  2. yeah i plan on doing that. you cant even use the 33 loom on the neo engine (not easily anyway) just wondering if anyones done the conversion tho and wired it up themself
  3. hey guys.. will be wiring a neo into a 33 gtst soon and just wondering if anyone has done the same conversion and wired it themselves. Basically want to get everything working as it should. any hints would be great
  4. im going with the mindset that when not if it pops i'll throw in another neo motor haha. in fact i even just bought another complete engine package the other day. will be using the R34 gearbox in mine but not sure if i will keep the motor as a spare... common sense tells me that i should but i need the cash atm to finish other shit off.
  5. im hoping it doesnt... if so. then i may look at swapping the whole bell housing over
  6. Cams sold...gotta be quick haha. turbo forsale still

  8. currently running a 33 box behind my neo RB25 (in an S14) and i want to put a R34 gearbox in there. now the box is pull type and i already have a brand new push clutch. whats involved in making the 34 box push type? cheers
  9. time for an update... havent used SAU in soooo long and now that its working with the new format im liking it more hehe. Yeah running a nistune ECU. the best shit for the money IMO. and yes the AFM in the pressure side of pipe works to stop stalling and reverbration issues and it works a treat. at the end of the day you can even run a stock ECU with the afm moved... it still reads the same amount of air. well the year is all but done and dusted.. car survived with NO mechnical failures. ended up winning a few drift events with it and placing well all round. Currently the SA champion for G1 so stoked about that so the neo has lasted a full season. with 350+ rwkw.. and not a hint of blowby next up is a overhaul of the fuel system and cooling system, then retuning for full e85 and see what more power it makes. for now here's some pics.

  20. so i took my drift car out to a SAU club day on thursday... didnt change anything except for adding some rear camber to fit 265's on the back. ran RSR fronts and 265 KU36's rear. managed a best time of 1.18.08 at mallala. brakes and lack of decent grip were my two biggest problems but i had a ball. anyway heres the vid http://vimeo.com/15685328
  21. SAU track day went awesome! did a best lap of 1.18.08 which if you know mallala is a decent time. even more decent is the fact that i was running street tyres and a drift set up still lol. with slicks, alignment and better brakes i have no doubt it would dip into the 15's then yesterday i went back out to Mallala for drift school.. did some teaching and some laps. distroyed my tyres in 4 laps LOL. Also Fast Fours came and did a photoshoot on the car so keep an eye out for it. some vids of both the drift yesterday and SAU grip 4 Laps, 2 with nisskid SAU Grip day
  22. haha the knob jokes come thick and fast when ppl peek into my car. on a side note.. hitting up the SAU time attack day this thursday! RSR's on front and 265 ku's on back. disconnect rear sway bar and play with dampers and go for a decent lap time! either way.. cant let HESLO beat me
