  1. Damn! i still have my $40.00 deposit that he has awaiting his arrival??? sometime??? Anyone know him or got his mobile number so they can call him??
  2. Really dont mean to whore your thread mafia, but dale these castings are available over in the states its just the short availability over here in aus that makes the limiting factor, Imaging the capabilities of this setup with say a twin scroll housing say a/r of .82 (maybe too small) 1.12 T04Z the full function of its capabilities would be able to be made earlier in the peace, rather than how it is now but with the main market of looking at 2.2g US for a twinscroll manifold from full-race say 1500US for the turbo then in aud 600 each wastegate x 2 piping from turbo to cat with full plumb of waste, Say 1000 AUD Although the price we are looking at is upwards of 6.5 G aud already, In the long run it would work extremely well but for price you pay for ultimate power you can do much better with cost wise with just the single waste better manifold and piping say for 4g.... Ive only really seen the benefits in text form of what they have achieved over the US, i could not gain a dyno chart from there system, Part from added benefits of much or as they say "Instant" spool up from there turbos and much beefier torque levels out of them with increase in power.. Wanna sponsor me in this setup id love to try it out, but the added cost factor is extreme, not only that it doesnt yet include dyno time and tuning to gain the full potential of the setup.
  3. I have got to aggree with the twin scroll system, the only downside to this setup is the extreme costs involved, being divided manifold running two wastegates for it and the machining to required to plumb all this into an exhaust pipe, unless it is drag spec related. The benefits would be substantially great as far as i can gather on freshalloy both in power delivery torque and spool up, But unfortunatley if only there was more of a market over here in australia for them the cost is high. For such older technology im curious to why there is no better market for it yet??? Would be interesting bringing this more into the market for the benefits everyone can grab hold of. Plus there is very limited discussion of these types of setups over here as well
  4. If you were to put an egt sensor on each exhaust runner i spose you could tune each individual cylinder esp those ones that run leaner due to the air distribution Refered to the front face mod to standard rb25 plenum
  5. bore and stroke is 2.8L what piston are you going to use with them?
  6. noels just going through one of them old time frustrating moments where he forgets where he left his glasses last
  7. Wooohoo the YEN price is over 100 hmmmm if only i had more money...
  8. What about older women noel
  9. Dooooo it, i recon that is a fair go of a bargain what brand is it?
  10. Yep reall BOV well one that recirculates or "plumbs back" into the intake after the afm and before the compressor, problem solved, although it can be tuned out aswell but as mentioned recirc is easier
  11. Not really the pump itself installed higher than the stock pump, its just the pickup on the pump isnt low enough in the tank, Not real gread especially if going around a corner to fast and it runs out of fuel, just open her up and check where the fuel pickup is located and move it further down towards the back of the tank. If that doesnt help i dunno
  12. Id go for what the/your tuner recomends running, ie: 7psi should do it or maybe 10psi but id talk to your tuner on what he recommends it wouldnt even hurt to list the ammount of k's you have at the moment as well, yes it all comes down to tune but one thing you have to take into effect is age/life the motor has done already, yes it has been proven already big hp can be had with stocko motors with the right tune in affect many times over, then again, it also has been well in my case it happened it went bang well the little end baring did on a basic 11psi with a hks 3037 turbs with 130 on the clock, although i did get a compression/leakdown done before i went ahead they turned out pretty good but still it let go. I guess time will tell with what will happen when you take the path and bolt it all on any way, but at the end of the day it never hurts to budjet for those quote "Shit happens" moments in life Talk to your tuner, hopefully a reliable tuner and just say what you have what you want ie "Safe and conservative tune, with power but mean time reliability" what he recommends etc etc..... and good luck. Most engine breaks stock of non stock usually come down to the tune in most cases, but doesnt safe guard from unexpected things that happen along the way. Cheers A
  13. to skip taxes you can always request the "gift" amount to be under 1000 on the EMS certificate that they use to send them to us cheap but can be costly if they go missing
  14. Just to add check here for better info: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t3540&st=50 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...4&hl=gt3540 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...3&hl=gt3540 Thats a start you know the rest
  15. I think the matter of this was to ascertain what mods people have with this type of setup and what power is being produced with it, not the "should i, shouldnt i" scenario, although the provide information that people have placed here is a good starting point which could have easily been researched through the FI section of this forum. He was only trying to gather what "POWER" is able to be made out of the setup. The turbo itself is rated at around the 700ps value or good enough for about 400+ rwkws with the right setup in mind to go with it, hence this turbo is best suited to a 25 or 26/30 hybrid engine for proper benefits to be held. Your best bet is to check the FI dyno results to gather a better opinion on power to mods ratio, rather than ask as the flaming that people get is always going to be there no matter what. Also best bet on a side note is to get this topic moved into the FI area as its more specific to that are than the QLD section of the forums, Plus note "....just a question to all the people who have a garrett gt3540 on their rb25 " Good luck with that Cheers A Oops forgot one thing power will also be determined by the a/r on the exhaust side of the turbo ie: .63 .68 etc this will also be the determining factor of LAG, as well as depending on internal or external gate.
  16. yeah does anyone know when silent is coming back, he said 1 month been a tad longer than that now?
  17. Legally i dont thing you can sell the car unless the defects have been cleared by the DOT, once they clear them all up they then write you a nice little file display for your number plate record and your on your way, Then you can sell the car!... It would be like selling the car which has unpaid fines whatever they are on it.
  18. x2 for pm or email me pictures please of plenum Cheers A
  19. Better off getting an inner muffler along the way, ditch the cannon and go a better dual muffler at the end of it or add a resonator along as well, much better options take your pick. Good luck with that Cheers A
  20. Aaron is there a limit imposed on how many cars running on the day, probably best to set up a list, Damn two dyno days for june
  21. NA engines usually have a higher compression than turbo engines, id say get it looked at by a mechanic, it wouldnt hurt to have a compression and/or leakdown done on it at least this may give a little comfort as well. Also there is a couple of things you could check, intercoolet piping and joiners. Good luck with it
  22. In like flyn, better reserve me a spot Col,
  23. Its interesting to view your result happening as mine on about 16.7 psi is only running 221 rwkws, Dyno figures i tell ya there a curse, mind you with a slightly larger hks 0.68 housing with the same wheels and trim as your turbo well hks 3037 ProS anyway, Does water/meth increase power and torque that substantially? Must have a look at this sytem :S Main diffence is that mine is a Series 1 33 Interesting though ill keep an eye on this thread. Good luck with that actuator too Cheers A
  24. Yo mafia try here for that actuator, it is IW isnt it http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=161490 Quoted a 1 bar actuator hks
  25. or goto control panel administrative tools, then goto services sort by name locate RPC "Remote Procedure call" and one at a time for the locator first screen select manual in start up type, then in recovery tab select for all the failure tabs take no action, and for the RPC (blank) leave start up type alone goto recovery tab and same thing for the failures and apply and ok, then goto http://www.autopatcher.com/downloads/ then download your relevant updates, Thankyou
