Japanese Stagea Service Manuals
CruiseLiner replied to funkymonkey's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
haha lol thats rounded up my thoughts exactly, sooo true surely he is just stuffin us round now after all this time and not one single reply for over a month or something. does anyone know him in person or what? i doubt he would attempt to rip people when we all know he works for j spec, but u never know these days, some people just dont have a clue how to treat customers. i think personally the whole car industry is bloody useless for keeping to schedules. ordered my pfc djetro 3.5 weeks ago and it was meant to be one week max and if i had known it was taken sooo long i woulda bought it off nengun or one of them and saved a couple of hundred bucks. dammit if u modify cars u definately cant be in a rush or on a time limit because it never ever ever works with the businesses supplying the stuff. /end rant -
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...7502&hl=booster heres a thread i made ages ago on it, but i changed my username since i got banned thats got some pics of my booster mounted (for the rb26 engine though) but i'd say the 25 would have more room than the 26 because of the 26's plenum which is mighty close. brake booster is very very very close but just enough room in the end shows some of the pedal mountings further down the page as well. good luck, and i think page 3 or 4 on this thread shows some pics from user "Argo" hope it helps Brad

Z32 300zx Transmission On Rb25?
CruiseLiner replied to DETurbine's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ive also heard they are identical, though only hear say. i had a rb25 bellhousing onto a 300zx tt box in my old vl calais rb26dett and just shortened the extra long external shifter setup and made a new hole further back to suit, though i'd not suggest that option, putting the internals into the rb25 box sounds ok if they are all exactly the same, except the back linkage area for the shifter will need the 25 stuff to suit. i found the 300zx box way easier to shift gears quicker, and the pattern seems shorter between gears when shifting. and way way smoother than my old rb30et turbo box (same as rb25 ones i think), very very nice to drive and slam gears sorry thats not much help but i thought i'd add my 2c worth -
Oil Pressure Switch
CruiseLiner replied to Nozila's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i'd assume from all the cars ive dealt with (nissans and v6 commodores) that they are usually right near or next to the oil filter assembly and have a 2 pin plug coming out of the sender. not sure if they are the same on the gen 3's but i'd think so... -
good stuff, i reckon they should ban importing stageas all together now to stop every 2nd person buying one and making them like commodores and fords on the roads the rarer the better imo

Japanese Stagea Service Manuals
CruiseLiner replied to funkymonkey's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
honestly this is getting pretty bad now, over 2 months or so and nuthin, i think we all give him a nice trader rating to get his attention -
hey cyrus u dont need to weld anything onto the car floor for the handbrake to make it stronger, just weld bigger support brackets onto the handbrake assembly itself so the bolting down areas are much bigger, and use 2 nice big nuts and bolts to hold it, trust me when its bolted on the gearbox tunnel it doesnt move an inch and doesnt distort the floor or nothing. saves stripping interior and burning all the under carpet deadener and stuff im the slackest for getting photos but ill make an extra effort to take a photo of mine with the console off to show you what i mean, soooon haha cheers

Putting A Stagea Rb25det Into My Hr32 Gts4 Auto
CruiseLiner replied to TurboX's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
hey mate ive not done the conversion u speak of, but ive done a rb26 into the stagea and the stagea rb25 into a vl commodore so ive seen both engines. the stagea rb25 uses the same sump as the rb26 and i assume the exact same one as u have on your engine at the moment, just the diff has different ratios. That means the oil pickup will be fine, and fit without hassles also. not sure about the wiring, as you could use a stagea rb25 ecu if u used the stagea auto box too, but im not sure what ecu to use with the rb20 box, though isnt the rb20 ecu's tunable and capable of running a rb25 no worries? hope it helps abit Brad -
hey guys im after a r32 gtr wiring harness for the factory ecu. send me a PM if u have one for sale and let me know price thanks

my 272/11.35mm lift jun cams sound almost like a rotor at idle, its abit over the top for daily use but does sound mean as hell

hey 600hp nice results mate, lookin good and dont worry about all the critics, if u go gt-ss's they say too small and then t88 too big, so whatever u do someone will wanna have a go at your setup. most of em just wish they had as much power as your engine. good luck with it

thanks shaun appreciate the support, as said its easy to bag when u dont do nuthin yourself and pay someone $60 an hour, but u get 100 times more satisfaction when its going and knowing all work was done at home without any workshops help also thanx rolls -

its easy yes, if i got the oil grub screws with it i woulds seen em but even with them installed now u cant see they are their and the holes are 20mm deep and the crank is totally black so even harder to see. i know more than i ever have now so all in all a good learning experience. -

i missed 3/4 of the posts as they are all deleted, so i dont know whats been said or what, but i know for a fact im not posting about my engine/car/power/etc again, cause it turns to shit. i cant say the real stuff behind the issues with workshops as i'll just end up getting banned because people dont like hearing the truth. when have i lied about the problems with the workshops? does a 3 week timeframe that ends up 12 weeks seem pretty decent to you? and then next shop says 2 weeks and ends up another 12 weeks. tuner says 15 min job but leaved the car in the workshop for 5 days? and the worst part is every week i'd ring these shops they would say yep this week for sure.. blah blah.. and in the end i picked up the parts unfinished as it was gonna drag out over the xmas holidays even. i think im just unreasonable and expect someone to finish something close to when they said, but 24 weeks for machining is pretty poor. thats almost 6 months, would you be happy if u got your job done 6 months after it was started when it was supposed to be a 5 week job? oh and i didnt owe him any money at all ken so get ya facts straight before u dribble. i had nuthin to do with it as it was between my mate and the seller. i paid every cent of the money for the gear i bought, and the agreement was he would ring me when he found the grub screws and he didnt 2 days later so i called back and hung up before the answering machine so i didnt hear no other number and he rang me back 5 min later previously when i used that original number so obviously it was still in use enough said -

i couldnt even see they were missing, but i didnt check the crank as it was untouched by the machinist so i thought paying $9000 for the crank at the time i would get the grub screws with it but i found out the previous owner didnt give em to me. the workshop u all know so well didnt mention they were not in after setting the bottom end for me, and i just bolted it together. still had oil pressure too which i dont know how. just not enough, and didnt cost me a cent to sort out so who cares, i know every keyboard machanic (in WA especially) is gonna have a dig but when u guys get off your computer and build a motor, rather than bagging people who try, ill listen. look how many goes it took you danny and u had workshops doing it for you, so for a regular person to do it and only have one problem isnt too bad is it. ill have problems, like blown gearbox and diffs, but we shall see and i think, as im sure these other "god" engine builders u all talk about have had their fair share of issues with motors. glad i saved a couple of thousand bucks and i actually know how it all goes together etc rather than being the regular WA checkbook racer as most of the built motors are, and not having a clue about it. nuthin like positive perth people -

CruiseLiner replied to StageZilla's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
put everything back in and oil pressure was the same. so we have spent ages lookin and testing the oil system and after being told it was possibly bearings or an internal leak from the system, we ripped the crank out and pulled it down to a bare block again to put water through the oil system and see where its leaking. we took the crank out and put it aside everytime, and block came up fine, no problems. so we looked at the crank and found all the oil gallery plugs hadnt been installed as i never recieved them when i bought it and they are recessed in 10mm+ so i couldnt even see their were holes as the threads started way down the holes. we have put in plugs since and oil pressure is perfect, and engine is sitting on the stand and totally back together and i am waiting for the jun plugs to put in, as i got in contact with the previous owner of the gear and he has located them and i still have to pick them up, but i might just leave it with the ones we got in as they fit perfectly anyway. engine will be in this weekend and then i still got another 700km to run in and then the big tune. 2 rebuilds in 300km, great fun they say u learn by ya mistakes, and i sure have will be well worth it in the end -
top racing is in WA, in bentley. i cant remember the address off the top of my head, Capel street i think from memory also Rob82, ive tried asking for afr graphs and got refused so i dont hold much luck for Samie, though i think they refused because my engine just detonated and cracked a piston ringland after a tune, and they were covering their backs.

call into top racing and have a chat to steve (NIB) and the other guys and they will sort u out, they are the most helpful business in the car community, thankfully theres one decent shop around, with good knowledge and they can actually solve problems and not send u home to sort them yourself.

and the workshop didnt notice this but some random mate noticed? sounds about right, i had plenty of problems with my rb26 only managing 180rwhp (on 18psi too) on the same dyno and 20 power runs later they didnt have a clue (i said to one of the mechanics/part owners to check timing and he said i qoute "set and forget") and they blamed my brand new highflowed turbos, so i got them rechecked (took engine out to get em off) and plenty of pissin around and put em back on after they were checked and back to the dyno and guess what... 180rwhp again, so luckily the same mechanic was away so i made the other one check the timing after a bit of pleading as he obviously thought it was also abit too dificult to even bother, and it was out by 20 degrees and he fixed the timing and then it got 350rwhp. they dont like picking up tools when tuning i noticed on every single occasion i was there. my old mans supercharged commodore had a slipping supercharger belt and they didnt even bother to try and tighten it, and instead tuned it on the low 5psi and let it slip at higher revs. slack is all that describes it. just my experience , dont beleive the hype, beleive the work u actually have seen, as plenty of people open their gob and reccomend before they even use workshops.
