  1. don't you have a laptop?...much easier to tune with a laptop manufacturers have steered clear of producing a H/C as this is not a boyracer ecu...its a high end product...so no hand controller (maybe we can see if adapter for Apexi H/C can be done in the future...difficult to do...but not impossible...as this would be a nice feature to please all the Apexi lovers out there) digital dash is being produced for this unit also...displaying most importantly...KNOCK or lack of it
  2. preliminary testing has shown map based tune to be just as good as AFM based in all facets...light throttle, idle, cruise etc.. but due to the dual functionality of the unit, you can run it either way
  3. will ask the question for you...ok will post up full spec's and features as soon as the info comes through my email inbox
  4. just spoke to the manufacturer....this ecu will support BOTH afm's and map based tuning. Runs a 32bit processor which is twice as fast as Autronic SM4. will be due for release at the end of the month
  5. Dave the E11v2 is a great product. but I expect from all ive been told this will out perform it.
  6. You got it. It will run ALL factory controls....yes everything
  7. will get a date for you tomm. we are going to run one of these in our 9 sec drag car to see how they handle a high power race application. The flat shift function will be interesting to use as well as the two-step launch limiter.
  8. boost control function is able to be done separately to the ecu. software supplied and updates available on line through internet/email
  9. as you may or may not appreciate...this is not my product. As a potential distributor i intend not to jepardise my relationship with the manufacturer by quoting prices or other information without their consent. All i can say at the moment is it will be dearer than a new Power FC and cheaper than a MoTeC. Im just providing a little 'heads up' pre-release so you have a bit of background on it.
  10. ill have a further discussion with the manufacturer tomm. and see if i can leak a bit more info pre-release but yes...im loving it any questions you would like me to ask please feel free to list them...OK
  11. Power FC Djetro cars dont run as well as AFM models...is that what your saying?? AFM reversion, stalling/overfuelling, etc...not a problem with AFM equipped cars?? To each their own i suppose... Boost control...yes
  12. 5bar map sensor built in...YES no AFM's i can see the price of Z32's dropping very soon as people try and get rid of them...
  13. its a standalone ecu...much like any Power fc no vdu but may interface with current display dashes currently on the market (ill find out and let you all know) full forum/net based technical info and full factory back-up and warranty very user friendly, any tuner who knows how to tune Haltech, MoTeC, Autronic and Apexi should have no problems with it will inform you who makes the product as soon as its ready for release made in Australia more info and full feature details will be available soon...including price.
  14. ill provide more info in the next few days, this ECU will rival the quality and features of MoTeC and Autronic.
  15. A new Nissan plug in ecu is soon to be released on the market. A direct plug in running off all factory sensors and controls. It will be laptop programmable with full data logging, launch control, anti-lag, flat shift etc. The ECU will be supplied with a base map tune to suit a STD car and will feature a tune suited to aust. fuels and conditions. Will also feature dual map facility to switch between a race fuel tune and pump fuel tune at the flick of a switch. Red R Racing is looking to be part of the distribution team in Australia. stay tuned for more info...
  16. if your crank is not worn you use... 6B2960H for big ends and 7M2428H for mains bearings with an X at the end will give 1 thou LESS clearance than these. Yes Dave got bearings mate.
  17. All respect to Ben...but tuning an 1200hp race engine and tuning a car with a little more than stock turbo's is not even the same sport. Mark also tunes quite a number of SE QLD's circuit going cars. The thread is related to Power FC tuning....not suspension/chassis tuning....id have to say Ben/Racepace is Australia's leader in that regard.
  18. ACL race series come in STD 1thou extra. If your crank is worn from STD your engine builder can linish the crank to suit these for correct clearance. If too worn or damaged for 1thou it will need to be ground 10thou and the 1st undersize bearings used. ACL part numbers for 1thou under are 6B2960HX for big ends (conrod bearings) 7M2428HX for mains easy!
  19. godzilla motorsport is the best in QLD...home of Australia's quickest GTR www.godzillamotorsport.com
  20. ive seen the fuel and ignition map in this car....its definately not fuel related. its white oil smoke 100%
  21. one of your valve stem seals could be causing you a bit of trouble....maybe not sealing correctly because it was damaged when they incorrectly assembled the head last time....or damaged when repairs were being made to the valve train. send it back and demand they fix it!
  22. not my engine and if restricted to 8000rpm a rebalanced stocker would be ok
  23. i may have yours sold
  24. little smear of CRC Maniseal is your friend holds them in place nicely i heat wrapped my Trust front pipes and passenger floor still gets unbearably hot.
