  1. Yep! There is a red one as well & I can buy it for about $150.00 here in Oz. I think the GT-R Works Super Silhouette is a better model. Cheers, D
  2. Interesting what you find! I stumbled across a 320 dual cab ute, same configuration as the 520, but the owner wouldn't sell it to me at any cost and it ended up at SIMS as scrap. Might have been an interesting project for an SR20 or A15. D
  3. Nope! And it will take a lot of $$$$$'s to make them great again.
  4. Not really! Was nothing much to see, but a lot of cars under car covers in an open paddock with grass up over the door sills. I only took pics of the Paul Newman sedan, as he wouldn't let me take them of the S54 & GTEX. D
  5. Have you been there too?
  6. Hi All, On a recent trip to Queensland I met up with the guy that owns the only Paul Newman sedan in Australia and over a beer or 2 we chatted nothing but Nissan for hours on end. I can now add all it's details into my register, so it's complete with all 4 confirmed in Australia. He took me out to see his "secret stash" and it certainly is a stash. About 30 plus cars, mostly Skylines & 240K's. Included in this stash lies a genuine S54 Prince Skyline GTB complete with G7 engine and triple carbs, an JDM C210/211 2000 GTEX and of course the HR30 Paul Newman sedan. This guy is sitting on quite a collection and on his request, it's location will stay a secret and any pics I have will stay unpublished. It was quite an eye opener. Cheers, D
  7. Another defecter to the dark side
  8. Found this in my travels recently and thought it would be a nice collectable momento.
  9. Where he has fabricated the all new lower control arm, he has an Rose Joint (Ball joint thingy) where it mounts to the rails/cross member. And another member of the forum is now enjoying my 1UZFE V8 Cressida. With 2 x PNV's, an DR, Jackaroo & Cressida in the stable, I can't drive them all so something had to go and reluctantly, it was the V8 ultimate tourer/cruiser. With LPG/Diesel getting fitted this week, the Jack will now take over my daily role. Cheers, D
  10. Very nice build! It is a UK thread, so if you plan on doing all this to cars in Aust check your registration authorities, because what he is doing isn't completely legal in Aust. Registration authorities in Aust don't like welding cross members, wether it be bracing or not and engineering would be compulsory. Remember if you plan competing your car in anything CAMS affiliated, just one rose joint means "Sports Sedan Class" without exception. Cheers, D
  11. What's the big deal about Horsepower? If you're doing a big bore L28, your going to need an N42 block and be sure to have it Sonic tested to be sure the bores are thick enough after the 3.0mm over bore. The common thought is to use the siamesed F54 block, but I will be very surprised to see any F54 block capable of taking an 89.0mm bore and the N42 block has a higher silicone content. This L31 engine has been done to bits and very well documented online, but turbo is not normally the way to go, because the bore becomes a bit thin and under high boost pressure, the bores are porous. I'm doing an 87.0mm bore (2818cc) 380 injectors, about 250HP @ wheels and over 600Nm torque, so who needs HP. Your going to need; LD28 diesel crank, L24E rods, KA24E pistons for your bottom end. Rods should be chromoly or H beam forged & pistons forged to KA24E specs. Cheers, D
  12. Check back tomorrow afternoon Boof
  13. It is quite a nice car! I looked at it in Queensland for him before he purchased it and I took over 40 pics of it from all sorts of angles, back when it had the original L20et in it. For the money, it is very good value and if I had known it was available 6 weeks ago, I would not have moved on the HR30 in Balina. Cheers, D
  14. That's yours? Where you come from? I thought you might not be breathin after your army intro lol Cheers, D
  15. My translator is a neighbours wife & he/she has my owners manual to decipher the words, but you're talking about a diferent light. D
  16. PLUS the customs duty because the value has to be under AU$1000.00 to get thru duty free, which includes cost + freight so you wont get out of it for under about AU$1200.00 minimum. A bonnet is to big to come EMS, so duty will be involved due to it being part of the container load. Your going to save about 15kg, maybe 20 tops? Be easier & cheaper to go on a diet if you're worried about the weight factor. D
  17. I have found a reasonable example of the chrome trim across the front of the bonnet on an C110 if anybody is interested? Give out a yell if you need one? Cheers, D
  18. Dan, Can you text me your email address to 0406142529 and I'll send back pics of the bits I got for you on the weekend. D
  19. I sent you a pic yesterday. The rear bar wasn't all that good, but without success, tried to get it off in any case. Where it was bent, it was hard up against the towbar and bolts not accessable. Sorry! D
  20. 1 set only, R31 rear polyurethane bush kit. Part numbers: SPF0610K & SPF0619K still sealed in original packaging. Currently selling on Nissansilvia.com for $156.00 with 25% off. My price $100.00. Grab them now whilst you have the chance. Call me 0406142529.
  21. That was the stand out car of the show in Adelaide and it should have been awarded that. Not just my opinion, but most of who I spoke to thought it deserved Car of the Show, no matter what everyone else has said since. I was branded a trouble maker for suggesting such an outcome. It sure is a treasure! Cheers, D
  22. Has anyone thought about going to this event? http://www.orange-nsw.com/Gnoo_Blas_Classic.html Held in February every year in Jack Brabham Park, in the centre of the old Gnoo Blas race track. Next year, 2011 is commemorating the 1st International race meeting in Australia. The 1955 South Pacific Championships for Racing, Sports & Sedan cars. It was on this track, at the ripe old age of 8, I watched Jack Brabham blitz the field in the 1958 South Pacific Championship driving his Cooper-Climax that he took back to Europe to win the 1st of his 3 World Drivers Championships in 1959 and during the race he set the 1st 100mph lap on Australian soil. Cheers, D
  23. I just sent off an email to Import Monster, asking if they can check around.
  24. Sorry! I'm full of suggestions eh? But they no work. I'll ask my Nissan guys on Monday. Alternatively has anyone asked the importers???
  25. Are they NOT available new out of Japan? Has anyone asked their local Nissan dealer about the availability of a new bonnet?? Sure it might be expensive, but what price do you put on CAN'T GET in AUSTRALIA??? D
