  1. te37's all the way i'd choose the r34 gtr rims over the other ones though. good luck with it mate Brad
  2. is the PWR cooler a straight fit gtr replacement??? how thick is the core?
  3. wrxhoon is right, the shifter hole is infact the tranfer case, so Matic D is used it that. ya gearbox woulda been without any oil at all, i hope u didnt do many km's
  4. i reckon they seem big because u look behind ya in the back and the interior looks heaps long, when compared to a sedan style car anyway, even if the car itself isnt any bigger externally it still feels longer. stagea has exactly the same wheelbase length as my vs commodore which is surprising. overhang at the rear is alot more on the stagea though.
  5. is it possible to extend the shielded wiring by soldering on a longer length?? (such as abs sensor wires, etc)??? since i run my wiring under the guard now the abs plug is too short so i want to cut it and add a section and rejoin it, is this gonna work??? can u buy the shielded wiring from anywhere???
  6. hey guys im currently chasing a injector resistor pack for a rb26, but its proving difficult to find one. so im thinking do any other model skylines, or nissans use the same resistor pack???? or if anyone knows anyone with one for sale let me know plz also i need the detonation sensor plugs section of the main engine harness because i got sold a harness without this bit, if anyone has one lying around. thanks Brad
  7. hey jason good work mate, ya always get people having a go at whatever you try, but thats life u shut alot of people up runnin a 10 and now u just gotta shut the rest up with a 9 haha good luck in the hunt for 9's
  8. 4wd for sure, best of both worlds. i'd only go 2wd if u plan on leaving it pretty stock standard as bigger power upgrades will mean u cant get traction as easy. so just depends on your expected power output i reckon, no point having 4wd if u only stock. i must admit with my rs four in 2wd (front driveshaft removed) with 350rwhp didnt really spin much at all, compared to the same setup in a rwd commodore which smoked tyres at any speed, any gear. must be alot better suspension designs cheers
  9. gtr's r not fun with the front diff in the way, but thats y u get a remote filter setup and i can do it without spilling a drip u gotta screw the filter on bloody quick to avoid abit of mess without the relocation kit
  10. anyone?? i need one asap as bigsully has sold his
  11. hey mate if u install a new filter just fill the filter before u install it and it will be 99% full. i was told by plenty of people including sydneykid that on a brand new rebuilt engine (thats never run) u dont even need to crank it round to get pressure, he said just start it and it will build pressure straight away. just my 2c worth cheers
  12. thanks guys, that was an awesome car, since sold onto someone in perth with the rb25det in it as shown in the last pic.
  13. dont rev the guts out of it stay under 3000rpm or so
  14. *tip* when u change your oil u dont need to turn the engine over to get pressure. maybe try reseting the ecu??? sorry dude im not much help
  15. good work luke maybe we should post what model we have as well mines a 96 series 1 rs four converted to full gtr running gear (rb26 engine, gtr manual gearbox, gtr diff, r34 brembo brakes, etc) slightly modified as well heres a little piccy i took a while back
  16. so how many owners post on these sau forums, i wonder??? about 20-30??? someone start a roll-call thread
  17. haha rofl, thats sooo true, people are dumb founded when they look at mine and hear this rumble and wonder what the f**k is that. took it to the local gearbox shop and he says "thats a bloody loud volvo" haha, i told him it aint a volvo and he is like "u r wasting your time with exhuast and stuff thats y its so loud", i didnt mention it was a gtr engine and that so he thinks its a volvo 4 banger with a muffler. bloody old bugger id love to take it back to him when its properly tuned and take him for a run in it and show him his vz ss ute is pretty slow
  18. yer i had 360rwhp rb26 in my old vl calais and since installed into a stagea. ive also had the stagea rb25 in the same vl calais as well, heres a couple of pics. rb26+2wd+commodore chassis = sideways any gear, any speed pretty much fun but bloody frustrating trying to run someone on the street when u are smokin first 3 gears and they are gone in a car with half the power. 4wd for life gotta love that engine bay with so much room compared to my stagea.
  19. weekends and after work, got a work car and a daily run about commodore for taking to dodgy areas around town, like nightclubs, etc
  20. it needs to be in seperate sections for each engine car model and turbo and non turbo sections, because the 20 pages in each section on rb20e stageas and rb25de is a pain in the arse and take forever to scan through. pretty good besides that
  21. not what the manual says, i edited the first post to include which was which. my stagea is a 4.3 ratio but an rb25det so either its a rb25de stagea originally or its got rb25de diff gears in it, thats y i thought others might want to know as many said they are all 4.11
  22. i'd love someone to find how many there are in oz that would be sweet
  23. got mine too. cheers shan make sure everyone who has bought one posts interesting info found on the cd in the other thread i started. 3200 pages isnt fun to look through to find info
  24. hey guys since most of us have a copy of this stagea jap service manual i was thinking being 3200 pages long makes it a bitch to try and find stuff, so i thought y not post up little bits of info u find when u are looking through your copy of the manual. firstly i found that stageas have 2 different diff ratios from the factory... (series 1) 4.083 for all rb25det (4wd) models, and all rb25de (2wd) models 4.363 for all rb25de (4wd) models, and rb20de (2wd) model so what interesting facts have u found???
  25. hey mate your alright, i just meant the usual WA bandwagon followers will soon come in and have their dribble and bitch. just the nature of the car scene these days i think. i have no problem with your comments rb26s13 they are spot-on the money
