  1. I paid $450.00 for my first one + freight from Lismore via Lyndsay Bros Tpt but it was a tad special. F54 Block, P90 head, race prepped to the value of $5000.00 20 years before, an Ivan Tighe cam & dual stage throttle body and I thought I had a good deal. I guess yours is out of an MQ Patrol and therefore all N42 bits, so $250.00 is close to the mark if you can get it. I would try it out @ $250..0 and see if they're interested and negotiate from ther if you really want to sell it. Cheers, D
  2. Yeah! I would have thought the R31 crossmember might have been the way to go as the rail widths are very similar. 776mm for R30 & 746mm for R31 which would explain why the lower control arms of the R31 are slightly longer to counteract the narrower rail measurement. The other issue I can see is re drilling the R30 rails to match the mount holes of the R31 crossmember because the holes are not just further apart length ways than the R30, but 15mm each side narrower. As I said earlier, seems like a sh!t load to much stuffing around when all your trying to eliminate is a little play in the ball joints in the steering linkage. I seem to remember reading an article once, that if your sole purpose of the vehicle to blast down a 400m drag strip in a straight line, the rack & pinion conversion is fine, but if the car is meant to go around corners, forget it as the geometry will never be as accurate as the original steering box and linkage arrangement. Anyway, I just got a steering box back from my man and @ $450.00 for a full rebuild, I'm sticking with that. I have just about sorted a steering box brace back to the strut tower & replaced the idler arm bushes with polyurethane, so I think my steering will be about as good as it can get. Cheers, D
  3. Sounds like to much trouble for the buck to me, but good luck anyway.
  4. Things aren't as they seem Jon! This grille never came out on Paul Newmans as PNV's were only built as S2 models. It also is not rare! The rare version as far as I know only was fitted HR30 models going to South Africa and is full chrome, but as the cars originated in Japan, I guess there would be a few there to. This grille was primarily fitted to poverty pack (base model) versions of HR30 hardtops (coupes) & sedans. D
  5. He might be looking for a JDM because of the headlight washer pods? The Aussie MR30 is the same but needs the plastic cut away to fit the nozzle pods. D
  6. Correct in every way! These is the 280Z rims
  7. Good ones are getting thin on the ground these days, so maybe if your prepared to wear a bit of skinny dog freight, you might want to get one from just about anywhere. Cheers, D
  8. Mario, Some time back, before your involvement in this forum, an acquaintance of mine wanted to sell an C110 GTR look-a-like. It was an Australian delivered C110 240K with all the GTR add ons including dash, instrument cluster, body kit, rear lights, seats etc etc etc, for all intents and purposes it was an C110 GTR, but for the stock L24 engine and gearbox & ozzy tags, yet it went to Kuwait for $14,500.00 plus all expenses. The owner has a contact in Japan, that sent him everything needed to make the car into a GTR look-a-like, clone, replica, whatever. I don't know if Ali did the middle man work or not, but most certainly went to Kuwait and at $14500.00, I thought was a top price for an Oz delivered 240K Coupe. Cheers, D
  9. You might have to ask him! That might be a good start I would think?
  10. As I recall this; it was found by someone on this forum and a question was raised about what it would be worth, but somebody got in her (the old lady owner) ear and listed it on ebay and it sold for less than half this price from Fairfield NSW area. Now the guy that had it in Classic Car Magazine came onto this forum telling us all how he got it a a great bargain price and how good it was and how it was just perfect in every way it was and all he had to do to it was change all the fluids and it was a great goer and he drove it back up the coast. AND now it's for sale? Ummmmm the arabs I don't think would pay that much for it, but having said that, they would probably be the only ones that will. Cheers, D
  11. Ummmmm Derrrrrrr ummm ............................... you ever think of sending him an email or PM, as I'm sure he would pass on all the info after he sees the message. When I was looking at an RB30DET >>>>> MR30Ti sedatch, my research found it was reasonably easy. Having said that, WHY! does he want to in the first place, because you of all people know the deal with L series 6's. D
  12. I'm sorry to hear about your plight Donnie, but you are posting in the wrong section, although some CLASSIC owners have these later models as well. CLASSIC SKYLINES is for up to and including R31 models, that's 1988/89 sort of era & your R34 is certainly past this. If you post in the right section you will most certainly get lots of answers. Below is a list of popular searches, do you think you could see something of interest in there. Popular Searches • Nissan R35 GTR • Nissan Skyline R34 GTR • Nissan Skyline R33 GTR • Nissan Skyline R32 GTR • Nissan Stagea • Nissan Cefiro • RB26 • RB25 • RB20 Maybe try in other Skyline Imports, or engine specific as above, even the Stagea guys might be able to assist.
  13. Not what Summit Racing told me! They claim there is no option for air & steer? I am sourcing the balancer locally. A modified BMW unit at about $400.00. Cheers, D
  14. Press the search button and you will find information about this conversion. From memory, the biggest hurdle is the different rear gearbox mount, but engines are same except for pivot bush in the back of the crank & bellhousing mounts are same no matter if using a 4 or 6cyl front housing.
  15. Oh! Forgot. Talk to some of those that know and they have experienced lots of problems with these ATi balancers.
  16. See my post on your Group Buy thread. Absolutely useless if Air Con & Power Steer is required as ATI don't have options for these extra belts.
  17. If Power Steer & Air Cond is required, these are useless as 2 & 3 grooves are needed for the drive belts.
  18. Will they work with a front sump arrangement as Zeds are rear configuration?
  19. The arm was bent when he hit a gutter + caster bar was cracked and please tell me why a 2nd hand arm is no good when it's done less than 100K and for free? Also, have never seen a successful replacement outer ball joint in any R30!
  20. It cost me $850.00 by Door to Door Car Transport from Sunshine Coast to Castle Hill & they quoted the other figures when I enquired recently. CEVA are about $1600 to Adelaide and these 2 are about the cheapest. D
  21. $850 Freight to Sydney, $1100 to Melbourne and about $1400 to Adelaide + cost + restore = about $10,000.00 which it aint worth.
  22. Then try this maybe; http://cgi.ebay.com.au/GTR-Aluminium-Badge-pulsar-200sx-skyline-r33-r34-/370281070801?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item563678c0d1 D
  23. What about $200.00 and you can keep the Nardi?
  24. You could send it Skinny Dog Freight & you could pick it up from their Botany Depot.
