  1. As per the title I am after a oldskool HKS Cast Iron manifold to suit my RB20 if you have one please contact me Via PM or on 0431200311. Cheers Josh
  2. Well that awnsers my question, My understanding was that red tops were the early version and silvertops were the later version but then some of the suff i read seemed to indicate that there were also 2 versions of the silvertop. So dose this mean that an RB25 turbo will go straight on my silvertop without having to change to RB25 oil & waterlines or having to get custom ones made?
  3. Really? Cos ive never seen a rb20det without RB20 stamped into the timing cover
  4. Thanks for that but how bout telling an early Rb20 motor from a late one
  5. Im looking at putting a RB25 turbo on my RB20 silvertop and from what i have read S2 RB25 turbos are the best for this and also that the water and oil lines on an early RB20 will not line up with the RB25 turbo. So my question is firstly how do i tell if my RB20 is an early one or a late one? and secondly how do i tell S1 RB25 turbos from S2's? so far ive seen 25 turbos with 45V2, 45V3, and 16V stamped on the comp covers. Cheers Josh
  6. 170,000km on the clock serviced every 5000km's its auto, got the manifolds off a l20et, a small front mount, a bov, and a rb25det turbo made 98.8kw and 290nm of torque with 2 in jectors that started leaking halfway throu the dyno run so that has been fixed and was running 10psiwhen i crashed it, so it hadnt been back on the dyno since then so i guess it would have made 115kw then, it also comes with a nismo works cam (not installed) so with that, 12psi, and a manual box 140kw would be fairly achievable also i found that there are little tin restrictors in the exhaust ports which were used for emmissions so if you pulled them out that would make a huge difference. im only really wanting to sell it complete im bacicly chasing $1500 for the motor and $200 for the car the turbo gear cost me $2000 and took me 2 years to find the stuff but at this stage i will take offers
  7. forsale wrecked 1984 MR30 TI with a custom built L24ET in it. Car was one of a kind and mint until i hit a tree init im chasing $1700 but im open to offers any more questions dont hesitate to ask im in adelaide south aus http://pixpipeline.com/d/9b2391ab1e47.jpg
  8. Last Tursday night whilst heading to a mates place something in the front lefthand side of my broke sending me straight into a tree at about 70kmh completly destroying my car i was lucky to walk away with only a few chipped teeth, brused ribs, and a pretty badly brused shoulder but none of that compares to loseing my pride and joy. i will try to get some pics of the dammage up this arvo.
  9. na mate the l20et manifolds are a T3 patten so the RB25 turbo being a T3 bolted straight up Cheers josh
  10. thankx guys . Im not running the L24E ecu im running the L20ET ecu and afm i just said that the L24E ones worked and ive been running 8psi and it has shown no signs of pinging as yet but its going on the dyno tomorow to suss out the air fuel ratios and fiddle with the timing. At the moment im running 5psi cos i had an injector that was leaking externally and have had to temporarally put a n/a in its place so im getting a set of secondhand RB30E injectors as they only flow 3cc lower than the L20ET ones so it should be back up to 8psi today and possibly 10psi tomorrow. But to whoever has concidered doing this conversion i say dont think twice about it just do it, its a awsome car to drive now.
  11. well i thought id never say this but its finally done my car is turbo yay i knocked it off in just one weekend with the the help of a few boyz from the r31club ive still got a few things i wanna do ova the next month or so e.g. cam, bigger exhaust, bigger front mount, and a bit of tuning but basicly ive been running 8psi and it dosnt ping at all i also found it will run with the N/A ecu and afm but not with the l20et throttle possition sensor i started off wid the l20et tps and the thing was hitting the rev limiter at 3000rpm and cutting the fuel after trying just about everything i decided to try the N/A tps and bingo thats what it was. Its going on the dyno this saturday just to suss out the air fuel ratio and fiddle wid the timing to hopefully allow a bit more boost. I will get some pics up soon just got a few things to sort out and tidy up and then i will take some photos.
  12. Just about any real skyline fanatic knows and respects the DR30 they are real head turners. I think the reason there arnt many geting around is because not enough people can be bothered importing them they just go and buy 32's and 33's and it is true that parts can be difficult to source.
  13. ok wat it sounds like to me is an out of balance tail shaft
  14. check out this sit its got some good mods for HR30's just use Google to translate it http://www.aurora.dti.ne.jp/~joinme/index.html
  15. check the PCV valve first of all they are prone to getting blocked up with crap if you arent sure where that is i can post a pic showing it
  16. chucked my car on the dyno at tafe the other day it made 75KW at the wheels not verry impressive but we also chucked the lectures modified 302 Windsor powered Fairlane on and everyone recons that my car was louder yay.
  17. as we speak the ecu i have for my turbo project is being checked out by an ecu expert and he seems to think that there were actually 2 different L20ET ecu's one with a single plug and the other with the 3 plug configuration but i will have a definent awnser in the next week or so
  18. why dont we all just stop this shit otherwise more and more people will start leaving and the fourm will just fall apart and then where will we be ?
  19. you all should be ashamed of your selves to drive someone who has helped so many people to this piont. i will definantly keep in touch and Sl!m and rukus you can both suck my JOHN!!
  20. i have almost got all the gear i need for the conversion and providing nothing major go's wrong it could all be on in as little as 3 weeks. my major concern at the moment is the ecu i have as im not 100% sure what it is so ive got the number for a guy that can give me the awnsers i need i just have to find time to call him and im also not sure wheather i will need a high volume oil pump or not, ive been given a test to do once i get my oil lines on to see if the stock pump will flow enough. I was told to run the oil feed hose into a cup and then start the engine for 15seconds and see how much oil came out and i told them what i was doing they seemed to think that it may flow too much oil for the turbo and that i may need to put a reducer in.
  21. i think what he was saying is he put the RB20 turbo on it because it spooled up faster and reached high boost alot quicker which would make it better for drifting corect me if im wrong Cheers josh
  22. As far as i know they go straight in with no mods to engine mounts or anything you just need to do a bit of cutting and shutting with the radiator hoses This link should help with the RB20DET conversion http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?t...T_into_your_R31 Cheers Josh
  23. ok i need one of the compressor outlets circled in the pic to suit a RB25 turbo i have the stock outlet elbow if anyone wants to swap otherwise if you have one you want to sell let me know
  24. what happened to my post why was it modified arent we allowed to stick up for old scool skylines ???
