Link G4 Storm Vs Microtech Lt12s
Swiper the Fox replied to afunk's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Steve-o's point was valid...has your ability to read and comprehend also disappeared? I even acknowledged it...as it was about the topic. The same with dcieve about the Autronic...i said it may have actually been that the ecu was faulty. I give credit where credit is due and listen to all points of view...but when its baseless ridicule of a product that you wouldn't know one end of the other from Ash your outta line. Youv'e come in here only to have a shot at me...sorry mate but ive got to do this....SWAT! -

What the fu(k does all that babble have to do with the topic...remember its Storm vs Microguess...you mods are good at pushing your own cart also...Ash how many times do you come in threads as a disiple of Ben's pushing his cart. Without him you'd just be a dumbass with a crappy road car. Im one of the only ones on here using a Link G4 Storm...and being a 1000hp GTR that also now makes a nice road car i think im more than qualified to give some input and assistance to the fella. Ive also installed one of these ecu into one of the fastest Sport Compact cars on the planet (its the current world record holder) the thing makes over 1800hp runs 18 1600cc injectors and purrs like a kitten. Again its gets a little tiresome hearing people talk about things they have no knowledge of or experience in. go away blowfly. -

Link G4 Storm then...simple. Dont like the thread discussion then stay out of the thread...easy. Ash that car is more than a simple silver box...is it not ? Poor example...but nice shovel work. -

SS8...it sucks spending money many times over as you slowly build up your car to each level...ive done it that way...sounds like you have done this too. Spending a bit extra the 1st time will in the end save you money. Vi-PEC was released 3 months before Link...however they are a very similar product...we have tested a few things with each brand and have confirmed they are not identical. None of the Vi-PEC upgrades/fixes and additional software (V-logger for example) are available if you have a Link ecu. They are both an excellent top-end ecu at a great price. -

unnessasry post that added nothing to the thread. Good post from Steve with a point from a fella with experience in one of the products the original poster enquired about. But then spoiled it with dribble about something you dont have any experience or a clue with. Sad -

you wont be disappointed. Ash as good as Ben is...Jim Souvas is just as good a tuner and has twice as much tuning experience as him. There are some set-ups that cannot be perfected with a basic ECU. -
open again...6 weeks...controllers sourced from Ruzic Engineering. $450 plus freight...game on!

A big torque GTR is nuts on the street...id roll on the throttle and it would break traction at 6000rpm...that was with a little more than 1/2 throttle. I was unusually quiet after my first real drive around my test track here in Newcastle. Ill admit it did scare me...very used to it now though and want more.

ohh...c'mon...they will be the 1st to admit they were not off the shelf jobbies. Their MPH should tell you that. and have a featherweight car, better gearbox, better driver etc....and they use 4th gear...lol your post was smart and cheeky though...full marks for that. the research rev210 did was a better example though...sorry. -
Awesome work Jess...top stuff.

mine is still around too although when it was at Autosalon early it was Stacey's car. its making over 1000hp now but will probably end up either a full blown 3/4 chassis drag car or end up like Leewah's...back to being sensible.

i run massive cams, big twin lowmounts (now big single), 100mm throttle body, big single entry plenum etc...whats your set up?...i had this same problem using even the much fabled Power FC...my tuners are the best in the business in this country and have done many Autronics. To get my car to run right i needed an ECU with superb engine control (crank trigger, idle control etc)...i have this now. or i might have just been unlucky with the ecu i was supplied as the new owner i sold it to had to send it back to Autronic to get fixed. -
tim you can buy a kit from Peter at Bond and weld it yourself...call him and tell him what you require. thats what i did and the fit was awesome...i think Merli did the same.

A Few Q's About Rb26dett Engine Idle Problem,
Swiper the Fox replied to 85URK's topic in General Maintenance
TPS is located on the end of throttle linkage bar. Should be 0.4v at idle and 5V at full throttle...check with mulitmeter. AAC valve is located under the plenum Drain the fluid by removing the hydraulic line on the rear of the gearbox...replace the line...fill the reservoir back up...undo the white connector under the drivers kick panel...crack the bleed nipple on rear of box...turn ignition on...repeat. Yes transmax Z is what i use. stockers are yellow
