  1. true.. i should have been clearer. When we're dealing with the 3071 with a cropped ex wheel and a OP6 style or AVO style rear housing and internal wastegate as opposed to the 60mm garret 4bolt ex gate housing... the 3076 comes out top there. the 3071 with the same garret 4 bolt rear housing is a different story since it has a 71mm wheel as opposed to 76 it will spool earlier for sure.
  2. ahh internally gated's a different story. get the .82.. you'll run into overboost issues with the smaller housing and IW. FWIW mine is ex gated type .63 and makes 360 rwkw so the housing can flow more then 300 rwkw thats for sure.
  3. Nooo get the .63 rear. Response Ftw
  4. bit of variation thats for sure
  5. his car has boost increased and nistune. so 210 rwkw is about right on the money for the power it should be putting out. 163 is far lower then expected and i would say something else is the issue
  6. a dyna pack hub dyno is more accurate then most dynos. it has correction factors built in for diff ratio, wheel diameter and wheel weights also. if anything it might read say higher due to having no wheelspin like you would see on a chassis dyno EDIT: running 600 cc's... not runing full e85, but if i were i recjkon they might max out. i do however have the option of bumping the rail pressures up.. which would make a difference
  7. well its not far from the truth... on every brand new 3076r you buy from Garret it comes with 3037S stamped on the build plate haha. its weird but thats how the garret/HKS relationship have filtered down to how we buy turbos heres another thought. KKR = 800 + 400-500 to fit it and custom parts = 1300 ish = still bush bearing, laggy and old school turbo tech 3076 = 1600 ish + 300 for fitting kit = spend more and get a much better result and have a turbo that will last years
  8. 3037s and 3076 are same turbo pretty much. ive got the 3076 56t in .63 rear and i f*ken love it. with cams its soooo responsive and pulls hard. Makes 200 rwkw at 4000 rpm and 360 at 6500 rpm. good safe tune on the fuel mix also. having has both the KKR and Slide turbos in the past i would NOT dickaround with them and just go straight to a decent garret turbo, for street and response... 0.63 is where its at. dont listen to the BS about it being restrictive for 300 rwkw... thats just crap
  9. lol easiest way is to get one of these long straight drains from MTQ http://www.sonicperformance.com.au/Turbo-A...il-drain/pl.php then run some oil proof hose down and into thr block return. clamp on either end and sleeve it with heat proof insulation if you wanted. simple and reliable. As for your JIC fitting in the oil feed needing a washer.. they are a flare fitting so the seal is created on the flare not omn a washer like banjo bolts.
  10. its not fair? on who? haha as i said ive had both turbos on rb25's so just posting my experiences.
  11. dude...your a fool if you sell it NOW?!
  12. why such a large turbo??
  13. its a cefiro swaybar, unsure of P/N sorry
  14. ones at wheels and other is tractive effort...
  15. only way to get it where you want it is to modify the engine brackets. in my S14 i have an RB25 with R33 crossmember and custom cut and shut steel brackets which sit 20mm further back and 20mm lower. works a treat as motor is as far back as it will go and allows room for a clutch fan and radiator. nice and low too.
  16. yeah bit of an error of judgment there. a lack of 2 way radios on the day made it hard to let everyone know what was going on. the guy on the start line letting cars go had no radio and was going by a flag system. dont think we'll be using tyres again for the middle.. it was all we had to set it up initially but next time we'll use bollard cones or something
  17. damn right... hahaha next time ey
  18. thanks guys.. comments and feedback have been forwarded to Raceline. theres a Prac day on 3rd oct and another Raceline Stadium Drift full comp this time on Oct 30th

  20. yeah i can understand that. however it was a day of drift format and as such was played very much by ear. when you say they didnt like how the track had changed what do you mean? it got changed for the big entry comp but that didnt work so it was changed back. the Oct comp coming up with be a full comp layout with timetable of events etc
