Let's See You Answer This One...genius'
Devils_Advocate21 replied to Munkyb0y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
boost guages are not acurate at all, also length of vacuum hoses may make some difference aswell, and guages are only a guide not a real representation of what the hell is going on, if you wanted results dyno it then see how acurate the guages are, compared to dyno result of boost, plus dont forget the error that may be seen from reading at an angle, same as if passenger looks at your speedo from an angle it will look different to what it really is, same as if you go by your speedo guage then your stupid as 99.9% of them are in accurate. My opinion on this Not only saying that, how do you know there isnt the slightest leak in one of the vacuum to guage hoses??? :S -

AFM PLUG SOLD CAT CONVERTER SOLD TURBO HEATSHIELD(( ON HOLD TILL TUESDAY)) New AFM price $100.00 ono Comeon theres heaps more to go Cheers Adam -
You take the risk you pay the price, easier and less stuffin arround to just get a high flow cat bolt it on drive away, if you cant do it yourself well give me $50.00 and ill do it for you, on another note, id like to see results of performance gains of hollowed cat with pipe vs one of batmbl's 5" metal highflow cat, and on another note the time you have to spend on cleaning your rear bar of all the soot and crap, aswell as putting up with that lovely lovely smell, you way the sums up its not that hard, especially with a street car, And on another note, those lovely lovely defect and fines and stuffing around from doing one home job punch out of your cat vs the once off fee. Come on people how many times does this have to be covered before people actually work it out My opinion Cheers

Pocket Tray on hold for sau member -
Well in that case yes it will bolt straight on there, as my 3037 pro s did, the only thing you will have to worry about is the dump pipe/front pipe to cat position and most likely going to have to custom on, part from that good luck, i think thats the answer you were after? and of course you do know that you have to change the lines part from that it does bolt on Thankyou adam

Loud Ticking And Exhaust Leak From Engine Help!
Devils_Advocate21 replied to keong's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
just do it yourself its fun, make sure you allow for broken studs, i dont think autobarn sell the gaskets unsure, but you can either go down to the local nissan for $105.00 or source the cheaper just as good option for around 60 bucks, goodluck and have fun. mind you probably not best to do it yourself it is pretty hard and lengthy, unless you good to experiment and have time on your hands. -
Must say have mounted my hks 3037 pro s with a 68 housing and the problem you might have as ive got at the moment and its a prick but mind you on standard stock manifold is the dump pipe to front pipe fitting maybe just me but the angle isnt quite rite make sure if your going to do it test fit dump and front to make sure of clearances Cheers a

Spraying C02 Directing Into Airintake Pipe
Devils_Advocate21 replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Go with nos less hassel much cheaper less stuffing arround, and plus wouldnt adding a sleeve on the ic piping cause some serious condensation side the ic piping? it should do as your car isnt just sucking in O2 out of the are theres alot of other matter like water molecules and also nitrogen, must take into affect the moisture issue raised with a CO2 sleeve on IC piping i say. Good luck otherwise and atleast money for those just in case moments Cheers -
My Project 33 Gtst
Devils_Advocate21 replied to Devils_Advocate21's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I dunno, allwell updates are as follows, pulled everything off today left and right side of motor. Injectors, rail manifold turbo, lines front/dump pipe, replaced the manifold studs awaiting the gasket from 3lit3_32 (aka Dan) tommorow and should have everything bolted back together by tommorow evening, I have to admit its an experience of a life time when ya first do a job like this, especially thos broken manifold studs and removing the fuel rail for the injectors. Will take some pics when the job is done, HOPEFULLY with no bolts missing or left over cough cough i hate when that happens. But so far so good. For those noting on broken manifold studs, Im too lazy to do this part myself also noted do not have the tools to do it mind you. But if you are in the brisbane QLD region Thread Tek are the way to go (1300 THREAD) they may take all afternoon to get there, but 15 minutes for them to remove 3 manifold studs well worth it. Only problem $99.00 to remove those 3 studs, awell had to be done thanks guys. Also Lees exhaust on moss street, $1.00 per manifold stud being the M10 x 1.25 pitch 50mm and 50c per nut, well worth it beats repco anyday for those parts. Also must thank Dan (3lit3_32) for his assistance so far and being able to get parts at a hard to beat price hope i can add that. Anyway that is all and will keep you guys posted Cheers and out Adam
