  4. should be about $10... I'll pm you payment details for just the CB's and when I get it, I'll post em off to you, then you can fix me up later for postage or something like that.
  5. i've got a spare set, if you can cover the extra amount for postage I can send it off to you.
  6. Just a quick post to let you guys know that we'll be doing a duck meet, following the same format as usual. Meet up at Monash Uni, then a short drive to Glen Waverley, for dinner at Rock Kung. Could go bowling after or go for a drive... depending on what people feel like. Date: Tuesday the 26th of May Meetup at 7:30ish at Monash, or 8:30ish at Rock Kung.
  7. wow, you're gettin the royal reach around... Alfred's car was towed to the inspection centre the following day cos they couldn't come out, and had two quotes by the end of the week. lol he's with Just Cars as well.
  8. be more specific in your sweeping statements then
  9. lol you really wanna play this game? cos if you do you'll be wishing you were able to "come in mens" by the end of it.
  10. dear sirs. here is a skyline. it has 20" wheels. 20"x11" please explain how this car fails at life. in conclusion, please summarise in 30 words or less how your car does not seem as appealing as a coathanger enduced abortion in comparison to it. Cheers, friendly admin.
  11. the windscreen wiper signal amplifier module (basically a circuit with two relays in it) is the exact same as... a Honda Legend. wtf.
  12. no melb, at home now. sweet man, plans look good... pics of it in action plz. also we went to Haci's and had EPIC kebabs the way they're supposed to be made. Tonight is a duck meet with some of the local SAU boys (like you guys, but from Melbourne).
  13. in other news... i think tas likes my R32 after a quick fang out last night.
  14. is that tubing thick enough to hold the weight of the car without warping? i can't see how thick it is from those pics. Also I'm assuming you got the pivoting points exactly the same height from the ground and also left enough clearance for half a car to pass under the pivot?
  15. I'll be driving thru shepparton on Friday night or Saturday morning on my way down from Brisbane... I might as well stop by and lend a hand, can't commit to any time at this stage cos I dunno when we'll actually be getting there.
  16. sif... that ad was aimed at the dad's of the kids in japan who'd grow up to inherit the car and use it to touge or rip epic skids. Cefiros. The VL's of Japan.
  17. I'll rape you. shank you. skull fuck your corpse and take a big steaming dump on your grave.
  18. the wheels will add load to your hubs, which might make it marginally lower, but the kW difference should be negligible... however the added weight of the rims and the lower profile tyres will affect your handling much more noticeably. Also maybe people who run bigger wheels opt for cheaper/less grippier tyres, and therefore on a dyno there's more slip?
  19. download the service manual (linked to in one of the threads in this section). it should have a detailed explanation and an exploded view of the box.
  20. meh, i already had the irrits by the time you got there, so when you just sat in your car and kept mumbling shit I figured getting sleep for a 11 hour drive was much more worthwhile than watching you and tas pissfarting around... so I took off. oh well, try again tomorrow. we might actually still be here for nandos if this weather keeps up.
  21. Most times a "Garett" brand turbo is put together by a distributor that deals with Garett. The formula for the turbos they put together can vary based on either what you request or what they believe is better.
  22. so this is your final decision? good on ya for seeing the light. Has your new team of professionals (I'm assuming you've picked three new experts?) that are helping you with this build told you the differences between the HKS T51R and the Garett equivalent? You may find that although they may have the same compressor and exhaust housings etc, they'll spool differently due to internals. You'll also find that the "Garett equivalents" are built inhouse at a authorised reseller who's just going off specs, so just be weary that they may not have the research and development behind it as an HKS unit.
