Ohh c'mon JP...having a go at someone who does some actual testing and working out whats happening instead of taking things as a given. You yourself do the same and share your findings on here and even are developing your own products to combat the things you have found is to be applauded. Why be so negative about me doing something you do yourself...it doesn't make sense.
The forum is such a good one because it helps people who don't have the money or resources to do it themselves and gain from guys like us who do the hard yards.
Don't get me wrong...im not saying that the rear head set-up is a bad thing to do...its just been a little mis-represented and is not a true indication of what is actually occuring inside that pipe.
4K for the lot...or swap for my S13 Silvia Fully built Red R Racing forged engine, factory 5 speed...all power options, sunroof, blue sparkle paint, 17inch allows, lowered kings springs etc
Correct...Ben doesnt use those rear of the head fittings...either do CRD, Godzilla, Red R Racing etc.
Do we all have it wrong?
Building an engine with correct tolerances that doesn't breathe with enlarged returns is the go. Don't worry about high oil pressure...id rather it be high than low as it will keep a good film of circulating oil on the bearings. No chance of picking one up with the crankshaft (spinning a bearing).
Oil pressure is your friend.
The car Steve is refering to...i actually have a picture of the prototype in action...complete with sponsorship!
its now lifting pallets in a warehouse in Chiba.
The above post is spot on (nice one SK)
too many times a mismatch of components will leave a modifier scratching their heads to why it doesn't perform. The above 'rule of thumb' is best worked out before the hand goes in the pocket grabbing cash for components.
Doesnt really matter...seat of the pants dyno says its great...hey Kat.
how much boost again...didn't realise they were -7's...id say about 20-22 then.
Mark is dead against me going auto...but because they have got rid of Sport Compact i have to race Super Sedan...just not viable in a manual car. Ill race at Jambo and see how the other auto cars pan out. Id say an auto may be more of a headache than most think. A straight cut dogbox feels tough and sounds tough...even if it is uncompetitive.
you just assumed NPC sponsored me and thats why i run their clutch.
If you dont like to be put in your place don't be a smartass...simple.
You made a statement which was rather provoking...pretty much said im a liar. How did you expect me to respond?
Its like the little kid who thinks its funny to pull the dogs tail...but when the dog turns and bites goes screaming off to mummy.
Dont be a cheeky little bastard and you wont get bitten Shane. OK
don't be sorry...you are dead (pardon the pun) right. These cars were built to circuit race and to get them to go really quick down the quarter mile takes a sh1t load of money. 4WD drag cars are very hard to set-up and race properly...you could go just as quick for half the money in something else.
agree...its pretty boring...even with a 1000hp GTR to race i still find boring at times. Private track hires we used to go to were lots of fun though...match racing your friends all day was pretty cool. But they changed the rules and now cars a quick as ours are not permitted to race at them.
