Well the engine as far as I'm aware, is around 80k old, I took em out at around 65k or so. So I'd suspect their at least 7-8 yrs old. engine was put in the car in sept 2000. They were running ok when I took em out, just decided to upgrade to splitfires. They're out of a r33 spec rb25.

autotech does nistune(sp) real time tuning for 33's but I almost choked at the price, unless I heard it wrong.

To be honest I'm pretty sure he only has the software to do 32's, need some other stuff to burn r33 ecu's and it aint exactly as easy. Best to give him a pm, overall I'm happy with mine but I need a retune due to a boost leak when I was getting it done.

This should be an easy one, but a quick question, if I buy a car with an epa on it and no rego in victoria, can I get a day permit to get it up to Canberra? or will I need to trailer it up? Car has an epa on it for excessive noise.

Great thread, I've read through 160 pages and learnt a few things and thought I'd post here and asks some questions, as I don't really want to read the next 160 pages just to find out lol. Basically the comment was made that if you have a gts4 or gtr it is best to either get a gtr head to do the conversion? or get a 26 instead?(in the case of a gts4? I currently have a 25 in the car) As mounting the rb30 in the bay without a greddy or plazmaman (sp) IM was a PITA? Is this still the case?

Thread bumping time - I've currently got a 25 in my 4 door gts4, have a gtr bonnet already. So apart from the motor itself, what would I need to change to get it on the road and registered apart from the engine/turbo?. I could probably recoup some of my money by selling the 25. The car already has a couple supporting mods, ie hks front mount,z32 afm, allegedly aftermarket gearset (but I'll take that with a pinch of salt) ,pod, grex oil cooler, and relocator kit. Not after anything else cosmetic wise atm .
