hey sydneykid, just a couple of questions, now that im actually able to drive my car for the first time with the new suspension, its really really stiff, and ive got both front and rear on the highest circlip possible, which is 350mm front, 360mm rear. how tight does the main top nut on the shocks have to be? ive got like 40mm of threads hanging out the top of the nut. can u adjust the stiffness at all? it handles awesome and sooo responsive when steering around bends, just i cant rev it past 4k so i cant give it heaps just yet.

hey sydneykid just off topic abit but my rb26 running an n1 water pump and it never ever gets over 1/2 on the temp gauge even after an hour on the dyno, though only light tune to 4000rpm, well see on the proper tune. what point rpm range does it not work correctly? low rpm i'd imagine? i know the blades inside are huge in comparision to my stock old pump. thanks Brad

Jun 2.7l Stroker Build Underway (hks T04z)
CruiseLiner replied to StageZilla's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
diff out at the moment, and gearbox is coming out on the weekend, should be back together next week hopefully, as the diff is clunking and the gearbox is whinning badly. gotta go Brad -
heres a pic of a 32 gtr one, not sure what the 33's r like, but i know for sure the width of the cradle compared to the gtr and the length of axles r different to gtr's, and shocks r on a different angle all together. that arm looks exactly the same as the stock stagea ones anyway so should be fine, unless they are made with the same bends to clear the shock as a gtr and then it wont fit. only one way to find out sorry the pic is soo big..

no hills near my house which is a shame, but i might go for a cruise upto the hills sometime soon (80km away or so)
-
hey mate is that the main top arms that have a big O shape for the shock to go through? cause they dont fit as the shock hits em, as i tried putting the ones from a gtr rear cradle, so i used the stock stagea ones again which are just a str8 piece with a few curves on it.

hey guys i need a oil pressure sender unit for my rb26, i need the one from the original rb25 engine to suit my dash, except i sold the bloody thing with the engine itself, so my low oil pressure light doesnt work. so i want to buy another one, and ive got a r32 gtr unit, but unsure if its the same part no. as the rb25 unit for the stagea? can someone check in the fast program and see if the gtr's use the same oil sender (mounted under plenum) so i can use that one? or give me the part no. of the stagea one. thanks alot Brad

R32 Gtr Single Gt35r. Apexi's De-jetro A Good Choice?
CruiseLiner replied to rb30gtr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
anyone got a pic of the mounted map sensors for the djetro ecu? is it actually onto the plenum itself or the metal part bolted on top of the tb's and has the wiring box on top of it? cheers -
Jun 2.7l Stroker Build Underway (hks T04z)
CruiseLiner replied to StageZilla's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thanks for the replies guys, it is being tuned at Top Racing, and steve (NIB) was extremely helpful, and managed to sort out all my little problems throughout the tune and start up. most proffesional shop i've dealt with and i plan on using them again for the final tune, highly reccomended and u guys know how fussy i am with all the problems at other shops. also the autronics ecu/cdi unit/boost controller and msd coils are all going up for sale so i can buy a power fc djetro or maybe just a normal pfc, but not 100% sure which one yet. autronics is good, but no one in perth is worth using to tune it so its gotta go. thanks again to steve and the Top Racing guys for the good work cheers Brad -
coilpacks should fire no matter what position its in, i just did mine yesterday with it unbolted and hanging around and fired fine so worth a double check.

thanx for the support, i cant rev it past 4k anyway cause the revlimiter is set to 4k and it just bounces off it if i try and rev it. goes really really good even upto 4k it pulls pretty good. its back off the road as of this afternoon, the bloody diff is clunking as the shim thicknesses were not setup properly when i installed it 12 months ago and its annoying the shit out of me. diff is out and ready to be checked tommorow after work and then reinstall it. next is the transfer case which is whinning like a bitch and is even more annoying, so that will come out this weekend possibly or maybe after i do the 1000km. done 160km or so, so far. i drive another work vehicle so i dont drive until later in the arvo after work so i dont do many km's. i wanna sort these problems b4 i go racking up too many km's and causing long term damage to the diff/gearbox/etc. cheers again Brad

hey ams, im not really interested in a full kit at the moment and for atleast another couple of months minimum, as i need soo many bits and pieces that are more important. any chance of a price for just the side skirts and a good pic of the side skirts if possible (besides the pic on the monkey warehouse site)? thanks mate Brad

cheers guys and the screamer pipe doesnt even have a use at the moment being under 4psi of boost (max rpm i can do is 4k) yes i built the motor, theres a thread in the forced induction section from my old nickname "stagezilla" and its called "building the jun 2.7L stroker" or something like that, hundreds of pics of the build and the dramas of it all, but welllll worth it in the end thanks Brad

R32 Gtr Single Gt35r. Apexi's De-jetro A Good Choice?
CruiseLiner replied to rb30gtr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hey topaz they dont open or close at all, its only a little peice of metal hangin from the afm in the airs path that detects the heat and flow and thats it. when disconnected causes no restriction as its about the thickness of a couple of hairs. -

CruiseLiner replied to toxic's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
hey tangles u r just getting em mixed around mate, bigger longer ones at the rear and the short stumpy ones on the front -
got my stagea running today and it runs awesome, nice and lumpy idle, starts making boost at just over 2k rpm and 130rwhp at just under 4000rpm (revlimit at the moment). cant wait for the real tune and some real boost happier than a pig in shit thats the motor runs sweet and no problems few gearbox and other issues but thats not a big deal over all cheers Brad

Jun 2.7l Stroker Build Underway (hks T04z)
CruiseLiner replied to StageZilla's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hey guys well finally i dont have to dribble shit and say its nearly running, cause today it got tuned and revlimit of 4k rpm for the run in, and she runs absolutely sweet as, sounds real lumpy, and i cant wait to put some more boost into it. just got to pull the gearbox out soon as its whinning its head off and gotta check whats the problem. besides that no trouble at all. made a whopping 130rwhp at just under 4k rpm, and around 5psi of boost at the same rpm, so its gonna haul awesome without much lag starts making boost at just over 2k rpm good times ahead for a change thanks alot to everyone who has helped and especially sydneykid answering my pm's every second day almost with detailed informative replies. cheers again Brad -
spotted silver stagea rumbling along around perth, and it was me for the first time in 8 months, she runs a treat
-
id be thinking about a gtr diff/axles/uni joints conversion too with 400hp. mine snapped an axle in half with only 350rwhp.

hey gzzmos nice ride, and engine bay. just a little thing i noticed is that power steering resoviour (sp?) wont last long sitting next to the turbo i'd imagine. i mounted mine next the the passenger side headlight and next to the air con gas canister thing. besides that it looks mint. what turbo is it? gt35? with the wiring, my engine harness contained alot more wires than just engine stuff, like passenger side fender indicator, abs plugs, and a couple of other things. unfortunately mine was chopped by someone else so i didnt take notice of what all the extra chopped wires are from i now have hanging around mines an autronics, and the attessa is wired up also which i can tell people the correct wires to use, but only once i test it and make sure 4wd is working correctly good luck

Japanese Stagea Service Manuals
CruiseLiner replied to funkymonkey's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
hey funky i need abit of info or a screen grab if ya can, of the fuel pump relay (mounted on drivers side under kick panel) and wiring to the pump in the tank, i also think it runs to the engine ecu as well. its a black wire with a yellow stripe (its the main power to the fuel pump). let me know if u find any diagrams of relevance cheers -
hey AMS, how much cheaper is it without the rear wing? as i dont need one, and i only need the side skirts and front and rear bars. damn i need more money haha, gotta spend 3k in the next few weeks on some other important issues on my stagea so after that if everything else doesnt fail suddenly i might be up for it i'll let ya know when im ready anyway
