Just wondering if anyone has tried the Hankook Ventus RS-2 Z212's. The tyre supplier who I usually get my tyres from was explaining today that they are a semi slick, but further investigation to me looks that they are more an aggressive street tyre, rather than a semi-slick. I'm about to start entering my car into track days, I hardly drive it on the street, so I'm wondering if these would be a good tyre for me to buy, or should I buy what I seem to think is a proper semi slick?

Well I spoke with the tyre guy that I buy my tyres from, and he suggested if I were to go for street I should use Toyo T1R's, although he seems to recommend the Kumho semi slicks (I think they were V70a) instead. Im seriously thinking about the semi's.

Listen to the guys voice when he talks, it sounds like its some form of arabic

Yeah those Michelin's seem quite good from what I have read. What price range you think they'd fall into? (235/40/18)

Also forgot to add, I have Kuhmo Ecsta SPT's on the front with heaps of tread

I'm currently in the process of setting my car up for my first track day in January, and I currently need new rear tyres quite badly. I want to try a track day with street tyres first, because if I don't like it, I don't have a wasted $1600 bill from buying semi's. What tyres would you guys suggest?
