  1. Good idea Dundan, I will call on monday and see what I can organise in the way of a formal SAU agreement... Gary's Motorsport Tyres 10 CARNEGIE PLACE, BLACKTOWN NSW 2148 PHONE: 02 9676 8655 MOBILE: 0418 968 613 FAX: 02 9676 5300 HOURS OF OPERATION: MONDAY - FRIDAY: 8am - 5.30pm
  2. Firstly, for those who can't read katakana, "マインズオリジナル" means: Mines Original. Nothing exciting, but helps to know I guess... Also, although not listed on the above spec sheet, watching the video of the Mines R34 lapping Tsukuba, it's obvious that the car is lower than standard, which suggests an inordinate amount of suspension changes on the car... The Japs don't muck around when setting up their track demo cars. Secondly, the smaller camshafts on the Mines R34 would help in the faster revving of the engine from 4-5000rpm as seen on the video as compared to the larger 272/272 cams in the HKS R33... As discussed in the lightened pulley thread, any weight reduction in the drivetrain rotating mass will result in a very noticable response increase, and the carbon prop shaft would contribute a lot to this... I haven't seen the video of the HKS R33 lapping, can someone please host it for us?
  3. Nope, he got it.... Must have overlooked it... All is well.
  4. ER34s use PULL clutches, and are the same as the (2/93 ~ End) BNR32/BCNR33 PULL clutches. Not sure what advantage there is of one over the other, but I know that OS Giken only make PUSH clutches and I had to buy the OS Giken Conversion kit to adapt their clutch for my BCNR33.... From that I assume (probably incorrectly) that PUSH clutches are better?
  5. With the exception of Jay's post, everything else has errors in it. Let me post from my NISMO catalog that lists exactly what they are. BNR32 (Start ~ 2/93) - PUSH BNR32 (2/93 ~ End) - PULL BCNR33 - PULL BNR34 - PULL (But incompatible to non BNR34s for reasons stated in Jay's Post)
  6. By those photos, it looks like a low mount setup...
  7. I wrote in big, bold capital letters "NOTE: I WILL BE DISPLAYING WITH THE SKYLINES AUSTRALIA STAND" and I wrote my website address as "skylinesaustralia.com" Not sure how much clearer it could be I'll give him a call.
  8. Pretty much spot on there GTST... Don't expect to get your car tuned at CRD for any less than $800 though... That's their minimum cost... Jim is an excellent tuner, but quite expensive...
  9. I still haven't recieved my email
  10. You're right in that it depends on how you define the term "rice". Unfortunately, the common definition is WRONG. It all started with a kid at school drawing up cartoon drawings in class showing a kid with a Honda Civic with bodykit, ridiculous spoiler, huge wheels and a fart-can exhaust..... and his dog "Mugen". http://www.riceboypage.com/index.html Click on "The Adventures" to read the original comic strip. Now, the term "rice" has mutated into such a state that ANY car with ANY non-performance enhancing modifications is considered rice. Your car runs 8s? Awesome... OH!!!! Is that a carbon fibre bonnet I see? RICE-BOY!!! RICE-BOY!!!! It angers me that no matter how fast your car is, it doesn't matter anymore. All people care about is that it has goddamn stickers down the side. As long as you have any asthetic modifications to make your car LOOK nice/different/unique, your car is deemed "ricey", it doesn't even matter if it laps Eastern Creek in 30 seconds or does the standing quarter in 3 seconds. It's still "rice" :Bang:
  11. I give up... It's like talking to a brick wall. Your definition of "rice" obviously isn't going to be corrected, so I'm not going waste my time. :Bang:
  12. attachment doesn't work, but I assume you're talking about the gull winged Yashio Factory S15... That car probably puts out well over 500hp (very conservative estimate)... How can you call it rice? It has the power to backup it's looks. The HKS Drag GTR has enough stickers to cover a QANTAS 747-400... They don't add performance, would you call that car "rice"?? You need to go back and re-learn what the term "ricey car" means. In fact, most people do. The term is now applied to every single non-performance enhancing modification done to a car, which is utterly ridiculous. If a car has the balls to backup it's looks, no matter how outlandish, offensive or stupid... IT'S NOT RICE.
  13. What cars do you have? Do you own them outright? No finance owing on them?
  14. What do you have in collateral?
  15. I'll wait patiently at my computer for the reply email to come through
  16. So true ** CHAUVENIST WARNING BELOW**
  17. I have hosted the video and updated the link in the first post. Here it is for the lazy ones  ftp://ftp.andrewho.com/pub/vids/noseatbelt.avi
  18. What are you talking about? The Japs have been modifying their cars in that way (big performance, outlandish looks) for DECADES, before we had any idea which way was up... It was the REST OF THE WORLD that copied the jap styling, not the other way around. They haven't fallen into any "trap"........... THEY SET THE TRAP. It was the REST OF THE WORLD that copied the Japanese in their styling cues, but forgot the performance aspect along with it. Instead of modifying for extreme horsepower AND extreme looks, kids started just opting for the extreme looks, which resulting in the coining of the term "ricer". In it's original definition, a "ricer" was someone that modified their car to give off a "sense of speed" through stickers, bodykit, loud exhaust, etc, without actually increasing their cars' actual performance. The term "ricer" therefore cannot be applied to ANY of the cars there, as they would rip the rollers off any dyno and tear your car, and my car, a new exhaust hole.
  19. The second one could quite possibly be using stock actuators? GT2530s don't come with actuators and have to be ordered seperately, so perhaps they opted to use stock actuators instead?
  20. Someone photochopped it...
  21. How about telling us what car it is, or posting a photo of the fusebox cover with the printed diagram?????
