its a twin plate from direct clutch rated for 800hp and its a solid centre one (i bought it over 3 years ago but its only done about 1600km or so), but its damn rock hard. im unsure if the vacuum assist is even workin at all. sleeving was under $100 (around $80 i think from memory) each time i got it done. so if i went and bought a stock slave it should be alot easier??? thanks guys

8 Questions On Rb26dett Rebuild ?
CruiseLiner replied to Sinista32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
the fuel in the oil might be from running excessively rich or one cylinder not firing and the fuel is washing bores and going past the rings into the sump oil. my comp test after only 500km with 272/11.35mm cams was 155psi so that under 100psi readings sound wayyy off. oil on one plug shows its not firing from memory thats my opinion, what do others think of those ideas? -
Tuned Length Exhaust Manifolds (ebay)
CruiseLiner replied to r33freely's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
theres a few wa big power gtr's running the xspower manifolds i think it is and they have made over 600rwhp without a problem and lasted longer than 12 months without a hitch. i think the first lot of china manifolds were really bad and thats y the bad rep and now they are making them alot better and seen to last very well for the minimal price tag. $300 is stuff all anyway, even if it does fall apart after 12 months its still good value. -
one bad point is the fact it dont rev like a 26, but it doesnt have to, to make the same power. each to there own, but sometimes a quick and high revving engine is a great combo different horses for different courses im planning on building a stock rb30 bottom end with a 26 head very soon for my overweight stagea. then the big revving 2.7 stroker can be put in a nice light track car for thrashing, mmm 10k rpm+

Post A Pic Of Your Stagea Thread
CruiseLiner replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
hey leshy that is the best stagea ive seen to date and looks better than the 260rs bodykit with the subtle changes u have done now wheres these series 2 taillight piccies -
i had a young idiot and his g/f in a vt commo v6 try and drag me off the lights yesterday spinnin his wheels and all to show his missus how mad his commo is, but i didnt bother as im a responsible person no actually im still runnin it in, so if i see that smart arse again when its tuned its gonna be a different story i'd only accelerate the limit of course and not break traction

i thought it was time for a few pics of everyones stageas in the one thread so post em up (not 100 pics, just 2-3 or so) terminal can u post some pics of your series 2 taillights on your car as i wanna see what they look like and i searched for the old threads but i couldnt find em. cheers Brad

i have only done a gtr box but it looks identical, and i only removed the one pin u mention and it is a tight fit on the shaft but it should come off no problem. maybe its just seized on abit, try taping it towards the rear of the box with a little screwdriver and hammer to slide it on or have u really attempted to remove it and it wont budge?

Max Hp Out Of Standard Rb25
CruiseLiner replied to LNEMUP498HP's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
good work mate dont worry about all these jeleous bitches on here, most likely there car is a r33 gts-t with a fat hybrid cooler and 10psi, woohoo, they are just shitty cause they are soo poor they cant afford a decent engine setup shibby u are a knob mate and give him a f**kin break he sounds genuine to me and im sure if he promotes a workshop he aint gonna dribble shit on the net about some car that doesnt exist his initial comments in this thread were pretty childish and abit of "bragging" but he seems to have matured and now has contributed nuthin but good info and i pitty on you shibby for acting like a 5 year old jeleous bitch cause u will never have half of what he has thats my 2c anyway, im sick of the internet keyboard bitching its what stopped me ever posting info about my jun stroker engine and the like because people always gotta have a dig and pick shit like they are god. good luck mate with the new setup and prove these morons wrong -
sounds like the bands need tightening, used to be the same on my old vl turbo auto, not fun when it slips like shit to the revlimiter everytime u put ya foot down or when it kicks down

Clutch Install Problem
CruiseLiner replied to hanyou's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
its the slave cylinder isnt travelling far enough to disengage the clutch, especially being a twin plate it needs to travel further and i got my slave cylinder sleeved to make it travel abit further and its fine now. the other option is to put washers on the pivot ball the fork pivots on to make it move closer to the engine when fully pressed. hard to explain but i had my gtr box in and out about 8-10 times in a matter of days attepting to sort the problem. (not fun when doin it at home in the garage with a trolley jack and a 1 tonne gearbox) i think u need to find a new workshop if they cant even work that out cheers Brad -
hey wildcat congratulations on the new arrival, and mr gts-t as well mines running sweet at the moment so im up for a cruise when ya all want to. i took it on a toyota cruise and got a few looks when they heard it rumbling in and the twin plate clutch rattle, they new it wasnt a stocky hoping for the power tune in the next week or two depending on how busy the tuner is when i ring them early this week. do u and brett want to meet up one arvo after work or soemthing for abit of a looksy at each others cars and abit of a chat sometime? lee (Stage-A) only lives in brighton too so im sure he would be keen to come have a look as well down at a local carpark or something for a while. cheers Brad

hey guys i got a twin plate clutch from direct clutch and it holds power no problem. its bloody noisy and rattles like i bitch which i can live with. i got a gtr master cylinder, gtr slave and its vacuum assisted, yet the clutch is f**kin rock hard to press. how do u make it easier to press? i have had the slave sleeved twice to allow more travel, would this make it easier or harder to press considering the slave has less volume now? any other options to make it daily drivable? i'd hate to be stuck in peak hour thats for sure. and no i dont need stronger legs to press it b4 u mention it surely the vacuum assistance should make it softer but it seems to do bugger all? any ideas appreciated

i drive a commo too so just remember they aint all the same, and some may have a worked rb26 stagea sitting in their garages

Eoi On Group Buy For Clear S1 Indicators.
CruiseLiner replied to qikstagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
ill grab a set of front bar clear indicators and a set of front gaurd clear indicators too. i want some series 2 taillights too depending on costs so the indicators are definate!!! and taillights only if they are cheap enough (though i highly doubt it)
