  1. I had a mate recently go to the US and rent out a z06... Just by going on what he said, it didnt handle to save itself. Prehaps he was wrong, I doubt it as he drove it around for a week, and when hes here he owns a 02ish commodore, but feh. There yank tanks that will never be availible here. I dont really get why we dont import more, I mean we import enough grey imports from japan right? But you never really see much in the way of yankee cars. Not that I mind, I dont really like them.
  2. The other night I was driving home after a milk run when 4 drunkn ass-hats tried to stop me, screaming some bullshit about holden being australian (hmm... i guess ford is too then?) and me being a rice lover. It happens alot, theres too much aggression in this country.
  3. any help here? Im kinda desperate, need to diagnose. It sounds horrid if you try and reverse...
  4. This is the thing about yank cars, all you seem to care about is how fast you can make it go in a straight line.... Cars have steering for a reason. Its a wounder people dont just replace drag strips with rails and race trains?
  5. Umm no, once its engaged its fine, only when the clutch comes out or is on its way out or isnt fully engaged (slipping the clutch) will it do this. if the clutch is completly disengaged or completly engaged the car drives without an issue.

I'll chase it up over the weekend, I dont have a good chunk of what was taken by our camera as the battery died before I could pull it off and it wasnt my camera, so jarrad's got it. He may be away however, he spends alot of time interstate :S
  7. Well that was nice of him. Backing out of a confirmed sale. Bah.
  8. dude what happened to you? You just disappeared...

    Gtr R35

    oh im there.
  10. Hmm yeah, tough spot your in. Id be chasing the workshop up for insurance. I highly doubt anyone would willingly rob themselfs of whatever they paid for the goods, even if they knew they were stolen. Unless theres a way for them to get their money back, I dont think you stand much of a chance. Best of luck however man.

Hey this isnt the best place for this, but just quickly, whats the difference between a onevia and a sileighty?
  12. I'll pass the link on, cheers.
  13. The thing is at the end of the day nissan will still sell every single R35 GTR they can get there money-hungry paws on. So who cares if a few are grey imported, theres only so many made a month anyway, and the aussie allotment of thoes is going to be pathetically small.
  14. Just curious, what did/are you going to you pay for the 260RS?
  15. Pics? Might make a good daily for someone I know...
  16. ill be out there watching.

not bad! but your cameraman is shocking...
  18. A group of guys I can do, but this may wind up being done on a hoist. What I need to know is if im looking in the right place...
  19. In theroy, for someone to import one, someone has to sell one second hand in japan. The waiting list for one is far too long to just rock up and buy one with the sole intention of shipping it overseas. Therefore nissan is missing out on a sale if a second hand one is baught here in australia rather then another one being baught new from a dealership. While this 2nd hand vehicle would probably be baught anyway in japan, this is besides the point. But I have this to say to nissan: DONT SEND THE NINJAS! ps how awesome are my MS paint skills?

Jarrads still got most of them, his camera battery died before we could get most of them off which is why this is all I have. Next time I see him ill grab some more.
  21. Hmm A hand would be nice in at least diagnosis, I dont want to have to take the gearbox off only to find it wasnt the throwout bearing at all...
  22. hahaha what are these for kurtley?
  23. Hi All I have a feeling my throwout bearing on my 90 GTR has gone. Its making a strange noise when being launched, if I even attempt to slip the clutch it sounds like a giant dragging concrete along on the ground. It can be heard here: just as the car launchsI think its the throwout bearing. How do I fix it? Whats required to get the gearbox off? Is it back-yardable at all or would I be better off saving up until I can afford to pay a workshop to do it? Regards Ian
  24. Been chasing you to arange pickup of the BOV mate, havent been able to get a reply on pm?
  25. Is the tune specific to the car it was tuned for? 300kw is too much to ask for out of the stock turbos and other parts.
