Yea yea typical male line fat boy,,,"oh the women forgot to do the wheel nuts up". Fess up hommo,,,we all know Jenna was doing the electrics and you were sitting on ya fat arse drinking beer wondering how to put a wheel on one handed. I hear it eveyday pal,,bloody wife smashed the mirror off again,,,bloody wife smashed the car again,,,bloody wife reversed into what ever. Blah Blah bloody Blah. Cheers Neil.

I hope your dry sumping her this time Ben. http://www.asroilpans.com/other-oilpan-gallery.html Cheers Neil.

Two and a half pairs actually. I seem to remember always thinking Kel's 350z wheels were as heavy as. Troy weigh one for me will you. Cheers Neil.

Yea I hear what you are saying Zebra-man but it's all good,,,given the power output I'm restricted to I think the 18's will be great. I'm just about finished with buying out of the states,,,I only need a dry sump pump now. I received my gauges today,,,I must say stack make great gear,,,everything is included,,,funny the pressure senders are autometer and all connectors are water proof. I bought oil and water temp,,,oil and fuel pressure. That should do me nicely. Cheers Neil.
-
Well I'll definately be on slicks,,,very sticky ones that is. Cheers Neil.

Thanks Dave thats a excellent read,,,I'm enjoying your build. We need to move our fuel filters though hey,,,they are in such a pain of a spot. I'm going to run the plazmaman manifold as well,,,sounds like I better order it now. Cheers Neil.

Oh Ya,,,mid field,,,wouldn't that be awsome great fun. Think I'd last 3 meeting tops before getting a second job to buy one of these. http://www.my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/65/p/3/k/West/id/1348/Default.aspx http://www.westracecars.com.au/leasebuy/used-race-cars which would be great for maybe 2 seasons and I'd still be packing shelves at Woolies every night. But on a different note,,,I've changed my mind on wheels,,,I thought I was only allowed to go up an inch both ways from standard which would be 17 x 7.5 but a re-read of the rules see's me able to run 2 inches both ways so I'm now looking for 18 x 8.5. After much searching I finally bought these Sparco belts. Not only because the dollar is great but you just can't buy them here at the moment. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200451877096&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Still waiting on gauges to come out of England,,,they should be here in a week or two. Thats it for now. Cheers Neil.

I'm interested,,,never drag raced the Radical let alone straight lining her over 1000 metres and Temora's only a 5 to 6 maybe 7 hour tow with breaks. Think I'll sent an e-mail to them for more info. Funny there's no website link at all or who's sanctioning it. Cheers Neil.

Yea I have to agree it looks great,,,but I have questions about it. Sure the starting price is right,,,not a cent more,,,but have a look at how short the draw bar is and how far back the wheels are. Might be great for a light car but I wouldn't put a Skyline in it. The other problem is if you want to store heavy gear in it,,,you better strap everything down good and proper. Cheers Neil.
-
I'm confused,,,do you two want centre lock wheels or just that style of wheel. Cheers Neil.

Not a real lot of major work has been happening with Cheryl lately,,,just a lot of jobs that need doing before the interiors finished. I've almost decided on wheels though,,,I'm thinking R32 GTR V-spec's. If they are good enough for a 4wd then they are good enough for me. I have a set here I'm minding so I fit them up and see what they look like. I've pulled the pin on running at World Time Attack,,,I need a speed fix sooner so the Radical is going to get some work done on her and I'll be going hillclimbing again. Seems there's no rush though as my tyres are still on the way from pommy land,,,Avon stuffed up the order apparently. Early on in this thread someone thought I was crazy not spending my budget on the Radical,,,check these lap times out of Wakefield last weekend. Mines a 2000 Prosport,,,not the latest SR3. I'd be about a 1.01. and don't anybody try changing this lunatics views. I tried every option I could think of,,,including alcohol but to no avail. When his bitch is running great she's a bloody missile,,,a 1.08 in IMPR traffic is quick,,,shit I've even done a 1.16 trundling around. What shits me the most is we always seem to be playing catch up. Never do we get a chance to actually improve the thing. Neil.

You know whats also a bitch is trying to find the schedule for this weekend. I'd like to print it out and stick it up on the inside of the trailer,,,but I'll be stuffed if I can find it. Cheers Neil.

Oh can we please stop with the bloody rain game...Friday possible showers 5-19,,,Saturday possible showers 8-17 and Sunday partly cloudy 7-16. Pack your SAU Jacket Handles. Cheers Neil.

Nope sorry boys,,,while all that stuff looks good,,,I'm not sold. All these trolleys and winches sound and look great but when it's pissing down rain/stinking hot/rough ground and you need to get the car and you out of it all the simple enclosed trailer where you can drive the car in,,,tie it down and close the doors wins every time. Practicality rules and an enclosed trailer in my opinion cannot be beaten. phunky_monkey is going to learn some valuable leasons in loading his Radical very soon. Make sure you watch the factory boys load a car onto a trailer mate ,,,Lots and lots of wood they will use. Cheers Neil.

Round 2 is at Wakefield on the 15th 16th and 17th of this month. We get a whole weekend beforehand to fix some stuff and actually make some improvements,,,rarely do we get such luxuries. I have started a list by the way Mr Handley. That lazy bum Fatz won't be there again,,,get the car going Pete. It would be great to have some GTR fans down there by the way. Cheers Neil.

Some good work was done on the weekend,,,well actually Sunday. I finally got the passenger seat in properly so thats another headf**k out of the way. That bloody seat I think took about 6 hours to get right and I have it fitting beautifully. Duncan took to working out where the remote oil filter and oil cooler ect should go and put me to work making a good sturdy bracket for the oil filter. I'd noticed a lot of people use aluminium brackets to mount it and when you try and remove the filter it all twists and bends,,,so I'm making a nice robust steal one. I'll post some pics when it's finished. Duncan also started working out my rear wiring,,,33's are way different than 32's in soooo many ways so a lot of thought has gone in to it. Basically the battery has one big cable going done the n/s to the front and all the other wiring goes done the o/s,,,so he has removed all the rubbish and made up new fuel pump wiring for 2 pumps including relay. Looks great,,,thanks big boy. Dan,,,Duncan is racing not this coming weekend but the one after so he has me all this coming weekend and with Kel being away at Targa we can for once spend a whole weekend on his car. For once we might be able to make some improvements on his car,,,not fixing stuff ups,,,well thats not totally true we have some stuff ups to fix. It's just working out at the moment is it mate!!!. Cheers Neil.

60 Seconds could be the winner. See ya's all tonight. Cheers Neil.

And this is your worst nightmare:- Cheers Neil.

Hey Mr UAS,,,more power isn't going to fix your problems,,,that "Slot Car" as you call it,,,is what I would call in Slot Car terms a flexicar. This is your car:- This is a real Slotcar:- Cheers cardigan wearer Neil.

Brakes are all back together,,,bleed and ready to go. I had the front calipers blasted and thought maybe I'll paint them and then thought no,,,I like them raw. Heres some pics of what I'm going to run 1st up I've spent the last week trying to work out my passenger seat,,,now you would think that it would be easy,,,just buy a seat rail,,,bolt it to the seat base and it's done,,,think again. There are no standards for seats or rails. I bought a momo rail,,,nope it makes the seat sit way to high,,,I spent hours getting the seat to fit it and then looked though the front screen at this So I bought a bride rail,,but this one still didn't let the sparco seat bolt up as it fowled on the seat track adjustment lever. Hours of thinking and many beers I came up with this solution. I used these aluminum bolt in puppies inverted Lots of work but I now have a passenger seat lower and back further than before. Cheers Neil.

I'm dead against open trailers. We all have way way way to much money invested in our cars to leave them out in the open for prying eyes and thieving bastards with tools going anywhere near them. First hand experience with some turd trying to steal bits off my old sports sedan while parked at a motel overnight convinced me. I've even had idiots at bathurst that thought it would be great if they took a pic of their kids sitting in our radical while we were in a restaurant eating dinner and then getting abused by said parents. My other issue is I hate jerry cans in the tow car,,,I hate the smell,,,I hate the danger and I hate the thought of some mongrel tampering with them. I like them locked up so no one can touch them,,,call me paranoid but I just don't like it and it does happen. Personally I'm happy to cop the aero problems and the pain of dragging an enclosed trailer around. The security of a lockable enclosed one suits me perfectly. I like the fact I can leave all my tools/spares/cooking stuff,,,everything in it. But the best one is a rainy or a stinking hot weekend of racing,,,shelter from the elements will make life with an enclosed trailer well worth it. Eastern Creek 2 weekends ago was a prime example,,,it pissed down ALL weekend and we were high and dry. I often looked out to see all the ezy-up racers huddled under there aluminum tents drenched!!!. We cooked lunches,,,laughed and had a great time. Heres 2 pics of ours. Cheers Neil.

Hi Dale,,,there are a few SAUers who come out to play. I'm surprised no one has posted. I'll be out running later in the year. Cheers Neil.

Thanks boy's for the info. I'm looking at making an aluminum book holder for the poor bastard in the silly seat. Cheers Neil.
