More like you agreed to sell it to me then reneged at the first opportunity you got. We had a deal mate. At no point did I say I wasn't going to buy it, just because I missed your call is a piss-poor excuse to pull out of it.
-
pm me your msn address beezlebub we will talk. Im not particually looking to sell right now (infact im about to start modding again) but if the offers reasonable we might be able to come to an aggreement

Workshop Feedback Forum

Cheers I have registered the domain and setup a basic forum, waiting for the DNS to propagate and have had some help writing up a disclaimer etc, also need to do some other small things then it should be underway. I haven't laid out a huge outlay for hosting etc yet, we will see if the idea takes off before I invest more money into it. -
Im sure mark will sort everything out, hes generally pretty good. As to that other thing, we will have to wait and see. I reckon it'll be right tho, but we really shouldn't de-rail this thread.
-
Fair enough cheers for the input, that should still at least make a dint in what its going to cost me. Im probably going to retain the stock rail now after talking to EFI again and go to a side feed injector, sard 800's which should allow me to retain the stock reg as well and save me some money there, and either a bosch 040 or Walbro 255L in-tank pump Aiming for at least 350 bhp (prehaps more, we will see what the AFM's allow) /w R34 N1 turbos
-
Quote that I have from EFI ditches the fuel rail to go with a larger one to accommodate a different cheaper style of injectors. I was kind hoping to get more by selling it as a complete upgrade package for something like a RB20 tbh
-
Im sure id tell the difference very quickly once I inspected the car for sale. Namely the RB25, lack of AWD, lack of brembos and the list goes on. Hmm How much cash?
-
Intrested in your 040. How hard to put this pump into a 32 GTR, where could I get the parts and bracket required as you state that this does not come with one. Should there be no major problems fitting it then I will take it.
-
Hi everyone Just chasing some info on how much I could get if I sold as a complete package the stock injectors, fuel rail, fuel regs and fuel pump from my 32 GTR? I'm considering upgrading and need to factor this into my budget. Regards Ian

Shot down unfortunately by the mods, I'm working on creating my own website that's dedicated to reviewing car workshops and providing a place for discussion, feedback and also dialog between workshops and customers.

Workshop Feedback Forum

I do understand mate. I just think that your maybe being a bit over-protective. A few interesting reads for you: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4320011 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4319931 Anyway I dont want to get into an argument, your an admin on this forum and its not exactly a fair playing field. I have stated my case, you told me no, make your own forum and I will. Regards Ian -

well, okay, I've been thinking about creating a website for workshop reviews for a while now anyway. Believe it or not, but I already understand a thing or two about web hosting etc, im in my final year at QUT doing a Bachelor of IT. Dont take this the wrong way, I don't wish to start a pissing contest with you, you have your policy of protecting workshops from negative feedback and thats fine, I believe I can create a system which should work without risk. I can understand your position, as much as I don't agree with it, and im happy to host the website myself and meet the costs of hosting etc. Ill have a URL for you within a week. Regards Ian -
I spoke to these guys, they seemed pretty switched on. Their tuning is a bit more expensive then most other places, but on the flip side, you often get what you pay for in tuning. Im waiting on a quote back from them regarding fuel parts to support the power figure I named to the tuner, I'm hoping its competitive as I did quite like the sound of their workshop over the phone and I have heard nothing but good things, but if its significantly more expensive then the competition, well I don't have a bottomless pit of money

Workshop Feedback Forum

This seems grossly unfair on the consumers, who are the vast majority of the population of this forum. As it currently stands, workshops are getting away with daylight robbery and dodgy work every day and they are not being held to account because everyone's too scared. Lawsuits are expensive, drawn out things which often drag peoples names, including the workshops, through the mud and few every make it to trial, most being settled out of court. I doubt that most workshops, which run on a pretty tight budget, would be able to marshal sufficient resources to make a proper attack on a public forum, and even then, if in the course of the trial it comes out that the original complaint was correct, as it most likely will, then it will be thrown from court. It would be far more affordable for a workshop to simply fix their fu**ups as they should have done anyway. However I respect your decision, as gutless as it is. -
Do you mind if I ask why there are GTR badges on this GTST?

Noels clutch DID explode at the end of the day and I dont think jim berry did anything about it at all... And if it can happen to one it can happen to another, I think that Noels input is valid. Its not to say its GOING to happen to all of them but it DID happen and therefore he has a right to state this. My clutch is starting to get on a bit in age and I suspect I will be up for a replacement soon, and its worth knowing that a JB Race clutch MIGHT (however statistically small a chance) take my legs off. Its also interesting that JB didn't do anything about it, in effect he has said he is not at fault and that there was nothing wrong with his clutch. From what I know of Noel he doesn't do things dodgy, so I doubt it was a fault with the install, so one can summarize from this that it is within the normal operations of the clutch for it to explode and take half the engine bay and/or parts of your body with it, and the manufacturer see's no problem or cause for concern or apology with this? Just my 2c.

you can get around 50 bucks for it from some wreckers, they melt it down for the materials inside

I know of someone selling a complete door /w window etc, he might seperate them, ill ask for you.

hmmm IBTL? I do aggree with what old mate there has to say tho, people can be mighty jumpy around here. When I first started driving I had no idea what the difference between 91 and 98 octane was either, tho I had a mazda astina not a skyline... anyway, this thread was always destined to detoriate with a question like that...
-
hmmm... Do they only tune these nistune chip thingis? Or will they do a powerFC as well? Might be worth getting a quote from them, im in the market for a tune late december (if anyones open) or early january.
-
From what I read, someone made a point about the clutch being 2nd hand? I dont think it had ever been fitted to any car prior to noels but I dont want to get involved or respark the arguement... And I might be wrong...
-
You will hunt people down? Hmm. But anyway, please do update us on this issue of sudden poor economy, im quite intrested to see the result. I was going to book a new tune in with mark shortly, could you PM me more info as to what has happened so far? Its so hard to find a reliable tuner these days, but then every workshop has horror stories and i was pretty impressed with Godzilla last time I was there, so unless theres some shock horror story here it probably wont affect my decision.

Hi admins I had an idea a little while ago about a forum for workshop feedback (see this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Go...html&st=20) Anyway my idea is that there would be a forum, perhaps split into state sections, where people could post feedback on workshops without any form of endorsement from SAU itself. Each workshop would be entitled to a single thread and there would be no stickies / preference given to any particular workshop, allowing honest feedback and discussion. There would be rules to cover slanderous comments and people would have to stick to the facts strictly as well. That's not to say that workshops couldn't get a negative rap, but it would have to be a factious negative rap without slander and sticking to what actually happened etc. Regards Ian
