  1. the GCG tag states GT3071R-SP the Garret tag states GT2835R - 56T 700382-20 its a single turbo 300zx ehaust housing with internal gate made into the above specs. i hope this helps
  2. so has anyone found out what there worth? also a little birdy told me that some engine builders can convert hydraulic lifters to solid.. any one had any experience with this?
  3. pull all your plugs out and do a compression test.. mine sounded ruff at idle but went fine and still made good power on the dyno i did a compression test and had cracked ringland in no 6.. rings were still intact so it was still sealing sort a
  4. i just got back from the dyno.. as you can see from 18 psi to 23 psi it dosent make much more power. is this due to the ehaust housing being to small. the leaking bov that i fixed earlier today helped but didnt solve the problem. im now making the same power today with the ebc set at 18psi then i was making yesterday with it set at 21 psi.. should i get the ehaust housing machined out a bit to slow the compressor wheel down and increase flow?
  5. my list of mods is in the forced induction section.
  6. hey Paul in a month or so i will be heading over to Mafra, i would be more then happy to meet you somwhere near melbourne and take you for a spin.. then you can make your own judgement.
  7. i think my plumb back, blitz bov was also bypassing at high boost so i have replaced it with another one i had laying around, and i was able to drop the ebc duty cycle down 15 % and still make the same boost. may have had something to do with it. im heading back to the dyno in about an hour so i will try again with the new bov and see if it levels the boost out a bit. 1.5 bar ya reckon Gary.. that will get my missus to the shops in a real hurry...
  8. yea yea.. bla bla.. just because the faq sheet says bla bla.. not being a nasty.. but i have never heard you say that you have actually been in a auto 33 with a power fc in it. have you? the standard 33 trans drives exactly the same as it did with the standard ecu. anyone that owns a auto 33 im more then happy to prove it works perfectly.. but i bet you cant prove that it dosent work.... obviously over 300 kws the trans will eventually need a rebuild with stronger clutches etc but for $2500 for the full works and jerks racing trans upgrade including high stall converter
  9. ive just pumped out 267.5kws at the wheels, and i was wondering if anyone else has been down this road.
  10. as it says? im just curious
  11. so what are you suggesting? should i get a stronger actuator? a better quality ebc? or a bigger turbo? a set of pon cams?
  12. im not sure if this will help but without the solenoid conected it will run around the 13.5 psi mark
  13. not sure on the actuator.. it came with the turbo from gcg.. i was trying to run around the 18 psi mark
  14. the turbo is basically a single turbo 300zx exhaust housing bored out to suit the gt30 core rated at 500 hp the compressor housing is rather large, but im thinking the exhaust housing may still be to small to let it breathe
  15. list of mods= acl forged pistons eagle h beam rods balance etc standard head and cams stainless low mount manifold gt3071r-sp turbo nismo 550cc injectors q45 AFM full 3 inch ehauxt 600x300x80 IC walbro pump power fc iridium plugs gizzmo ebc sard rising rate fuel reg MV auto shift kit
  16. exhaust is 3 inch straight thru all the way from turbo to rear tip. but with a 3 inch high flow cat
  17. being a auto they allways run it in second gear.
  18. i have e gizzmo ebc.. allthough it works i dont think it works as efectively as it should
  19. sorry my bad
  20. any thoughts
  21. so whats the story with running a N1 oil pump in a rb25det? the car wont be doing any track work just a quick streeter. im well over ten grand on the engine so i want the right pump for the job.
  22. wow!!! 434.5 kws im asuming thats at the wheels? good effort fella.. so is that the rb25 head or a 26 head? and how large was your turbo to do that? whats your redline set at? and whats it like to drive? cheers
  23. the head has had a full three angle valve grind, and all stem seals replaced. i was more thinking down the track changing to a rb26 head.. due to big cams and lifters.. will they bolt straight on? my original question i was wondering if any one else has done the full rebuild, how much grunt? did you lift the standard 7000 rpm limiter to 7500 or 8000 with new rods and pistons? any other experiences?
