Installing Seimens Deka Injectors Onto A Neo Rb25 (r34)
Simon-S14 replied to Simon-S14's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
btw i should also mention that these injectors (the 60lb veersions) handle 360 rwkw and still have headroom and thats on a 50/50 ethanol mix too. however i'm gonna run straight e85 and close to 400 rwkw so will be swapping them out for a set of 80lbs to be safe. awesome awesome injector for the money.. -
Installing Seimens Deka Injectors Onto A Neo Rb25 (r34)
Simon-S14 replied to Simon-S14's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
no probslems using PFC... the problem is they need to be tuned correctly thats all. there are now 3/4 length deka's out for very similar price (set of 6 for 450 brand new for 60lb or 500 for 80lbs) which means you dont need to worry about raising the rail 12mm... easy! -
yeah its a 12mm thick washer with a 8mm hole in it.. as simple as they come. i even made a tutorial for it.. i'll see if i can find it. here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/297224-installing-seimens-deka-injectors-onto-a-neo-rb25-r34/

gearbox needs an overhaul to fix it so may as well replace or rebuild -
Possibly A Stupid Idea.
Simon-S14 replied to Johny Bravo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
while not a bad idea the problem is most of these late model auto trans are controlled by the engine ecu.. and since you probably wont have that it may be a real PITA to get it working as it should. i would just either rebuild the current trans to hold the power and fit a shift kit with modified valve body if you want to retain auto... or fit a 33 manual box. -
of course i dont mind... if a proven recipe works then by all means go with it. best part is mine is still stock internaled motor. those injectors you linked are full length im pretty sure.. they will still fit and do the job well.
-
you need 14mm injectors.. get deka's that suit FG's (they are 3/4 length and drop straight in. i have the full length items and even they work but you need to space the rail by 12mm. use tomei poncamsm drop in and forget about cam gears. any reason you want to use the G4? the nistune works well and is cheaper. but you would need boost control of somekind then.
-
any Dextron 3 ATF will do the trick
-
you cant use sidefeeds... its a neo. my set up works phernominally well. its the following. -siemens deka 60lb injectors -nistune -z32 -poncams -3076 with tial 44mm ex gate -am performance steampipe manifold -fmic -3 inch exhaust makes 350ish rwkw running an ethanol mix.. but was about 290 rwkw running bp98 and stock cams and smaller gate. you dont need aftermarket manifolds... 3076 will fit on stock manifold but use an adaptor/spacer that has ex gate port in it also so you can run one. stock intake manifold flows really well. deka injectors are cheap as.. $400 for a full set brand new.
-
yes its a direct bolt on. larger housing means it will flow more and hence make more power. but to get the most out of it you'd need a tune. they are great turbos for what they are tho

Is Abs Good For Drifting And Have Fun With The Car
Simon-S14 replied to streetboyz's topic in General Automotive Discussion
for drift ABS is an absolute no no and the reason this is all is well and good if you remain on the track but if you stuff up and start going off track onto grass with the brakes hard on you will not be stopping once you hit that grass... the abs system will just give up. have come close to hitting walls after driving several abs equiped cars. its also shit if your in a 4 wheel slide and you need to use footbrake as well as handbrake to reduce speed but maintain angle.. again the abs system just craps out. for a road car they are ideal.. wouldnt let my wife drive without abs haha -
one thing to keep in mind for a road car is that if you stich weld your engine bay and have an accident.. you could be faced with a lot larger repair bills as the car will bee much harder to repair/pull straight
-
yeah vipec is fine... by decent ecu i meant anything other then the stock one. good luck with the clutch lol
-
if its for street then yeah forget the cams however on the track i would fit cams for sure.. you'd get better response/power gains without having to run as high boost. great for reliability and track work.

Clutch Problems After Two Step Launch
Simon-S14 replied to VB-'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yeah its very possible.. but the rattle and the grinding could be indicators that the springs have broken or the holders for the springs have broken. this is the 2nd most common thing to see. heres a pic for reference -
Lost Reverse
Simon-S14 replied to mazzone_child's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
more then likely a part of the selector has failed... either way its a gearbox out job to fix it. -

use an NPC clutch not a shitty extreme... and as others have said dont waste cash on shit that isnt needed. use stock intake and exhaust manifolds and get a decent ecu.

Clutch Problems After Two Step Launch
Simon-S14 replied to VB-'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
sad to say but thats a common problem with extreme clutches.. however its usually the brassbuttons that do it not the carbotics. either way i have a nice pile of failed extreme clutches sitting in my shed from various customers that tell another story.
