  1. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!! Holy chit, that's one of the funniest things I have ever read!!!1 :)
  2. I've done many many many jump starts with my PowerFCs and had no problems. This is how I jump start cars: 1. Back cars up together 2. Connect cables 3. Start the car with the good battery 4. Leave for 5-10 minutes to trickle charge the battery in the flat car. 5. Start up the flat car, and immediately disconnect the jumper leads 6. Switch off the good car. 7. Go drive the flat car. No problems with frying my PowerFC.
  3. GAH... I dunno Still waiting on some parts... Hopefully within the month!
  4. Yup Truth be told, I don't believe the new 320ps rating either... I think 280ps is more accurate, but I guess we'll see when my engine gets done. With my engine build, I'll pretty much be able to push these turbos to their absolute limit, so we'll see what these babies can do!
  5. Congratulations Deano
  6. Thanks Amaru Sorry I wasn't around for most of the day and didn't get to meet you, I managed to score a media pass, so I was running around all day snapping photos by the track or hiding in the media room with the nice airconditioning, free food and free drinks I agree that it all comes down to tuning. In reality, an RB26 should handle GT2530s (350-360kw @ wheels in maximum tune) without much drama... So as long as you have a competent tune, you should be fine!
  7. With the camshafts, I opted for the Tomei PONCAM 260/260 9.15mm lift setup... No idea how they'll go with my GT-SS turbos, but here's hoping!
  8. 1. Nismo one is a direct fit, but the Bosch 044 is pretty darn simple to install.. A couple of cable ties or clamps, attach the sock filter, wire it up and voila. It's a lot cheaper too and is interchangable between your GTRs... For some reason the NISMO catalog lists different part numbers for fuel pumps for R32/R33/R34 GTR... 2. If you want one that's interchangeable, just buy a generic kit from either HKS or GREX... They'll bolt on and mount in front of the radiator on the driver's side... The car specific kits aren't interchangeable as they sit in the passenger air duct and come with air guides and funky stuff but need cutting and fitting. 3. I've got the GReddy 600x300x115 sitting here waiting to go on as well... Seems like an excellent intercooler for the money, but being 4.5 inches thick, you have to cut away a bit of the bumper to create the physical room needed to mount the monster... I'm not sure what thickness you can go upto without cutting your front bumper. 4. Oil catch can is an Oil catch can. Get which ever you think is the nicest, make sure it's packed with a bit of steel wool. 5. Not too sure on this one. I have ordered HKS ones, but was considering the CES ones. They look VERY well made and designed but are just as expensive as all the Japanese ones. The reason I went with HKS is because I have HKS turbos and HKS front pipes and I *KNOW* that I'll have absolutely zero issues with fitment, whereas the custom-ish CES ones looked........ iffy.
  9. Okay... Good luck with the sale!
  10. Get the XR8 bonnet ASAP
  11. I'll take the TV Tuner card along with the wheels
  12. Hey guys, try this nifty little program for all your conversion needs ftp://ftp.andrewho.com/pub/warez/convert.zip
  13. Where's the R34 GTR N1?
  14. I'm very interested, but I'm afraid that's more than what I can get new ones for... If you're willing to lower the price of them considerably, then send me a PM... Cheers, Andrew.
  15. The black Commodore was Con's daily driver and as such didn't have rollcage or meet any of the ANDRA safety requirements. Neither did the XR6T.
  16. Ryan, It's an APS Phase 3 kit, without the APS top intake piping (for the more stock look, although the APS replacement part looks nearly dead stock too) APS is actually working on a Phase 4 kit So just to be clear, it's a stock XR6-Turbo with APS Phase 3 Kit and "modified" auto box.
  17. Wouldn't mind coming along to see what I can learn... Might even get my hands dirty A Group Service/Learning Day was suggesting at UAS in Castle Hill, not sure how that ended up though.
  18. Steve... Those power figures on the Phoenix Power site are engine hp figures, not wheel hp.
  19. Actually HKS have revised their power rating for the GT-SS turbos. In my 2002-2003 Goodsmaster (when GT-SS/RS were first announced), the GT-SS was rated at 280ps, but now it has been revised to 320ps (same as GT2530s)... Yes, I'm just as confused as you are :looney:
  20. Are they the same size as stock pulleys but lighter? Or are they underdriven as well? You sure are a resourceful bugger
  21. True about the response point... A smaller turbo will almost always be more responsive than a larger turbo. Hence why I think that the GT-SS's will be better street-oriented turbos than the GT2530s... Anyway, I'm just speculating here and pulling this purely out of my ass, so I'm going to stop until they are installed and I have a dyno sheet to show you guys...
  22. :looney:
  23. And you never will if you don't put your balls on the line and just come and meet us
  24. Money is no object to ricers chasing the dream of making their cars look fast
  25. I said that if the GT-SS were able to come on boost earlier than the GT2530s, would they be better for STREET, not for circuit racing... So I'm not sure why you want to compare power EVERYWHERE? On the street 99.5% of the time I'm between 1500rpm and 4000rpm. So surely for this STREET comparison we'd be wanting to compare the area under the curve for that rev range... If we were doing a CIRCUIT comparison we'd want to compare the area under 4000-8000rpm If we were doing a STREET AND CIRCUIT comparison, we'd want to compare the ENTIRE rev range... Correct? So keeping in mind that I NEVER said that GT-SS would be better for street/circuit, but only said that if they are able to spool faster than GT2530s, they would be better for STREET, do you really think my statements are that wild and shocking? Over to you.
