  1. Yeah dyno settings are exactly the same as also. Street use shows it to be awesome. Comes on quick and fast!
  2. thats just it.. too many variations to be able to compare one to another.. the main thing is all cyns are the same, and comp testers fall into the same bucket as dynos.. just a tool.
  3. this is true... SR's struggle to make over 230 rwkw with stock cams. drop some cams in and its a whole different ball game.
  4. yeah its not bad for a 0.63 rear housing hey
  5. yeah still stock bottom end here guys.. dont wanna go running 25 psi just yet haha. also note run ended at 6500 rpm too
  6. yeah it probably needs a degree or two added in one part of the map to bring it back inline. this could be due to different airflow charactoristics of the two turbos. i have seen other peoples results.. but they often have changed other things in their set ups which couldn potentially cause issues. as i said mine is a back to back. use the info as you please.
  7. what do you want me to do? run less or more boost? i feel same boost level should give a truer comparison yes? Lithium: no tuning.. was just run up. Declan ran out of time on the dyno but the AFR's were the same as before so its still fine.
  8. well GTX is up and running... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/369550-gtx3076r-vrs-gt3076r-a-true-comparison/
  9. Hi all... i have conducted a TRUE comparison between the two turbos thanks to Sonic Performance and Garage 7. By true comparison i mean the only thing changed was the turbo. nothing else was touched. The result was suprising and disappointing both at the same time. We found that the GTX version DID spool quicker and hence started making torque and power earlier in the midrange. i now have FULL boost around the 3500 rpm mark which for a turbo like that is impressive. Its highly streetable! The downside is that for the same boost level peak power is changed by .1 of a kw! its pretty much lineball! the two turbos match each other on the graph pretty much spot on. runs were done with air temp probe and same correction mode and dyno that STatus uses for real world comparison. Heres the pics. Solid pink line is GTX, thin red line is GT.
  10. results of GT vrs GTX comparo are in! suprising..... will start a new thread.
  11. if it runs great then dont worry to much about it. as long as they are all even and witin 5 psi of each other
  12. yeah its low. think its my works comp tester i used that is a bit on the flogged side.
  13. you dont... 740's are plenty big enough for that power. im doing 360 ish rwkw on 800cc's with plenty head room. also on e85. the fuel pump however is pushing it. i'd fit an 044 in the tank.
  14. my healthy neo with pon cams reads 100 psi all round lol
  15. single car run only... may as well do it in a tunnel see what i did there
  16. in other news... tailembend motorsport park are in the talks atm to get the drag strip ANDRA approved. could be happeneing as early as by the end of the year.
  17. hahaah nice rough and dogy just the way i like it. now get your missus out to the track and let her have some fun
  18. dont mind me... just over it. i dont even bother with a modified road car any more. its all track for me and a daily that doesnt stand out from the crowd
  19. no i never said that posting stupid shit wouldnt make a differance. dont get me wrong i think what they did is silly and they shouldnt have filmed it. but at the same time the punishment does NOT fit the crime. open your eyes.. theres far bigger issues in the real world and in SA... crime rate is going up thro the roof. more home invasions then ever. more gun and knife violence and they are worried about 6 ppl doing 40kph over the limit (not even proven other then time lapse mind you) on a straight road late at night. this shit made the 1st segment of the 6o'clock news ffs. its being paraded and its bullshit. no one should be supporting that. not even SAU
  20. yyup.. i knw the feeling.. im a mechanic and i have the tools, skills and ability to do the thread removal but i would much rather pay a thread guy to do it while i get on with something else.. they do this shit for a living and it takes them next to no time where as i would waste an hour or three doing all of them if they are snapped below the head surface,
  21. dont you guys realise that no matter how you play this. which high road you take.. that the cops and not to mention the pollies and poweres to be have already mapped out how its going to play out. they are talking about putting in a recommendation to the magistrae that the cars be forfieted.. all because of some public f**king image. i dont care what opinion you all take on the guys that did the tunnel runs but this is just a f**king bullshit abuse of power/governmant. thats my rant for the night.
  22. lol.. that is all. .
  23. just pay the 150 for a thread guy pro to do it.. well worth it man
