Gtr On Dyno- Better In Rwd Or 4x4?
Simon-S14 replied to brembogtr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
leave it in 4wd... basically you only want to take the shaft out if you have no access to a 4wd dyno. -
i have done this. fuel pump isnt plugged in at all atm. still blows. dont really wanna cut and run a new wire,. would like to fix it

Little bit stuck on this one. for the record its a R32 skyline had a flat battery and i got a mate to put jumpers on the battery with a fully charged one and terminals got crossed up the wrong way.. a relay went nuts and popped 3 fuses and the ECU. put a good ecu in there and replaced all fused and went to start it and it blew another fuse straight away. Its the fuel pump fuse under the dash. some where in the fuel pump circuit it has a dead short. have unplugged the pump and it still blows. unplugging the relay stops the fuel blowing. with the ECu disconnected and all efi relays unplugged. it still does if i manually earth out the fuel pump relay it so i have eliminated the engine loom side of things. i'm a little stuck on it.. the fuel pump relay has two sets of wires.. theres the power wire that comes from the fuse itself.. thats blue/black and doesnt appear to have condiduity to the chassis (if it did it would blow the fuse all the time not when the relay is activated) the black/yellow wire that gets powered by the relay to provide 12V to the fuel pump DOES however have a dead short to the chassis. now im stuffed if i can find out where the wire goes to the front of the car as it branches off in the boot to the fuel pump and to the front. any help would be great!

my nistune runs my 360 rwkw stock internaled RB25 juuuust fine
-
yup. no probs. Group buy now full! those who have put their names down will get sent further details.
-
a leak down test would be 100% accurate. either way.. a breakerbar on the crank is a no no with no timing belt on.
-
to those bagging jeff you guys have no idea... he's one of the most talented nistune tuners around. and can pretty much tune anything. he's a top bloke to bot and wont rip you off like a lot of so called pro's i believe he's had enough of shit and has gone on a holiday and wont be contactable til further notice.

what size entry mate? 3 or 4 inch?
-
nope externally you cant tell.. its internally muffled. so ID of pipe becomes 3 inch instead of 4. still with twin 3 inch ID pipes there is ample flow.

from the downforce mate... i hit 200kph a few times on back straight and every time i do that the boot gets slightly worse lol. The origin GT Wing is suppose to provide a full 110kgs of downforce at a certain speed at full deflection according to an option mag review on various different wings. I got the wing from MAD Automotive here in adelaide.. great trader and have lots of parts in stock for nissans. -

Hi Guys Im running a group buy on AM Performance Blast pipes. they will be twin 4 inch pipes with angled up tips and a straight cut on the end of the pipe. they will have a single 3 or 4 inch entry (depending on your exhaust diameter) and available in muffled or straight thro configuration, Put simply they look awesome and are high quality items. Basically once you have the pipes you'd head to your nearest reputable exhaust shop and get them to weld it on and mount it with a couple of hangers... the blast pipes cant be supplied with welded on hangers due to the many different configurations out there. I will be doing an order of 5 or 10 if i can get enough interest. But it will work like this. 5 orders, straight thro blast pipes $280 each or muffled $310 each 10 orders, straight thro blast pipes $250 each or muffled $280 each. rrp is around 380 normally. I will be running this for one month.. or earlier if i can get all the spots filled. but what i will need is payment and addresses of each order and then they will all be sent out. there will be a start and finish date for this buy. Start will be today and finish date will be 26/08/2010 or earlier if all 10 spots are filled. If i only have enough interest for 5 buys then i will go ahead with that and process the order earlier then the finish date. People Interested (updated with interest) now for some pics so you all know what im talking about.

Joeyjoejoe's E85 Tuning Adventutres
Simon-S14 replied to joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
wow indeed thats massive for a stock motor... how do you reckon it will cope with it trent? i went with a 50/50 mix of e85 and bp98 (mainly to avoid upgrading injectors etc) and churned out 360 rwkw on 4 psi less boost and a shitload more timing...pretty good stuff ethanol is -
040 has the mesh. its an internal only. whereas 044 is higher rated and can be used either internal or externally (tho in the casse of a 32 internally is a bitch) if your trackin the car hard which it sounds like you are then get a surge tank. use the current intank pump to feed a surge tank and run an 044 externally.
-
nothing wrong with moving AFM to the pressure side. invest in a brand new Z32 afm (about 300) and then run that. no need to hack it apart either. ive run 1.4 bar thro mine for many track events and it loves it. prob wont last 15/20 years like they would normally but so far so good. advantages are no stalling when backing off and clutch in, 4 inch intake can be used and a sharper throttle response.

Simon-S14 replied to Simon-S14's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Have had no issues at all with it and runs very well. Doesn't ever stall on me and idle control is perfect. I rate it that's for sure. Pulled pipe off to do cams not long ago and inspected ATM and was faultless. I dont think 20 plus psi is an issue at all as I've been running 1.4 bar. However time will tell. I couldn't see the plastics lasting 15 years like that haha -
cool thanks for that. last track day i got a tiny bit of oil in catch can but motor saw limiter a lot and was over full as well.. think they were factors. in my CA18's case.. few laps it would empty the sump. oil everywhere, dipstick went flying and run like shit.... pretty sure that was excessive blowby
