  1. It was very tight for me, as I need the pizza & beer version. Half a lap around your front yard and I would be crippled for life, but I am extremely surprised he doesn't fit in it as he says and they have to be firm fit, not sloppy to be effective and the diferrences in size only changes in mm's, not inches & feet, so when he is looking for a replacement he might get a surprize. D
  2. Same seat .......... just Mag86, ummm Factory 5 now?
  3. Interesting item turns up on ebay? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BRIDE-fixed-back-Race-seat-Rails-suit-Nissan-H-DR30-Skyline-Genuine-/320833157287?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ab32578a7
  4. This is correct my learned colleague, but S2 guards have the high mount indicator hole cut into them where S1 just does not huh?
  5. The question raised was CLASSES, not individual cars persay, but you obviously don't read to well either Ash? I don't see anywhere in the web site that says "prizes will be awarded to individual class entry cars", what it does say as you clearly point out is A panel of judges will award "points" to the best presented individual cars and it goes on to say things about the forum doing it's best with it's layout, so as I said, ALL the points will go towards the aggreagate for the forum presentation. Tell me how I have got this all wrong please god! When it goes down, it might actually happen the way you're suggesting, but it does not say it anywhere and it certainly does not say anything about individual classes for entries. What you need is classic cars that will hold their own against the more modern R32/33/34/35, GTR etc and outside of Japan those cars are extremely rare. This isn't a car show for individual class entries, but a show where BLING is BEST and the more the better and D-Limo's lattest aquisition is probably a good example. The bottom line for me is simply this: You didn't want to know us last year at your ASHNATS 2011, promoted as the biggest show ever, surpassing everything before it and labelled SKYLINE nationals, yet now to make up a more diverse presentation you want the classic section of the forum to help you out??? Isn't this right your grace? D
  6. I'm probably going to get banned from this forum by our almighty god Ash, aka R31Nismoid, but that is how it is if it is ................... but! Show n Shine : 20 cars per forum with each forum given an area within the Rally Calder Service Park precinct to “make their own”. A panel of judges will award points to the best presented individual cars and car forum as a whole – so get those creative juices flowing in terms of your areas! The above is all the information on the Forum Battle web site. It is my guess that there is NO INDIVIDUAL prizes, but a group prize, but the cars will be judged individually and collectively the points will be awarded to the forum with the highest aggregate point score. I might be wrong, but this is how I read it. I also think this is an SAU VIC show, not national and Ash's involvement and aspirations of winning has more to do with him being able to throw his chest out and beat it whilst saying I DO! I DO! I DO! etc, etc, etc. I find the simple fact that it is Ash that is making this request to us "CLASSIC" owners, when for his own ASHNATS 2011 he didn't give 2 sh!ts about classics and proved it with his collective class for everything pre 1989 or thereabouts, yet individual classes for everything else including NON SKYLINE vehicles. eg. Silvia's, Zed's etc in the so called SKYLINE NATIONALS he was promoting, but now he wants us to help his ego??? It doesn't matter to me because I wont be here, I'll be touring the apple isle when this event is being held, but even if I was I wouldn't enter anything the god almighty has anything to do with. Cheers, D
  7. What you need and where are you? But most of all, what series is your car?? S1 1981~Aug 83, or S2 Sept 83~85??? I have a full sick chrome S1 honey combe grille, probably have headlights to match, but only got S2 guards that not keen to let go. Cheers, D
  8. There is an alternative IF? If the little bolts around your wheels actually do something, that is hold the centres to the rims, or are they just decoration?? If the wheels come apart, like Victory said, a good wheel man/place will strip the rims, re polish & re lacquer and after reassembly, they will look like new, but it will be at a cost. There must be someone up your neck of the woods that can do this for you. Hope everything works out for you. Cheers, D
  9. It is my impression when I was researching them for my tow car & replacements for the KHR30, 4700k was Daylight, 6000k was Super White and anything past that was blue - purple the higher up the Kelvin scale you go and Kelvin is a temperature measure ONLY, nothing to do with brightness of a particular globe rating. I have genuine Philips 6000K HID in my Jackaroo and cruising at night, Sydney ~ Melbourne & Sydney ~ Gold Coast they are without a doubt genuine 100kph plus lights on low beam and the high beam isn't much advantage over low. Better and more light with a good set of driving lights with good quality globes. My advice is not buy sh!t ebay ex China/Hong Kong brands for $50 odd dollars. Their wiring kits & ballasts are sub standard and will often catch fire when your least expecting it & loosing the car is a very high possibility. If they are blinding, lower the beam slightly until you find your not looking straight into the beam, irrespective of your globe choice, but adjusting to NSW RTA specs is absurd. A guide for me is when you're following another car about 20-30m behind and if your low beam isn't above the boot line, or bottom of rear windscreen they are adjusted properly enough to not distract. 10. I'm going back this comming weekend guys, Saturday morning to be precise so get your orders in. Cheers, D
  11. Ummmmmm what is expensive when it just isn't available? What cost do you put on "Cant get & not available"? I recently bought a badge in from Japan for my KHR30 Paul Newman Version and landed it cost me about $120.00. Take a look and then decide!
  12. Unfortunately it's how it is and I bet if it was your car commanding $10-15000.00 and it was going offshore, you really wouldn't care if it stayed in Oz. As I said in another thread my cars if I still have em when I die will have to get a home because my kids don't give a stuff about them. My daughter says she wants one of them, but her attitude towards her own car (Mazda SP23) tells a diferent story to me. Cheers, D
  13. erik, This is what I would be doing if in fact it's the badge you want. http://www.importmon....jpg&title=C210 Probably cost you about $120.00 landed for the 2. Cheers, D
  14. Sorry! This badge is cactus on the wreck.
  15. Sorry guys, been n gone, let home at 0800 Sydney time and never saw any of this. I have taken some pics on my phone and are attached, but the front carpet has gone to Mario along with some other bits he needed. I took the vents and surrounds from the console cause I know they break. I'll give you an idea of the costs, front carpet, dirty as f@#k but intact, console vents, big heater hose under l/h/s of dash, the cover under glove box, and various clips & rubber plugs cost me $20.00. Can somebody do me a favour and post a picture of the interior rear view mirror and it's mount please, as I have never seen one, but have numerous rear view mirrors here from earlier Nissans I have had. The sunvisors are intact along with the clips, the chrome mould is also there for rear door, front and rear bumpers in fair straight condition, grille intact, but no headlight surrounds (I got them for Dan once before) Cheers, D
  16. No I don't but I'll look tomorrow at the wreckers
  17. NJo I don't but I'll look at the wreckers tomorrow
  18. Ummmm huh? You want an C210 grille badge to fit into your R33 grille?? And an C210 boot badge for your R33??? Have we got this right????
  19. Very interesting manufacturer in his description? I wasn't aware N.S.U ever made this model?? Look at the address ....... ummm Minchinbury, sorta says it all for me??? I bet he has heard about Kuwait's silly pricing skills and wants to cash in on it going overseas. I know the GTR look-a-like went to Kuwait for $14500.00 plus all the shipping and the deal was cut after the ebay auction expired, but it was an exceptional car, without opening the bonnet, it was for all intents and purposes a full on GTR. It had the dash, interior, full body kit, badges, rear & lights etc, everything that was a GTR except it still had the original L24 engine. This 24K car has nothing like it!!! An interesting point for me is, Shannon's are quite content insuring my factory spec PNV for $30000.00, but they wont go higher than 20000.00 on the modified version and it cost a lot more to make it that way. Cheers, D
  20. Hi All, I'm going to a wrecker tomorrow & last time I was there it had a near mint interior C210 sedan, so if anyone is in need of anything, get on here and make a list and I'll get them when I'm there. Cheers, D
  21. That's why they make hand brakes Jason, it is nearly possible to pivot around the front axle, so why yo want quicker than that?
  22. I might be right out of line here as C210's are not my go at all, but at a guess it would just be a tapered pin and they can be purchased from any industrial fastener supplier, or at worst, try a roll pin, aka spring pin of the right dimensions. Cheers, D
  23. I don't think it's the look so much as the fact that the general populous of our fair nation don't expect to see the pre 1980 Japanese cars still being driven and therefore they create more interest. I know I still get my share of looks when I'm out for a cruise in mine. Having said that, I ogle over a couple of very nice old girls that I often encounter on the M5 when on my way to work. One is a Bellet GT, and the other is an RT50 Corona coupe. D
