  2. Threw a virgin block and crank out about 12 months ago...no one wanted it
  3. nice work mate...dont do a 10 though...it takes all the fun out of it. Not if you want to keep racing it...Budget $6000+ to get the car tech'd (racesuits, cages, harnesses, $350+ a year for a race licence, belhousing shields, tailshaft loops, battery cutoffs, expensive helmet etc). if i had my time again id build an 11.00 GTR with full interior and a stock looking engine that i could drive to and from the track.
  4. rebuilding an engine rarely is the thing that makes power, (other than head mods etc) forged pistons and rods etc dont make any more power they allow the engine to be more durable at higher power levels. A set of forged pistons, new bearings and rings, N1 oil pump, crank collar and a reco'd head is all you would need chasing 400hp. Id use HKS GT-SS's or 2860-7's for good low down grunt...with these turbo's id put stock cams back in it too and dial them in correctly with your cam gears. if you want it built properly shoot me a PM or email

  12. not if i built it...hehe my last engine with 2530's saw 34psi and made 467kw at the tyres...on the dyno and ran low 10 sec passes on 28psi for 3 years until.....N1 oil pump shat itself launching at 9500rpm rev's will kill your engine before boost will (provided its properly tuned)

  14. I know, I know, I'm a tosser! and yes if i do make it to the track ill be relegated to reserve grade...as our team's no.1 car will be running 7's in 1st grade.
  15. no tune...no dog box...no diff and no NOS. i dont race for points i race for E.T's no 9 sec PB passes on current set-up...so fu(k it id rather come out and race it when its ready, than spending time away from the family and money running it 1/2 arsed.

  22. same here...had splitfires and plugs gapped down to 0.5 and was missfiring. Car would foul plugs getting from the pit to the startline at the track. Having to clear them during the burnout (sometimes affecting the quality of the burnout). Installed HKS igniter and plugs are back up to 0.8mm and never had a fouling or missfire issue since.
  23. just sold a second hand set of these for nearly the same price, so they are a bargain. not port matched though...a bit of work with a porting tool is all thats required for a perfect match.
