  2. bendix have had a problem with the pads unglueing themselves off the back of there pads(i have credited quite a few off them in the shop i sometimes work at)An inconvienience and quite a bit of a safety concern to say the least .....i have never heard off this happening with genuine units........as for race brakes stuff i have used them once and i didnt like them (noisy,dirty and chomped the disc out)i dont know about the green stuff ones....I had a GTS years ago and i never had any problems with having to pump the pedal or brake fade or anything like that... i just beleive that there is a hell of a lot of R&D in japan and i stand by japanese products.....

Maybe i am anal but i believe that the japanese built a fantastic car...you should back a fantastic japanese car with fantastic japanese parts!Not to mention the japanese aftermarket brakes like endless ect...i have these fitted to my car and have seen other products not work as good or wear out fade ect on friends cars.....Just my thoughts!
  5. yes i would buy them at that........although there may be some people here that disagree with me on the following statement----->I wouldnt personally use ANY australian made mechanical parts on my car.....go for the genuine parts at that price
  6. db 1170 is the front pad number....altough i reckon that price you got from nissan is good if they are genuine parts....very good in fact....i would go for it if they are

  8. he has worked on a few....but skylines are not the be all and end all models you know....many panel shops call sam in for painting there prestige stuff like mercs ect....he has done some show stuff as well as some stuff on my 34...he is in brooklyn

  12. I have done many Intrusion bars on those old mercs....there a bit of a head ache coz of the vaccum central locking solenoids....

  14. usually a blocked cat will show up with very slow picking up of vacumm so blip the throttle and see how fast your vacumm needle or the 3d hand set gains...
  15. oh i just remembered i have a wiring diagram for all the GTRs including the 34...Its in japanese but can translate the approriate bits for you and fax it over of something... i pmed you my phone number

Hmmm mark do you have the original key for your car?I am just wondering if someone has fitted the earlier ecu it wouldnt have the facility for the body control module(of which you already know!)But hooking up a standard type(or power FC intended for the R34 with the facilitys for imobiliser wiring ect..)the transponder or lack of transponder will picked up via the BCM and send the cut signal to the R34 ECU...if you got the key look on the end and see the red tab...pry it out with a stanley blade and check if the transponder is present... I know i am not really answering your questions but hope this helps
  17. hmmm i fitted one in mine and it started first go...the only problem i had was the engine check light comes on.....mark if you plug in the commander does it light up and come on air?I dont know about that jay...i didnt disable it on mine and it worked...although i have the boost controller i didnt hook it up and it still ran

  21. well yes and no ....originally the product is layed in the mould so the carbon layer on those other bonnets hits the mould face 1st the backlayed with chopped strand glass..so when you pop it out the mould you see the 1st layer on top..on glass objects gelcoat is applied to the mould fist then backed with glass...therefore gelcoat is the top layer...you could lay 1 layer of carbon over the top of this but it would most likely result in the need to build the surface up with resin to cover the rough carbon texture then blocked flat...a real arse ache....you would grow old and grey doing it this way
  22. i have the mould for R34 but its GTR he would need the front bar... even then i dont know if the fenders will meet up...although i have the moulds for those as well....mine are solid carbon units but i sure as hell wouldnt sell for that price...the material cost about that
  23. that my friend IS a GT2530 from a GTR....it will have a 2 bolt pattern on the compressor outlet(094housing)....3 bolt pattern are GTS and Silvia housings....
