  2. you shouldnt have dropped it then
  3. and who said evo's dont drift, go search for the reviews of the evo test drive on the Top Gear program and they certainly do drift bloody well, they aint no wrx 4wd
  4. theres a couple of good books around on the subject, and they explain it in heaps of detail. how to build a cheap sportscar by keith tanner i think and theres another book with all the chassis dimensions and plans called something similiar worth a read to find out whats easy and whats not i want to build one later on from scratch with a sr20det. ive found its best to buy a completed chassis to save work and engineering problems, etc then add the bits u want and go from there
  5. the comp cover on my hks t04z looks a fair size bigger than the garrett t04z's for sure. im sure when the garrett is running outta puff up top (2 bar) the hks will shine and show its true colours
  6. sounds like a ringland is broken and as said above it shows its good with a comp test, but a leakdown will show you the true reading. hope its something simple, as its an expensive process rebuilding
  7. i think attessa actually use Matic D and that power steering one is for the hicas
  8. i recon the engine is easier to remove than the dash, and ive done both plenty of times. dash has about 50 screws/bolts and when i did it i didnt know where they were which took me ages to work out, but with the stagea service manual should help fun times ahead
  9. one point to remember, the auto rb25 engines have a little bush (collar) thing in the back of the crank. which the auto shaft slides onto. well this collar needs to be removed from the crank before the manual can go on good luck Brad
  10. autometer is autogauge, but i doubt they would be made the same, and the autogauge are probably assembled in china or something to make the product cheaper. if they were identical internally why would people bother buying the autometer version?
  11. and i thought u stagea owners were mature and sensible :laughing-smiley-014: i havent seen a stagea burnout video yet 4wd donuts =
  12. thats the most awesome skyline of all time i reckon, love the quality of the finish of everything on that thing just wondering whats that little round plate on the side of the plenum for? is it a burst plate incase it overboosts?? similiar to the ones on the supercharged doorslammers, etc? that car looks like sex on wheels cheers for the pics sk, anyone got any others??? what sort of turbos were they using in those days? n1's or something bigger and better? anything equivilant to todays style turbo setups like 2530s, etc? or bigger? what sort of hp at wheels were they putting out? i remember reading over 500hp or something?
  13. ill put $50 on them being ball bearing, why would they be bush bearing??? they aint Trust turbos
  14. i got a price of $170 for a brand new resistor pack for a gtr from nissan just the other day (trade price)
  15. strangely enough my hks t04z needs a restrictor but my mates BB garrett gt30/40 doesnt need one, any reason y????
  16. im 99.9% sure they are both ballbearing, as with all the hks turbos (recent ones anyway)
  17. sweet, lets get the ball rollin, i think the dayz skirts are too plain for my liking
  18. any good side on pics of them ??? i might buy em if they are reasonable priced and look good
  19. i actually had a workshop say they would lock and password protect my maps on my autronics, and when i mentioned it to my new tuner he said they have had people that had to take the company to court just to access the ecu again, because it cant just be reset and start maping again without the password. lucky i got out of there before they did anything
  20. what gearbox is it? rb30et one or the rb25 one? rb30 is cable and 25 is electronic i think from memory i'd be betting a vl speedo drive in the rb25 box will do the trick. i used a vl turbo one in a 300zx tt 5 speed in my rb25 VL conversion and it worked fine (300zx box is an electronic one too)
  21. yer mate i got it yesterday in the mail (im subscribed so i get it ealier than the newsagents) issue 68 it is cheers
  22. does wildcats have stock suspension? swap em over for the pits if it does. i'd lend u mine but i sold my old springs and shocks (and they were apexi springs anyway) sorry i cant help mate and its gtr fronts, gts-t rears Brad
  23. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showthread.php?t=52990 thats the thread and he even tries to sound legit with a comment like this... "If any guys are concerned about dealing with someone overseas please PM Ged and ask him how I am to deal with" just noticed he is actually banned from the gtruk forums too now, hopefully no one got shafted by this arsehole
  24. that was lucky i was thinkin of buying some gear off him and decided against it. he is advertising on gtruk forums too so maybe he is trying international fraud instead. get a job and earn the cash legit and get some respect for other people
  25. the graph says t5187z x 2 does anyone know how to work out the rpm instead of kmh on that graph with the gtr 4.11 ratios? also whats the true max power potential of each turbo setup? (at the wheels, not engine)
