  1. I'm in the market for a 33 or a 34, but keep getting distracted by other things that seem to represent better value. I should add this is just for a weekend car and the rare track day as I already have a dedicated track hack. Example. for 35-40k you can get a nice Evo X which by all accounts is just as capable if not more so than a 34 around a track and for less maintenance. Another example, for 55-60k (decent 34 money) you can get a nice M3/C63. Who else has been in this position and gone for something else or had the GT-R then ditched it for something better/different?
  2. Owner is taking offers now. I've also gone over the car and taken a number of photos to highlight things that need attention as I can appreciate these cars are very hit and miss. http://imgur.com/a/tsFaA/all
  3. FB mainly, I can put you in touch with him if you like.
  4. Don't worry about either of those. Silver one is sold, white one is off the market now.
  5. Link to N1? Honestly my standards are not that high. Just not rock bottom.
  6. Who's in Sydney and can go inspect a car for me... http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/459896-r33-gtr-1996-v-spec-built-engine/
  7. 32s are a bit old to me. MNP is a whore bag to keep clean and it shows every imperfection. I'm not fully ruling 34s out, will keep my eye out, but given a few things have changed on my end recently, I may pair back what I spend on a weekend/toy car and pocket that extra 20-30k I save for some other things. I really should get my Silvia back to the track aswell...
  8. I think I'm going to head in a different direction. After reviewing more than my fair share of 34s, seeing lots of detailed pics etc, to be honest I simply cannot justify the asking price for what they are and how they present within my budget, as much as I love them. A truely mint one in my price range will be very mildly modified and should probably be left that way. Where as a mint and modified one is well outside my budget. A few things have changed on my end also so I'll be shifting focus to finding a nice 33, preferably series 3, but anything with series 3 front end will be fine also (an I'll do that myself if I have to). Keep me in mind if you come across any nice S3s - Pretty much Silver only as I've done the Midnight Purple thing - my god... never again.
  9. Any chance the new owner wants to sell it yet?
  10. I'm in the same boat (sorry to thread hijack) and I'm in Vic so if anyone has one over this way please let me know. Have found this: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/459263-series-3-r33-gtr-for-sale-melbourne/ And this so far: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/459795-vic-fs-1997-series-3-r33-gt-r-30k-firm/ Good luck on your hunt. Daz also has a pretty nice one
  11. Cheers. Ever had vin check done to check k's at export? Ever had a compression test done?
  12. A few questions. - Receipts for built motor? - 96 but with series 1 steering wheel? - Any proof of K's given cluster swap? - Interior photo missing most obvious location for driver seat bolster wear? - Tuned by who? Cheers
  13. Ahh, yeah there's nothing on the market at the moment. Got my feelers out.
  14. I've seen you in various GTR threads.
  15. Also, I'm not after a show car at all, just something not quite that rough interior wise.
  16. Ultimately it's the rust that's the biggest issue. Too many stories of and comments from people with personal experience trying to treat it.
