  1. i think you need to clarify where they are made then...why do they use SCAT branded rod bolts?? I was more than happy to think they were made by SCAT as they have been making quality rods in USA for over 45 years and have an excellent reputation. On your website you even use the same spiel as SCAT on your website "High tensile 4340 forged steel" "doweled cap for precision alignment" etc
  2. Spool rods are manufactured by SCAT in america. SCAT have quite a good reputation as a reasonable quality product and are good value for money. In my opinion they are on par with Eagle and other rods in that price range.
  3. Gav our balancer has done both grinding and drilling. Tiny little drill marks were on most of the counterweights as well as the large ones from the factory. Grinding is generally done when material near the big end journal needs removing and drilling is done when removal of material from the counterweight has to go.
  4. your building a car and don't have a rule book? Better to build the car around the class you intend to race in and refer to the book when you need something clarified. That way you can do it once and do it right. I know a couple of people who built cars and did not have a class to race them in....silly buggers!
  5. same as whats on my car now...seemed slightly softer than the other manifolds (HKS two piece) but dyno did not agree as almost the same total KW and response. Made the car 100% better to drive on the street with zero "chuffing" from the turbo's.
  6. Item: HKS RB26 manifolds Age: Brand New Condition: Brand New Price: $1400 To Fit: (What car) RB26 equipped car Location: Newcastle Contact: PM Comments: beautifully made and hand finished inside with porting tool at HKS factory. Truely a pleasure to have and to hold. no offers

  11. Of all the drag passes ive ever done (29 total), ive still done many more laps than that of Oran Park. I did have a life before straight line racing. We could have entered in Clubsprint as our car is more than eligible but we thought it would be better in opens...just like football really, no point running around in reserve grade when a 1st grade spot is available. Im sure we will have a competitive car and team. My sheepstation is not up for grabs so its all ok.
  12. The fastest drag GTR in Aust uses a simple external pump set-up with a wet sump. A lot cheaper than a full blown dry sump system too.
  13. mine has refused to speak to me again until the car is sold and/or i promise to never race again. whats that saying ?...."silence is golden"
