Your right the Rom is a good upgrade for some people as i did lose power installing the standard one back in for a check, its just a matter of getting another standard unit now...

When i ran 20 degrees i got 30hp more midrange wow! @12psi Back to 15deg and i can run more boost but only 8hp more top end but lose driveability mid range! Adam My turbo specs do match my graph thats ok im happy with that...im not particularly interested in a vertical dyno chart like um.. ps 4500rpm Rob i guess u have to like a dyno and stick with it so u can monitor inprovements..It is all in all only a tool for development But however what im saying is that i got a minimal increase by doing certain things and went back to the same dyno! Adam32 has one of those I dont really care what it says on the dyno at the end of the day, but it is a basis on which u can better and correct things that have happened. Im not going to tune my car on the road. Ive done that before with other cars.. Thanks for the insight tho Vspec gtst?

But of course a bigger turbo isnt the only thing ive done in fact iv hardly changed turbo characteristics since my last run with 270hp on same dyno @13psi I expected the tuning to reap more! perhaps it was because it was a friday and they were in a hurry to get out of there and crack a beer

Well thats what happens when u expect too much. You do the hard work, do it yourself, properly...and u get a shitty Dyno readout, I know it means nothing but yknow.... On Formaz dyno i peaked 296hp @ 15psi 3pm this arvo so pretty warm still, Ignition only 15 degrees due to pinging The car is good for about 18psi at the moment with that turbo but the heart was going too much and in my eyes all i could see was blue smoke come out the exhaust but was only water vapour! So i limited pressure to 15 and tuned to 11.6A/F Im not sure if my graph looks tuned properly but it cost me $240 grrr I cant tell much difference from when the SAFC was tuned to before it was tuned, I have an aftermarket TOP SECRET Computer which seems to advance top end timing which limits me to sucky 15deg base timing which robs me of power! I basically got 26hp from 2.5psi increase an increase in size of compresser housing to T04 and SAFC tune Am i expecting too much to say that i should of gotten more?

Bullshit only power relays are pure silver while 90% are gold most edge connectors are gold we use gold components at work for alot of electrical apps most of them are unseen. silver is only used to stop arcing I agree that Gold isnt the most thermal but whoopdy do this thead aint about metals as such anyway mr i know everything about cold metals cheers

That flywheel looks wicked..... I was going to save up for one so i could replace both clutch and flywheel and 1 hit but as soon as i put my front mount in the clutch blew the same day.........hehe needless to say i still have standard cast fwheel :bahaha:

Hehe ok last msg off topic :lol: Being an Electronics tech i can tell ya that Gold is the best conductor all round, doesnt tarnish either, Conectors and audio gear is usually thin plated with 24k gold and this provides the conductivity and also protects the copper item underneath Silver then copper maybe there are a few diff metals in between but at my work to get a good busbar we take the copper bar and plate it in silver which rates the item higher in conductivity and heat transfer Thats why these plug tips are made from these materials such as IR Platinum Cop and so on

Heres a couple of things that came to mind........ Your still running way too rich where your accelerating has dulled. If your running a standard cooler your intake temps will be too high for the timing advance! They may not have regapped the plugs to .8mm which will cause pinging at higher boost levels and hotter intake temps Even with slightly retarded timing look at your af differences you should of still picked up power at 4000rpm I think its way retarded
