  1. Kind of related to the topic. There is a twin trust T67 kit up for sale for 6k includes turbos, manifold, waste gate, down pipes, oil/water lines, twin entry trust drag intercooler and pipes from turbos to intercooler. They have been rebuilt and are in good nick. I am really keen to get rid of my 7685 kit and get that. I remember hearing and seeing that kit on Kier Wilson’s R32 when he ran 8s. These things look amazing and sound insane. They would spool ok to on a 3.2 with a sequential on e85. Looking specs, they flow up to 750hp each.
  2. Great result. Well done. Always amazes me how well the RB heads flow. I mean, the build list is so simple and this thing will kill 99% of production exotics.
  3. I didn’t get any of that. The tyres chirped when I did tight turns. Maybe it was the tyres or the auto with a higher (3500) stall.
  4. Are you running one? Which brand? I used to have one in my BA XR6T and it wasn’t too bad. I guess it up to the individual.
  5. Speedtech make upgraded axles to any specs so that’s sorted. Looking at going DSS carbon driveshaft. I’ll probably run OS diff at the front. I keep getting told to service the rear diff and leave it until it lets go because they are very strong. I’m considering going full spool though as the car will be for drag and roll racing mostly and they are the best for even power delivery and strength. Apparently they are ok on the street accept for tight low speed turns (mostly parking).
  6. By far the most exciting day of the build. Filled the car full of parts and its going on a truck on Wednesday to finally get put together. Maybe I should start a poll on what the first and the final hub power figure will be.
  7. Loving the stories and opinions. Seen some dynobresulys go up to. Mine is finaly going into the workshop and hope to see some results end of march.
  8. I just had mine rebuilt by the team at The Skyline Shed. They did an amazing job. Very good to talk to also.
  9. I half agree. I bought my gtr 15 years ago and even in Perth there was some sort of event on every other week. Dyno days, show and shine, cruises or just workshop BBQ. It's been over 5 years since I have been to any of those. As I see it, there are 3 reasons for the change. Main reason is us. Reason 1. I am not 25, I am 40. Shortly after buying the gtr I met a girl who became my wife. I agreed to put the car on hold to sort out the wedding, house, kids. Very quickly that hold was 10 years. I now have a better job. She also has a better job. We know how to save and budget. Time is worth more to me than money. I know enough about my car to be able to pull it apart and probably build it again with help from my mechanic friends but I don't have the time (or tools or space). Plus it's my unicorn. It's my THE CAR. I will most likely never own a European hyper car. I'm ok with that. Built right, my gtr will be faster then any if them. That's why it's the car for me. Built right is the key. Reason 2 I hate my self for saying it. COVID. People are pulling triggers on hobbies. There is nothing else to do. So if I need something to look towards. When this is finaly past us I don't want to feel like I have been in hibernation. I want to have done something. So yeah my 600whp streeter has mutated into a 1200whp freak. It may be harder to drive (time will tell). But when I kick it in the guts it will kick me right back and I will never forget it. So I will spend more of my savings, postpone the holiday and look forward to something that won't be restricted by a mask. Reason 3. Laugh all you want. Fast and Furious. I was in inaloo on the opening night of the first film. They had promo girls, characters from film and riced up cars right in the lobby. Not a single guy took a photo with a girl in the mini skirt. The line to see the cars with neon lights and polished turbos was epic. Everyone who had a japanese brand car was getting exhausts and neons and stereos and wheels and decals. It planted a seed that atleast for me, never died. It was the right movie, at the right time for the right crowd. Next 2 weren't as ground braking but it was still about cars. Then, it wasn't. It was another action flick with cars in it. We stopped catching up as much, we didn't cruise as much. We grew up and changed. I half disagree. I have been a member here for a few years now. Not once have I been told "do a search, it's been covered, stupid question." I'm know I have asked stuff that has been covered buts always evolving, new people, new ideas, new tech, new views and more experience. Yes, people post less (more dyno results please). Content is still great and so are the members.
  10. Considering the money I'm putting into the build and my power and performance goals, I would like to go for new centres if possible. Just trying replace as much 30 year old load bearing parts as possible. Nismo quaife only seem to make s2 r32 centres.
  11. hard to believe that out thousands of skyline owners on this forum every one is waiting on stuff and no one has hit the rollers in the last 6 months.
  12. It's a shame if the best part of owning a skyline is dying off. It's never been easier to make power. You read the first few pages and see how much effort it took to double your cars output then to now. It's staggering how far performance parts and tuning has come. 600hp+ is run of the mill now.
  13. What do you mean by harsh? Sorry, don't have allot of experience with front LSDs.
  14. Are people not doing any dyno work anymore or just not posting results anymore? Haven't seen any updates at all in months. I love reading the combos and the results. Reaching out to people, asking more questions. Would be great to see those stickies show up in bold again. Post some updates. This is what a forum is all about. Isn't it?
  15. Went T4 Gen2 7685. Staying 3.2. Managed to speak to some CRD and Matouks customers who use a very similar combo to mine. 3.2/7685 some head spec variations. They say that you have to pull timing out of mid range to save bearings. Have heard (not seen) 1200hp+ hub results with my size exhaust housing. Speaking of, no one seems to post dynobrests any more. That was one of my favourite past times. Reading all the combos and results. Thank you everyone for your input. It always helps.
  16. I have an early R32 gtr. So my LSD options are limited. Cusco make both front and rear lsd for early R32 gtr. They are quite cheap also. Has anyone used cusco lsd? For drag/roll racing, what arrangement would suit best. 2 way both front and rear? Goal is an 8 second time slip. Thank you. Ps. Car will be used for cruise street duties also. No circuit though.
  17. Lol. Never does. I had a 20-30k budget for a refresh. 600whp, 10sec Street weapon. 100k later......
  18. I have had a number of people tell me that os88 is very rough and old school. Maybe. Plenty of people have run 8s on them and still use them daily. Plus you can pick them up for less then a 6 speed getrag and it will fit straight in. Im just waiting to put everything in. My builder has had some staff and booking issues. Was meant to be running it in now and racing in Feb. May make it to Cooda in April. Have you got a build thread here?
  19. Transfer case all rebuilt and on its way to Perth. That's the last of the parts until I do the axles, diffs and shafts later in the year. Once again a huge thank you to The Skyline Shed.
  20. Sounds like an awesome project. Good luck with it mate.
  21. I agree. Comes with gannets drain plug. I also got to -10 an weld on fittings. For head drain and catch can drain.
  22. Hello everyone. My last part arrived today. Garage101 9L sump extension. Looks pretty good. Nice finish. Baffles have cosworth rubber one way gates which can't jam like metal ones.
