  1. rb25 standard cams .82 AR 26psi by 4200rpm would be about 3500 on a rb30 and may be better with cams.
  2. we had to tweak the Q45 as it kept maxing out. So yes i would say it was money well spent. there around the same price as a Z32 anyway.
  3. Run on BP ultimate. had a few issues with the EBC solenoid. but results were impressive. we finished up with knock peaking at 12 and the results are below. standard head and cams. standard plenum standard coils. notice full boost by 4200... And best yet its an AUTO
  4. 044 installed intank with a strainer sock filter thing on the bottom. its wisper quiet. no louder then the walbro. im of to get some decent rear tyres fitted then off to th dyno. will be in touch
  5. its a stainless low mount that has been on the car for 18 months. never had an issue with it. not sure on brand.. i dont think its anything flash, but it seems to flow ok.
  6. have any of your turbos got a 2 hole flange top and bottom. ie to suit the oil drain top and bottom? ive never seen one..
  7. but if they tapped a thread into it to suit the banjo fitting then where does all the swarf go?
  8. yea they were.. but you try that with a 3 inch and a 2 inch mandrel bend coming off a gt3540.. there just isnt the room.
  9. how do i get that info for you? more then happy to share my results
  10. yep.. to me it looks like the lines have been put on upside down. he said a panel beater installed it... if its the case then they would have tapped a thread into the housing and filled the bearings up with metal filings. i would say its shagged... take a pic from under the car.. then we will know for sure.
  11. can you take a pic from underneath the turbo looking up at it. where the oil drain is conected. cheers
  12. i only have a garrett to compare it too.. but i would say the bearing cage is upside down. they must have tapped a thread into the bearing housing to screw the fitting in. the area you circled should have the oil drain bolted to it.
  13. im booked in for friday at 11:00am tomorrow night i will install a 044 intank, so my only limiting factor will be the standard coil packs. they have only done 47,000 klm's so shouldnt be to bad. hopefully the pump install goes to plan, and i will put up all my findings friday arvo.
  14. Exactly the same as when i put the PFC in the car. the car has been running at 270 kws for the past six months and is normally driven every day. All the people on here that say it doesnt work have never tried it. its as simple as that. i have just installed a gt3540-IW and it is so smooth to drive. i cant wait for a response from Paul33.
  15. can any one recomend any decent back tyres to run on the dyno. do M/T street radials work well.
  16. smooth... no issue
  17. ive been told by Gary that 5.1 volts is twice the airflow of 4.7 volts.. so it shouldnt be an issue. however in saying this i feel its still fairly high for a 2.5 lt at only 13 psi, when they say they can handle 500 kws.. everything is still working ok so i will let you know how i go on the dyno with 20 psi
  18. ahhhh thanks heaps... problem solved... argggg.. damm cars
  19. is this normal or is something wrong. i thought they only went to 5 volts at max.. whats going to happen when i push 20psi into her... rb25 with gt3540 cheers
  20. its all on and running smooth. i need a tune as knock starts heading towards 90, but at 13 psi it pulls like a train. very smooth power. like the falcon xr6 turbo just with lag. havent done enough kays as yet to work out when boost hits etc. but id say around 4500 things start to happen fairly quickly.
  21. where did you get that info from? cheers
  22. i didnt write them down before i put the turbo on but from what i can see its chra no. is 706451-5015 i dont know if thats of any help as i cant find much info on them as yet
