  1. selling my 3076... Roll's should buy it cause its epic for a NEO. $900 for a nearly brand new turbo.. bargain! link here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/367967-cheap-gt3076r-its-also-nearly-brand-spanking-new-my-loss-your-gain/page__gopid__5876273#entry5876273
  2. buy the siemens deka's in 3/4 length and they drop right in. can get them in either 60lb or 80 lb versions.
  3. easiest way is to cut a slot in it with an air saw or hacksaw blade and then hit it once and it falls out
  4. where do you think they are made....
  5. boost = torque yes? if your making 21 psi @ 3000 rpm then your peak torque is pretty low.. and therefore you'd be rapidly accelerating from that point onwards.
  6. kinda reminds me of my younger years... a mate had a 4age sprinter whos clutch bolts rattled loose til there were only 3 left... and he left them there.. the rational line of thought being that the 4age had no torque to do anything anyway lol
  7. well it requires engine load to spool the turbo. 4th gear is going to have far more load then 2nd
  8. why is it useless? the fact that it spools all the way to 21 psi at 3000 rom is a very good thing
  9. lol it FAR from easy... its a fairly time intensive and fiddly job.
  10. Selling my GT3076R, its a 56T 700382-12 turbo which is only a few months old. Comes with NO rear housing so put your own .6 or .8 and run either external or internal gate. FWIW i was running .63 ex gated and making over 300 rwkw with this turbo price is $900 FIRM... BYO rear housing. postage $20 anywhere in AUST. PM me if keen. IN SA
  11. and? theres plenty here in aust. Mercury motorsports 700 rwhp stock bottom end neo in VC commo for one thing. however unsure how hard it gets driven. then theres mine... pushing far more power then stock and gets driven hard at as many track days as possible.
  12. thats got nothing to do with the VCT, thats the CAS and ecu varying the timing. the VCT is on/off. and its internally the same as a 33 item.
  13. Download the r33 field service manual.
  14. this... the oil is then spread everywhere due to the turbo sucking it in and then into your engine.
  15. its a design fault if it doesnt seal the radiator cap properly isnt it. im not saying all of them are like that as you've got plenty people who run them with no issues but this particular one did have issues. I ended up throwing it out as scrap alloy... put a stock radiator in and all problems gone. also tested on another R32 and some problems were there with rad. it also held pressure in the system. after a week of not driving you'd pop the cap off to check coolant and there would be pressure trapped in there. this was same on other car tested also. this is not normal and shows that its not allowing the cap to open its drain back valve as coolant cools down
  16. dunno... looks fairly fake to me. as in the "walls" were put in during editing
  17. yeah pushing oil out the dipstick hole sounds to me like some cracked ringlands...
  18. neo's are fantastic engines... the only thing they dont have over an RB26 is the high RPM limit and ITB's. I bought some RB26 ITB's and plenumn set up for mine but the thing is the factory long runners is what gives it so much midrange torque. putting short runners on there will move that torque further up in the power band. So i'll be looking at adapting the 26 set up and then making a custom plenumn with longer runners.
  19. stock R32 Airbox mint condition with KN panel filter $100 ono
  20. was in the s14.. the cap that came with it was fine. but the height of the neck on the rad was different from an OEM rad.. i only picked this up recently as the problem and cause of all my overheating issues... this was after i pulled my head off and replaced HG and all that.. so was slightly annoying to find something so small and simple such as a design fault in the rad to be the problem.
  21. no its a R32 rad. it has issues because of the height of the neck is different from OEm and no rad cap in the world seals correctly with it.
  22. safety car was running for 2 hours straight... sure getting a work out! man some serious carnage. Did anyone see the qualifying t boning?
