  1. Okay, that sounds like a fair way of comparing them, except I'd want to compare them from 2000-8000rpm, not 4250-7250rpm. Why would you start the comparison after the GT2530s have spooled up? That will negate the GT-SS's advantage in the lower revs and skew the results in favour of GT2530s... Hardly fair. BTW, I have no idea what these GT-SS turbos will make... I'm as interested and clueless as everyone else I'm just hoping that they'll spool up faster than the GT2530s and still make 300kw @ all four peak power... If it can do that I'll be over the moon

    G'day from NSW :D

Just because I found them, that means everyone can? Doesn't work like that mate... Not everyone is as resourceful as I am!! HAHAHAHAHAA, just kidding Can I ask how often you check the Western Australia or South Australia forums? Myself? NONE. I suppose I should make a similar thread in there too

    Oh I'm very relaxed
  4. Yeah, unfortunately jaqule, perhaps as RedlineGTR suggested, try getting some second hand wheels from importers? That would be a LOT cheaper than paying the near-extortion-like prices of new japanese wheels

Also, I wouldn't DREAM of trying to disband the cameraderie you guys have in here... I'm just saying that quite few threads really have nothing to do with Victoria, and would be appreciated by people who never venture into the Victorian Forums Here are a few examples IMHO! Beautiful blue paintjob: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=34046 Home-made pulleys: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=34066 Missing Nissan blue plate? (This one would be of interest to a LOT of people!!!) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=33919 Trust T517z Turbo!!! (YUMMY ) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=34005 Skyline Commercials!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=33853 And that's just on the first two pages (There were more in those two pages but I picked the most outstanding threads that I would have loved to have seen earlier had they been posted outside of the Victoria specific forums) I hope you guys aren't taking this the wrong way, it's just that there's a wealth of information that's hiding in here that 70% of SAU will never see

    PM sent!
  7. Well if I am able to bring the turbos on 500rpm earlier than stock with my GT-SS turbos, would that be better for street than GT2530s in your opinion?
  8. The range of wheels that fit the R33 GTS-t is mind boggling. I don't know where you get the idea that there is a limited range from... Maybe it's because you're looking at cheap knock-offs like ANZ wheels, and not at the expensive Japanese brands... ANZ, BSA, etc etc all the those Tempe Tyre type of brands all copy Japanese designs, and make them in sizes for FWD econoboxes, so to get correct sizing for your R33, look to the original, and much more expensive original Japanese brands.

erm................................................... It's okay.... You can keep that one
  10. So I've been browsing the Vic forums for a bit now, and I've noticed that 80% of the threads in here would be much better suited for the General Automotive or Forced Induction forums... Is it fair to ask the Victorian moderators to please move threads into their appropriate sections in future so the rest of SAU can partake in the discussions and glean knowledge from the very good input you guys have, but keep hidden inside the Vic forums? Most people outside of Victoria see no real reason to venture in here to look for information about the NISMO R34 MFD, or this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=33628 Why would something like that be posted in the Victoria forums?? Please share the wealth and post in the correct forums, as it also makes it a lot easier when searching for information!! Cheers guys
  11. Oh, and their website is: http://www.wsid.com.au
  12. It's not in Penrith... WSID (Western Sydney International Dragway) is located directly opposite/right nextdoor to Eastern Creek Raceway. Hope to see you there
  13. I thought it was being held at Penrith Panthers? 1/4 Mile drag to Krispy Kreme???
  14. I'll be leaving the Shell Space Station at 8am and heading up the M2 to WSID... If you guys want me to show you that way, come along... It's MUCH faster than trudging through the horrendous Lane Cove Rd traffic to get to the M4...
  15. Show entries open at 8am... I reckon we should aim to get there at 8-8:30 to secure a good spot for SAU?
  16. This has to be THE riciest thing, that I have ever heard of. Congratulations.
  17. I still haven't received any tickets.
  18. Kel, are you displaying your Z with us? Would look extra cool surrounded by a vicious pack of skylines
  19. I was going to reply to everyone who asked me a question in reply to one of my posts... but you guys aren't even listening to what I'm saying, and just extracting parts of my sentences and taking them out of context and then calling me out on them. At the end of the day, I would like to limit the number of dirt cheap skylines entering Australia, because I don't want 16 year olds writing them off (adversely affecting the car enthusiast scene), and I don't want my car to depreciate prematurely (adversely affecting my bank account balance)... Even if this 15 year old rule is scrapped (and I'll bet anyone here that it will be either scrapped or changed), there will still be plenty of japanese import cars for future owners to choose from, be it from cars already in australia or those still being imported through SEVS... It's not like scrapping the 15 year old rule will stop the flow of skylines entering our market. It will only stop the flow of dirt cheap ones that don't have to go through compliance. Elitist, selfish, whatever... call it what you want. I call it looking after my own interests as an owner and car enthusiast. Here ends my partaking in this fruitless and endless discussion between two groups who have completely opposite goals regarding the importation of japanese cars. Thanks for the interesting chat guys, and I mean that...
  20. I'm soooo tempted to gay up this thread, but I won't Yes, these forums are indeed an excellent source of information and camaraderie
  21. Where the hell is Tony? That motherbish owes me a few steak dinners for that front bar
  22. Sorry Brendan, I got you confused with Steve in this thread... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...xhaust+manifold I knew it was one of you guys
  23. FYI, that main dash surround runs about $600 new from Nissan.
  24. NOOOOOOOOOO Don't lower the price of GTR coolers!!! They're awesome coolers and are worth a LOT more than $500 :)
