  1. i had one in my ae86 with a CA18 and distroyed the selector fork.. unsure if it was related or not but i havent run one since. i know plenty ppl who, like yourself, have used them with no issues and prefer them but ive learnt to work with mine and the throw with the long knob (lol) makes it feel better for me again.. just slots into a gear where i want it
  2. nah i like the long throw... short shift kit puts way too much stress on syncro's as it is.
  3. Heres some vids and pics from a prac day at tailem bend just gone. was awesome fun and new susp works a goddamn treat! http://vimeo.com/15515126 http://vimeo.com/15512167
  4. dont need to go to nissan for it mate... just go to a place that sells seals and that kind of thing and grab a rubber o ring. hell i have something in my workvan that suits
  5. oh that oring... for the sake of 25 cents i would fit a new one
  6. the spacers in the ring are important... without it you'll break the CAS drive tooth in no time
  7. or like my set up... 200 rwkw @ 3800 rpm haha
  8. BC ER's i got... decent value! so i dummy fitted all the gear tonight and i got two issues... one is i painted everything up and forgot to weld a lock stopper on the arm LOL so will need to work out a spot and then grind back paint and weld on a stopper. 2nd is my sway bar link... i dont know where i f**ked up but i did.. its on a bad angle and when i move arm towards pos castor it binds and hits. so will have to redo that too. apart from that it looks like its gonna have MAJOR lock with xero bind.. arm is not straight with the tie rod by a long shot so will be awesome.. took some pics and theres no castor rod fitted as im still waiting on it to be machined.
  9. got some BC ER's going in.. should have em today. binding, correcting of roll centre, also suspension bush binding elimination are the 3 big reasons
  10. happed on a mate of mines SR20 too. also have seen it happen on other peoples builds... most of the time from incorrect install/removal of cam caps.
  11. cause you asked nicely heres some pics of the progress.. been taking a while and not yet finished.
  12. Im selling the coilovers from my s14 due to upgrading.. They have no leaks or knocks and work very well. I bought them from JIS in as new condition so they havent had many kms put on them, collars have some scuff's and dents from doing them up etc but over all they are good. Body adjustable, preload adjustable and they are an inverted front strut for extra reliability. Can be made to go REAL low. 8/6 kg rate too $900 located in SA... can ship at buyers cost if outside of SA. PM me or SMS 0412 938 933 Pics
  13. Selling my mount and camera... mount is basically brand new, comes with box and support stand. rrp on the mount is $300 ish depending on where you get it from. comes with cannon tape cam, with firewire cable and charger. its reliable as hell and takes decent footage.. cam is cheap and basically FREE at this price enough not to worry about it if it gets damaged by having it outside the car. PM me or sms 0412 938 933 Price $250 FIRM. +postage if sending it

  15. theres no way its a restriction.. you can flow 300 rwkw or even 350 rwkw of air thro 3 inch pipe no worries.. think about intercooler pipes and how they flow large amounts of air under pressure and yet are around the 2.5 inch mark
  16. they help make more power on less boost. So in a stock engine you can run 300 rwkw without having to push 20+ psi to get there. thats where cams come in handy! its a lot safer on the engine and you get some nice response gains to boot. with my neo i gainedpower and response EVERYWHERE from fitting a set of drop in cams... and also runs less boost to make same power.
  17. on another set up we did on a mates street car same turbo as mine mounted on stock manifold. used a 4-3inch black silicon reducer and painted black hard pipe to the AFM. cant really tell that its a 4 inch intake on turbo unless you look right at it.
  18. Cams would make a huge difference
  19. much love for the anti surge housing... i have 4 inch hardpipe straight to Air filter (afm is on other side of pipework) and the spooling sound is insane! greatest sound on earth hahaha
  20. i'd also like to mention that the cefiro crossmember and the r32 crossmember have the SAME part number from nissan... so theres no difference?!
  21. all tomei cams have tomei logo and part number lazer etched into them.
