  1. I think that's exactly what the "Black Edition" is, all black with black trim. But if Australia is only getting one spec of GT-R then I doubt that'd be available to choose.
  2. i'll see if i can find it, and take a pic of it... might be scratched... and god knows where it is.
  3. hmmm i've got one in my garage collecting dust thats in close to mint condition. its plastic, so its a bit tricky to get painted/plated chrome or gold.
  4. got one of these as well... awesome phone and absolutely brilliant cameraphone compared to the rest of the LED flash phones. you can change the K800 firmware to K810 firmware, and change the case over and you'll have the new look phone. From memory all the ones that were locked to networks had the network symbol where it says "Cybershot" on the cover, so I'd say this one wasn't locked.
  5. the whole thing about dropping the skyline affiliation has some interesting attitudes on the japanese skyline BBS's... but basically what nissan's doin is elevating the GTR to a more refined status, and not just a souped up family car platform like the old skyline GTR's. The skyline lineage goes from R34 -> V35 -> V36 -> V37 (current) GT-R goes from R34 -> R35 (2007 GT-R)
  6. lmao... there's only a couple of us in that vid without an atmo BOV. mad flutterz uleh. that black car almost collected that first white R33 though... yikes.
  7. yeah new GTR is a bespoke platform for the first time ever. only a matter of time afterwards till some bodykit shop in japan comes out with the GT-R kit for the V37 though. congrats Jash... envious.
  8. FFS poite enuff's enuff. you either tell us what it is or I'll ban you.
  9. depends how badly you've bricked it? were you trying to downgrade the firmware? i've recovered a couple of bricked psp's but its mostly by fiddling around with it and reflashing. if its real bad, there's a shop on cnr high street and bell street in preston, they do modchips and electronic repairs.
  10. well this is assuming you aren't coming to australia for a year. there's 4 ways to import a car into australia: 1. car has to be built in or before 1988 2. car has to have not been available for sale locally through a manufacturer and be listed on the Specialist & Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme registry 3. Car is imported for race use using a national race/rally license (although you can't road register a car with this import permit) 4. own the car for a year in the country you live in prior to moving to australia. now what applies to you is number 4. Don't bother bringing in a skyline because every 17 year old here owns one newer than what you can get... however there are some cars which cannot be imported as they don't fall into 1 or 2... cars like the NSX, FD RX7, and pretty much any RHD euro's... because they were sold locally by manufacturers they can't be parallel imported from japan. I wouldn't bother importing any LHD cars as it'll cost a fortune to convert it to RHD and our laws don't allow for you to drive a LHD car on the road unless its over 30 years old. And if its over 30 years old it falls uner rule 1, so we can import it ourselves
  11. very right? like to the right too much?
  12. those aren't exhausts, those are the engines. /sarcasm
  13. pfft everyone knows the first mod the new GTR will cop is airvent out and a 10" monster tacho jammed in the hole it leaves.
  14. is it just me or does the concept's frontend remind you of a kabuki facepaint... or gene simmons from KISS?
  15. hehe we used to get guys come in all the time wanting to buy airboxes etc, so we just kept all the stock items in the shop and lend them out short term to go thru EPA or roadworthy.
  16. we've got all 3 in the workshop at driftline which we lend out to people to clear defects. you'll need to leave a small bond which you get back when you return it. they also fit them up for you, but you'll have to pay the mechanic for the time it takes... usually pretty quick tho, cos we just put the car up on the hoist and do it all. call 0425855540 to organise.
  17. take your car to adelaide. they can open skylines with no keys down there.
  18. hehe watching canada's import trends are like going back in time in australia by about 10 years. Anyways CONAN, you're gonna need an engineers cert in NSW showing that the car will meet braking and emissions standards for the SR20 as the national databases have data for R32's equipped with RB20DE, RB25DE, RB20DET and RB26DETT engines, but not the SR20DET. We went thru the same thing when we imported a RB20E R32 GTE under the 15 year rule and had a real fun time trying to get it registered. That said I know some guys with SR20DET ceffy's and RB20DET 180sx's who aren't engineered, so I think it's up to the motor registry what they want you to do. Other than that it will also probably need to be re-complianced to NSW safety standards (each state has different ones for 15 year old imports) which means you'll need to change the seatbelts etc as I don't think that's a requirement in Tassie. Talk to your local blue/green slip providers. You'll also need the original import certificate which you can get from DOTARS if you the seller doesn't have a copy of it.
  19. lol Paul Newman will endorse anything... he's such a brand whore.
  20. you could head down VICDrift's events they're pretty regular... in fact there's one tomorrow I think at winton. www.vicdrift.com.au I think... or PM PALADN on here, he's on the committee.
  21. this is what a car looks like without it: and the same car with it: this is for regular Series 1 from bumpers this is for regular Series 2 front bumpers
  22. I think they're all in canada. the guys there go gaga for nismo's.
  23. There's a couple of shops in australia that sell TBO copies... not ones that line up to Garage Yanack fenders tho That car looks awesome... not a fan of the Yanack Kit though... we had one come down a while back, n just disn't like the square lines on it. http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/1690
  24. hehe the running joke is that if you got a JSA car and scratched the paint, you'd get about 5 to 10 layers of totally different colours. I used to live around the corner from them, and each time I drove past them I'd realise that Nissan, Toyota, Mazda and Mitsubishi ALL have the exact same colour options on their cars.
  25. a D Class amp converts a weaker audio signal using pulse width modulation and other fancy waveform stuff... in layman's terms.. think of a normal amp as having all the components switched on all the time regardless of the frequency of the audio being amplified... a D Class amp has components that are switched on and off depending on the frequency of the audio being amplified. What this means is that its more efficient and can work with less power and generate less heat, so you can have a smaller amp that draws less power from your car, and doesn't need big or bulky heatsinks. its a bit more complex than that, but that's a sorta dumbed down version. D Class does NOT mean Digital class.
