. will run a tuning day in early Dec. and will fly Mark Jacobsen (Godzilla Motorsport...worlds 3rd fastest GTR) down to do the tuning. Have a brand new Mainline 4wd dyno to use just need a few guys interested to make it financially viable. Costs to have Mark and the dyno for the day to be shared between participants. anyone interested?
  17. as for the chicks...physical features are fine...as for the looks...Katie's got nothing to worry about, she has them covered.
  18. x2...I took Stace here on our honeymoon the day we flew overseas...great last meal if the bird happend to fall out of the sky!
  19. x2 and for bolts id recommend ARP L-19 items...the best! i use JUN and will be making in excess of 1000hp...Mark uses Carillo and he makes well in excess of 1000hp...and id also use Argo as they are designed and made not far from where i live (i like to support the local product)
  20. It didn't do a head gasket and pressurise the coolant system? Hope it was only a loose/faulty clamp.
  21. power is irrelavant....its the ability to chirp 2nd that really counts.
  22. the bottle contains the blood of a thousand smurf's
